Do we have a decent zoo in the metro? I dont think so. The last time I visited Manila Zoo, I felt sorry for the animals. The crocs don't even have a pond because the caretakers are too lazy to fill it with water. The elephant looked pale and the birds seemed like they're going through chemotherapy. Kalbo na.

After my pancit adventure, I decided to try visiting Malabon Zoo. They said it's just small but animals are well taken care of. True, the animals here looked healthier than the ones in manila zoo. i don't know if it's a brown or a grizzly bear but it was the highlight of my visit. I have never seen a huge bear.

I was in time for feeding. I saw crocs being fed with meat and pythons with chicken, alive.

Not that many animals but it's nice to see they're well taken care of.

Proof that you can have a pic with one of their oldest orangutans. Below is Justin Bibear. Seriously thats what they call him!

Had a pissed off tiger growl at us. Never show the tigers an open umbrella. Justin Bibear was the highlight. Have lots of tigers but the place needs to be cleaned up and restored. Alligators were humongous and you can get up close and personal with a friendly orangutang. Could be memorable dor a kid bit somewhat forgettable if an adult who wants to roam a spacious zoo.
