The place was empty, but my dad and I tried it anyway...and I'm glad we did! :) We ordered beef rogan josh paired with their very yummy naan bread and chicken biryani. I loved them all! 128077

I couldn't pronounce or even discern half of what I was eating but I enjoyed the meal. Got the combo meal which had a basket of papad dum, two large vegetable samosas, a bowl of chicken tikka masala, naan and another bowl of spicy stewed vegetable something. My drink was a strawberry lassi, which is a yogurt based drink.

Very filling.

Who likes indian food? 128587 or 128581

Most Filipinos don't like to try. But when you give it a chance, I'm sure you'll like it. They do use a lot of spices in their food so it is very flavorful. And even if a dish is vegetarian, still is delicious.

I used to have a lot of Indian colleagues before and when abroad we normally get Indian food. I got used to it and liked it.

When I was assigned in Malaysia, we used to eat every lunch at indian hawkers. It was cheap there.

When I was assigned in UK, indian food was expensive. We normally go to indian restaurants during team dinners. My team mates who were from different parts of Europe normally like indian food. Even in Marks and Spencer, they offer yummy packaged indian dishes.

But here in the South, I don't see a lot of indian restaurants. So when I saw there is one in SM Southmall Food Street, I was excited and wanted to go! I attempted twice but was not successful. 128542

My boy would freak out everytime we go inside. Inside, he cried. Outside, he was ok. 128563

Was it the life size paintings of kings? Was it the smell of the food? Or was he sleepy on those two occasions? Was there a ghost? 128561

Yesterday, I was able to go with my mom. No kids this time. 128131

We were given complementary papadum while waiting for our food. In other countries, they would give different types of chutney (sauce) for the papadums. Here, they just gave a sweet plum (?) sauce.

Then our order arrived:
➡Naan on the raan (P259) - lamb wrapped by naan served with some fries. I thought the name was cute so I ordered. 9786 It was just like shawarma. I told my mom "Sarap noh?" She gave a doubtful nod. Napilitan. 128522

➡Mixed vegetables jalfrezi (P175) and garlic naan (P129)
The curry sauce had just the right spiciness. (You can ask if you want it to be spicy or not, btw). Dip the naan to the curry using your hands. 128523

➡ Gulab jamun (P120)
My favorite indian dessert. Just imagine eating pastillas de leche plus yema combined, shaped in small balls, soaked in a light sugar syrup with rosewater, and some spices128523. Not sure if Jairus d will like this 128513.

Well, the food was really good. I wanted to try some more dish. But I need some backup! Most of the dishes are to share so I wasn't able to try what I wanted.

It was a bit pricey though. Our total bill was P885 for 2 persons.128532

Nevertheless, I think I will be going back. 128522

I hope you get to try some indian dishes as well. 128522
