Ambience: 2 - their private room didnt have enough exhaust so it was super hot.

Food: 3.4 - legit korean food but i liked the makchang in pedrogil better, meat in pedro gil had a nicer marbling

Service: 4.5 - waiters are very prompt and polite

Price: 4.3 - cheap enough/worth it if youre coming in groups

A bit too far but legit korean food. Servers were attentive. VIP rooms didn't have enough ventilation so we had to open the door during our visit. Will definitely come back to satisfy my korean cravings!

When my friend invited me for lunch last Sunday, I couldn't say no because I knew how stressed she was with all the cakes she had to do for Christmas. She chose a place near her kitchen because she had a client who was picking up a cake at 3PM.

Anyway, I haven't heard of Makchang before, so when I arrived at Hobbies of Asia and saw the restaurant, I had to text her this: "Is it the small restaurant that looks dirty?" HAHAHA!128556

Yep, the restaurant looked dirty and needed renovation! But as they say, never judge a book by its cover. 128517

It's not your typical Korean grill because they use charcoal which gives the meat a smokier flavor. Yum! They do require that you order at least 500 pesos worth of meat for them to open the grill and cook for you though. I don't know what my friend ordered, but we had beef and samgyupsal. Both were really good!9786

They have 5 free banchans: miso soup, kimchi, kamote, and another veggie na parang kimchi, and scallions and bean sprouts tossed in sesame oil and chili powder. That last one is the best banchan eveeeeeeeeeeer. And I don't think you could find it in other Korean restaurants.128527

We also had an order of steamed egg, and an order of noodles, but like most Korean restaurants, they only use instant noodles.

Our total bill was only 990. Not bad, noh? 9786

I would love to come back, but I really hope they renovate the place!

Service is quite slow and refills of side dishes can take a while, so minus 1 star. But talk about food, I have nothing else to say. I was not able to focus on my food though because they play kpop performances on TV and sometimes Korean movies so the time I was there I got so distracted by miracle in cell # 7 since I have not watched it yet in spite of the raves and posts about it online. But going back to the food, their Galbi is so tender and flovor-packed! Take that as a recommendation from me. 128077 side dishes are unlimited as well except for the egg 128532 which is disappointing. Will come back and give it another try. 4 stars!

Place is ok and have a big parking space. Their food is just so so. Few choices from their menu, pork galbi is much tastier for me. Eating those lettuce makes me full hehe, just wrap it with bean sprouts, different kind of sauce and meat. I still prefer going back to Korean Village.. ;)

One of the best KRestos I've ever been to! The beef slices we're very tender and were well marinated. They also offer the best bean sprouts salad, especially the sauce similar to a mango nectar reduction. Order the beef brisket, and wrap it up with spring onions and chives and it is magic. Price is manageable, best if you come in groups to share cost and order a wider variety of meat for the grill :)

Everything was just so-so.. Meats were not as tender as they should be. Menu was limited as well.

Went here for a late lunch with my relatives from abroad. Korean food is not as popular in the States as here so I thought of bringing them to a korean bbq grill restaurant nearby Sofitel where they're checked in.

We ordered all the pork viand and my personal favorite would have to be the Pork Galbi. It's super tender, super flavorful, and super yummy! Esp when wrapped with lettuce, grabe ang sarap. I miss my usual korean dishes though like the bibimbap, bulgogi and kimbap, and the spicy tofu soup bec they dont serve those here.

This place never fails to impress me! Came back here for the second time but this time with the whole team!

Their unli-Korean salad, kimchi, beansprout soup, sweet potato and lettuce still tastes good! Their 1 pot of free scrambled egg per table is still yummy! 128522For the main course, we just ordered their Pork Bulgogi( 20kg for 30 people 128561) This is their most value for money meat. Serving is great and there were only 3-5% of fats!! 9786 I think this time since we are so many, the waiters have a hard time attending to our orders and concerns.

Nonetheless Still a good restaurant to come back and to recommend to other people! 128513

This is not your typical Korean grilling Resto here in Manila as their exhaust is pullable!(one of my friend says it's an authentic one in korea) Every table has a complementary pot of scrambled egg! big serving! if you want to order more it costs 100php a pot :/ They serve unlimited kimchi, sweet potato, Korean style Miso soup( yummy!)& spicy Bean sprouts with sesame leaves and lettuce leaves
(want to eat but my head goes waterfalls. Felt embarrassed if that happens :/) Food price is mid-high(200-650php per meat order) the only meat I liked so far that's good for the price also is Pork Galbi( no fats just pure meat! YEAHHH!!!) Resto opens until like 3-4am in the morning.

Overall it's a nice Korean Resto to hangout because of the pullable exhaust and free Korean foods mentioned earlier! Just eat a lot of those freebie appetizers to compensate the kinda expensive plateS of meat, scrambled egg and/or rice you have ordered hehe
