And it's Magnum Cafe's grand finale today. I used go here for their Make Your Own Magnum bar but I've never tried their food. Today is my last chance to do so! Dropped by for early lunch with my sister before running errands while my parents are out. 128522

I chose the Seared Chicken with Arugula and Sundried Tomato Pesto (P270). Marinated chicken breast, grilled, and served on top of penne with sundried tomato pesto sauce. The sauce didn't have any hint of pesto, but it tasted more like bolognese sauce. They probably ran out of arugula also that's why they served it with lettuce. I liked it anyway. 128556

My sister loves anything with white sauce so she ordered their Carbonara with Cocoa Dusted Bacon and Sous Vide Egg (P320). Spaghetti with parmesan, bacon and cream sauce. The 60-degree cooked egg had a thick, gooey yolk and creamy white, which added richness to the dish. She enjoyed it a lot, especially the uber crispy bacon. Halfway through her meal, she started to find it cloying because it was literally swimming in cream. 128517

No queue before 11am when we arrived but they already had a lot of customers seated inside. Took them around 20 minutes to serve our food which was understandable. I noticed most of their customers were also taking this last chance to try the plated desserts. When we left the place past 12 noon, there was already a long queue outside.

By the way, Magnum Cafe is holding an hourly raffle for their customers today. They asked me to write my name and details on a raffle stub. You can get a chance to win Magnum DIY bars, a plated dessert, or a box of 24 pcs. Magnum. Boooo, I didn't win. 128514

Triple Belgian Chocolate Cookie Skillet – a duo vanilla Magnum bars served on top of hot-off-the-oven soft-baked triple Belgian chocolate dough. Their mouthwatering description made me choose this one.

The cookie was okay. Soft and chewy cookie with melted chocolates. My first 3 bites were heaven until I realized that it was too sweet for me. I usually ask for 1 glass of water only, but this time, I think I drank 4 or 5 glasses. Best when shared. #wagtakawtingin

It's their last day today! So long, Magnum Cafe. 128549128549128549

The end is near... Literally, the end is near for Magnum Cafe in Manila.
Since they'll be closing for good this Sunday, I suggested to my friend to have our last make your own Magnum. There was no line so it's good news, because as we all know, the line has always been a John Lloyd film.
Although the news is heartbreaking, what's good is that the service and serving never changed from start to end. They are still accommodating even though we are for take out, the staff were affable, too, of course, to make your experience more unforgettable.
I will miss the struggle of choosing the topping, bar flavor, coating, and the drizzle. (And of course, the plated desserts)
Today, I got chopped pistachios, chocolate crunch balls, gold nuggets, and sea salt flakes(I really don't know why he asked me for another one when I already picked three, ngayon ko lang napansin. Crush ako nung staff. Hahaha joke, thank you na lang), a chocolate magnum bar, dark chocolate coating, then white chocolate drizzle. I always loved sweet ice cream but with a little salty for excitement. I think this is the very last Magnum bar I will ever made. But I really hope they will open again after few years! The hope won't die, chocolates are gems of the world.
Just grabbed my last one before they close their doors.

Who would not love this?

This Magnum Burger has a 1/3 pound of Wagyu patty with melted cheddar cheese, tomato and lettuce. Very simple yet incredibly good! That dripping juice from wagyu patty when I took a bite was just heaven.

This is one of the must-try dishes in this cafe. Sad to say, we only have a few days left to enjoy their menu.

Guys! They are open till Sunday only. Come on up and give it a try! 128077128077128077

Yan na lang laman ng review ko. Hahaha. Eh kasi...this is a testament to the saying "all good things must come to an end". For a brief moment, this chocolate bar has sweeped the nation even moreso with this cafe. I wasn't able to try their dishes but focused more on the dessert. Had this, Triple Belgian Chocolate Cookie Skillet, and their Red Velvet. Both were equally good though being the cookie lover that I am, this stood out for me. The cookie wasn't sweet and paired nicely with the ice cream bars. I wasn't a fan of the cookies on top (too sweet for me) but still, this was a win.

So long Magnum Manila Cafe! Hope to see you again soon? 128557128523128532 #mixedemotions #emotional #lol

#walangforever number 2 - Magnum Cafe. We haven't really tried the "Make your own Magnum" part here coz the line was always long so we always go for the plated desserts. Since they'll be closing out on the 26th, we decided to give it a shot.

Surprisingly, the Make Your Own Magnum line wasn't long when we got there but the dine-in line was. Here is what I got ---

Chocolate Magnum Bar x Dark Chocolate coating x pistachio x potato chips x caramel balls x sea salt x chili flakes x milk chocolate drizzle

EPIC! So good! Loved the combination of sweet and salty and a little spicy kick. I'm planning to give this another and improve it. I really wanted some more heat so I would need to add more chili flakes next time 128556

Dropped by for the last time before Magnum Cafe bids goodbye on the 26th. Kirby G Chichi T Dastine S April H and I initially wanted to try the Cookie Dough Skillet but there was a long queue, and they need to go back to Makati before 3PM to catch a show. Settled for the DIY Magnum bars instead and it didn't disappoint. 128523

Happiness on a stick! Dark chocolate coated vanilla ice cream with caramel popcorn, gold nuggets, pistachios and sea salt, drizzled with white chocolate. I'm a sucker for popcorn and I was happy to see that they now have caramel popcorn toppings. Bakit ngayon lang?! 128557 I wanted to try the dessicated coconut but it might taste weird so nevermind. The sea salt was a good addition because it striked the perfect balance between salty and sweet. Yumm!

