The liquor is quite affordable. Consider me a fan of their Bacon-Infused Old-Fashioned's.

But tonight, the theme is "Orange You Glad I Came?", with Escape from Alcatraz - Contreau and whiskey - and Brew Kettle, which itself has some orange flavor to it.

Ordered the Moules Congolaise - Chilean mussels in a coconut cream sauce. They were fantastic. 128557

Main Street is one of the highest rating and at the same time affordable restaurants in Mckinley Hill, so of course, there was no reason for me not to give it a shot. The famous dish in the menu is the buttermilk fried chicken. However, I was disappointed because the dish lacked flavor. Good thing the dish came with gravy and herbed rice to help spice it up a bit. I also got to try their mac and cheese, which I believe was able to satisfy my taste buds. Overall my dining experience with Main Street was not too memorable, but I will definitely give it a second chance to redeem itself.

Visited this place with ze boyfriend and the bff! I liked it, it was cozy. Tried the pulled pork rice bwol and I liked it. Ze boyfriend had Shepherd's pie that he missed from back home.

It would've been better if some items on their menu were available.

Had their matcha ice cream for dessert. 128515

It was a hot summer afternoon around 2:00 PM 9728️ tired, hungry and longing to eat... Hmmm... What comes in my mind?! FRIED CHICKEN. Yes! I want a delicious Fried Chicken. 128019

One of the Blog Site said that this FRIED CHICKEN 127831 from Main Street was included in their list, as one of the Top 10 Fried Chicken in Manila (#4 in the list) for year 2016. 128020

And thanks to #loolooapp 's The Fearless Foodie's Field Guide to McKinley Hill. It was a big help. 128076🏼 The map was easy to understand and the article/blog will guide you thoroughly at Mckinley Hill. 128079🏻

While walking in Tuscany Estate, the waitress of Main Street approached and invited me to dined at their Canadian concept restaurant. Inside, I was seated near the aircon and in front of the kitchen and she handed me the menu to order. Before she asked for my order, she served me an ice-cold refreshing water, she knew that I need to have it first 'coz I'm sweating when I enter due to the summer heat. 128531128166

Although, Main Street is not as big as you think but they tend to maximize the space of the restaurant, to look spacious and elegant.

For Php 290.00 I tried the Buttermilk Fried Chicken 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5 served with Fries 11088110881108811088️ 4/5 and Garlic Butter Sauce 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5 plus an additional Herbed Rice for Php 60.00 11088110881108811088️ 4/5. A total bill of Php 350.00 for 3 pcs delicious Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Not bad at all. 128540

They served the fresh from the pan Buttermilk Fried Chicken on time and fast. Nice serving and plating presentation of their fried chicken. Looks crispy and crunchy. The garlic butter sauce taste good and it really compliments the taste of the buttermilk fried chicken. Yum! 128077🏼

The servers were great too... very accommodating. They know what the customer's need at the time you're dining at their restaurant. 128079🏻128079🏻128079🏻

Decent food, terrible service.

We came in on a Wednesday afternoon at an odd hour (3-ish) so needless to say, my husband and I were the only diners at the time. Our server was cordial but a few minutes after being seated, we instantly knew that the rest of the restaurant staff were on break since they were chatting quite loudly near the dining area and we could hear every word they said.

Seeing that it was a slow day, we tried to ignore the noise and proceeded with ordering the ribs, fried chicken and onion rings. I was told that they've already run out of onion rings (really? at 3pm on a Wednesday?) so I ended up getting the traditional poutine. My husband was then told that the ribs didn't come with any sides and that he had to order rice separately. He asked the server how much an order costs since it wasn't on the menu and he was told that they weren't sure and that it may be Php 50. My husband then proceeded to ask how come they didn't know and their response was that the price was in the POS and they wouldn't know how much it cost until the item was "punched". Because of that, my husband ended up ordering the pulled pork rice bowl instead. I had asked for my chicken to be served with fries instead of rice.

After waiting for what seemed to be an eternity, our food finally arrived and lo and behold, my chicken was served with rice instead of fries. When I called the server's attention, she casually blamed the kitchen staff for not being able to read properly. Seriously? I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to change my side dish.

The poutine was nothing special, the gravy and cheese curds were just alright but I did like the fact that the fries were the thick hand cut version. The buttermilk fried chicken was well seasoned but the sauce was sadly again nothing special. I like how it was well cooked, having the crisp skin on the outside and the meat remained juicy inside. My favorite of all was the pulled pork rice bowl. It was very flavorful and the meat was tender and moist. The portion size was good for sharing too.

Water refills were quite slow, considering we were the only ones eating there. The chatter didn't stop by the way the whole time we were there. It felt like we visited a friend's house while they were away and the helpers had the run of the house. It's quite unfortunate that the poor service ruined our dining experience despite the food being good. The kicker was when the bill arrived, we were charged an additional 10% for gratuity. What a joke.

