Lava Stone Japanese Wagyu Sirloin Steak:

Look at how the meat is wonderfully marbled with fat... Now THAT is just deliciously perfect! Cooked Wagyu sirloin steak with foamy soy sauce or special steak sauce and himalayan salt.

I hardly eat steak cooked “medium well” or rarer than that. The sight of blood oozing out of the meat easily grosses me out! The very moment I taste blood, not even the most expensive meat in the world, will be spared from the trash bin! But when I tasted Magosaburo’s Wagyu beef cooked medium well, I absolutely loved it! Quite unusual for me. It truly melts in your mouth and is probably one of the best steak I have ever tasted!

We actually didn't get to eat there anymore. Here's why:

We asked the server about the VISA promo, and she came back with different answers every time. So we had to show her the promo ad before the manager came to explain.

When we tried asking about their Wagyu Lava Set Meal, she told us they don't serve the local Wagyu because it's not that good and they only serve the Japanese Wagyu.

It left a bad impression on us.. Might not come back :(

This restaurant was recommended to my dad by his authentic Japanese client. Decided to try it on Halloween night, which was cool bec the staff was dressed up in costumes. 128123

Loved everything we ordered here.

Seared tuna - served with what looked like jam and crunchy seaweed
Sashimi salad - very fresh tuna, salmon, and scallops with caviar. Leaves with tomato dressing
Clam soup - clear soup, 'halaan' style
SPECIAL PRIME PALETTE 128079128079128079128079 - pork kurobuta, chuck roll, tenderloin, wagyu sirloin all cooked on a stone grill. So good, so tasty, so tender. No need for any condiment
Beef garlic rice - very, very good. Lots of garlic chips, and bits of well done steak.

Wagyu beef cooked on special stone plates which are made by masons who work on castles. Word?

Their menu definitely hypes up their meat..

"Only a few masons in Japan can repair walls of traditional castles. Our lava plates are made by these select masons. The lava stones are 3cm in thickness and delicately cook any meat using infrared technology to lock in flavor and taste of the food."

Magosaburo claims to take pride in having the finest grade Japan Wagyu beef serving only the best Wagyu cooked to perfection through their very own Ishi-Yaki (stone roast) method of cooking.

With such a claim, I was definitely curious to to see how their steaks taste.

I ordered the Lava Stone MAGO Ribeye Steak (120gm).

They cook it in front of you so be prepared to smell like you're wearing luxury grilled Wagyu cologne aftewards.

The steak was extremely tasty. The meat has a distinct flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

The serving size is quite small given the price but I guess that's expected for high-grade imported Wagyu. If you like beef, I'd recommend giving it a try.

Service was excellent.