We had dined here for some dessert last night with my friends and my sister too!!

Since we read over some reviews that they're closing soon we decided to finally give this resto a try!!

Thanks to Jenn N for recommending Magnum Manila coz their desserts are really gheeed!! 128149

What we had was their Triple Belgian Cookie Skillet for Php 320 and the Death By Chocolate for Php 350.

When the desserts arrived by our table we were surprised to how big it is. The cookie skillet was actually good for more than 2 persons. So were more than excited when Death By Chocolate arrived by our table coz it was really huge. 128539

The consistency of the Cookie Skillet was okay there were parts that it was crumbly and their were parts that it was soft and chewy. It was served with two magnum bars whichade it even more delish!! While the Death By Chocolate was somehow a soufflé type of dessert with lots of chocolate that comes with a creamy sauce which tastes like a custard cream. 11088128588128525

They've got good interiors I must say, the place smells good too!! 128522 Smells like vanilla all thru out our stay. 128077

Service was not that good they were not very accommodating to the guests, not that acknowledgeable too. They even gave us crooked plates. Huhu!! 128554128078

I'm giving them a good rating coz of the yummy dessert that we ate hope that they would do something about their service. 128076128513

This pop-up store is closing come July 26. Of course, I have to try it before it does. Did not order desserts at Todd English for this ha. 128513

Quite disappointed with what we got. My expectations were not met. 128532 The Cookie Dough Skillet at 320php was just an okay, nothing super wow. And not something I will come back for. I liked Bunny Baker's or Scout Honor's better. I was looking for the chewyness and moist I loved with the two other mentioned shops. I found Magnum's quite dry and not so moist and chewy.

Magnum Cafe is a pop-up store that opened in April 2014. It's supposed to be open for just 12 months but they extended for a couple of months. The place is set to close on July 26.

We were the first ones in the store so we were seated in one of the booths. The booths are the best place to sit because of the fancy lighting and decadent magnum creations on the wall. We ordered the Cajun Spiced Chicken Poppers, and the Pink Friday. Of of course, my girlfriend and I made sure to make our own Magnum creation.

The chicken poppers were divine. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The poppers come with white bacon gravy which was very creamy. It was the perfect dip for the perfect poppers. I highly recommend this.

The Pink Friday consists of strawberry marbled cheesecake, speculoos tea cookies and strawberry nerds, pink chocolate dusted vanilla Magnum and strawberry coulis. This was a delight to the eye and the palate. It had different complementing flavors brought about by the cheesecake and strawberry nerds.

After we were done eating the poppers and Pink Friday, we immediately made our own Magnum. First, you choose three toppings. Second you pick the flavor of the Magnum bar. Then, you pick the coating. Afterwhich, they top it with your choice of toppings and drizzle. Finally, they put an M chocolate coin.

It was a fun experience for me and my girlfriend. We will definitely go back one last time to try other items on the menu.  Be sure to try out the Make-Your-Own-Magnum experience before the place closes.

Before their store finally close this month, my friend and I promised that we should eat here. After having lunch, we went straight here for dessert. We ordered the Campfire S'mores. Magnum coated with "torched" marshmallow, chocolate ganache and graham crackers. Eating all the elements together brings a happy good amazing feeling in your mouth. They work so well together. 128525128077🏼 I tried eating them separately but found it too sweet. 128517

Since we heard that magnum cafe will be closing very soon, we decided to visit the place one last time :) ang drama haha

We ordered the "Melt my heart", where a brownie, strawberries and magnum ice cream are covered in a chocolate dome and the staff will pour some hot caramel to melt the dome and reveal the inside. They encourage filming the process9996🏼 Though the staff said that the dish is for one person only, it's really a huge portion so we decided to share. I don't know if I was full then but I didn't finish my share because it was too sweet but really good! To think that I have some serious sweet tooth :) The magnum ice cream with cookie skillet is their best seller with two magnum ice cream so I think it's very good for sharing.

Magnum cafe will be open til july 26(i think)...

Waited 30 minutes for a cup of coffee and was told that we needed to wait an extra 30 minutes (total of one hour wait since we sat down) for our cookie skillet. Cancelled our order anyway cos we saw waiters and cooks touch the garbage bin, pens, menus and not wash their hands before handling (uncooked) food. Some of the "cooks" in the takeout section used their gloved hands to touch everything from trash to fresh fruit. Yum 128530

Doing a last backlog review before they officially close down (or are they closed already? Or are those just rumors?)

Anyhoo, I had lunch here and it was my first time to eat their entrees and I absolutely enjoyed them. 128525 Of course their desserts are amazing too! Definitely happy I got to dine here. On the pricey side but I expected that what with the ambiance and food presentation. It was worth it. 128514