Would need some serious consideration if we are to return.

This used to be a personal favorite of mine when I worked in the McKinley Hill area. Must-tries are their poutine (probably the best i've tasted in Manila so far) and their homemade ice cream!

The poutine comes in thick cut fries, slathered with gravy, bacon, cheese, and cheese curds like one big delicious mess. Each serving is like a bowl of organized chaos where the flavors come together oh so flawlessly.

Long overdue review!

Had something light to eat here before I dropped off Chichi T at Enderun. 128514

I really loved the tomato soup! The soup wasn't too tangy, and wasn't too sweet either. I actually told Chichi that this will be perfect with a grilled cheese sandwich! Sadly, I didn't notice that they have grilled cheese sandwich in their menu too. It was too late when I saw the guy from the next table lovingly devouring his sandwich. 128557

We also got an order of their traditional poutine. Well, I'm not really a fan of poutine so this was just okay for me.

Coming back this Friday to try more of their dishes!

This review is specifically for the Up In The Clouds ice cream (since I could not find them here at Looloo) butterbeer flavor. I was expecting it to be too sweet for my taste but I was wrong. For ice cream that is made of toffee and caramel, the sweetness is just the right amount to make you want for more! And I am definitely coming back for more and to try the other flavors!!! I can still remember how I was on cloud 9 when I had my first taste. Yuuum!

We had dinner here last night. Me & my bf are not big eaters so we can usually just share one food order. Based on the reviews, we ordered traditional poutine & buttermilk fried chicken.
The poutine was nice. The fries & cheese were good. I'm just not fan if the sauce.
After a couple of minutes, the chicken came. They were giving us 2 orders when we only ordered 1. Good thing they took away the other one. Weird for them to get an order wrong since (1) they repeated our order & (2) the place was not even packed. Anyway, the chicken was just ok. I find the dip too salty, like it came from an instant packet.
Will still come back & maybe try the grilled cheese since theirs is on the Spot.ph top10 list.

Main street is located in mckinley hill which can make it difficult to access for commuters. They serve some Canadian fare but my favourite dish is their British fish and chips.

Go for the most legit fish and chips - - closest thing you could get film UK version imo! How legit is it? They serve malt vinegar. If the restaurant didn't serve it with malt vinegar, then it's not going to be a complete experience. Remember that well. (the recipe might have slightly changed but it's still very good and close enough)

The up in the clouds ice cream is also a great bet - can't go wrong with any flavours (my favourite is butterbeer which is better than Bono's)! 128540

Their bestsellers are the buttermilk fried chicken, hoisin baby back ribs and their porkchop. The hoisin baby back ribs was really good! Meat was so tender and flavorly butnot over the top. The buttermilk fried chicken is crispy on the outside but the meat is very moist. The bacon poutine was also good. Equal portions of fries, bacon, mozarella cheese and gravy 128077🏻. Their home made ice cream was worth the hype. Tried the malt milk. And loved it! We were able to try also their wagyu cheeseburger. Ordered the patty medium, and it was good. Kuddos to the chef! Service is good. Will definitely eat here again 128512

I've been living in the area for almost a year now but only now was able to try out this place. I was excited about the food selection since it looked very appetizing. The smoked pulled pork fries with mozzarella (on photo) did not disappoint. The spicy ness was just right and the pork was very tender. We also ordered the baby back ribs for main course but it was too salty for my liking. I opted for the full rack since I was there with my husband, but then when it came is was all of FOUR (4) pieces . 128563128563128563 mashed potato was extra and so was P20 for the asparagus which was all of THREE (3) pcs and was burnt so much that it was not even edible. Iced tea was home made and was not my type since it had that tamarind flavor. All in all, I would say just go for the FRIES!

During our visit to Main Street, we ordered their Onion Rings as our appetizer. It was accompanied with garlic mayo. They have several condiments available in the restaurant, so you can choose to whip on your own dip if you're not into mayonnaise. I went for the classic mayo + ketchup dip for my onion rings, while my boyfriend chose to dip them into barbecue sauce. The onion rings were cooked right - they were crispy and weren't too oily.

For our mains, we ordered Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Pork Chop. The three pieces of Buttermilk Fried Chicken were served with fries and garlic cream sauce on the side. You could choose to pair the fried chicken with either herbed rice or fries. You also have the option to pair it with mashed potato, but they charge extra for that. The garlic cream sauce offered a taste that doesn't overpower the fried chicken, but accompanies it well. My boyfriend had the Pork Chop. It was served with barbecue sauce, grilled asparagus, and herbed rice. My boyfriend and I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. We thought that they were tasty and that we definitely got what we paid for.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the ice cream from Up in the Clouds that they serve in the restaurant. We'll be coming back for those scoops of Campfire S'mores and Butterbeer ice cream soon!
