The Church of Malate was established in 1588. It was kind of disappointing that the façade of the church was recently renovated losing its historic feel. :( Nevertheless, it is worth a visit especially if you get tired of the fast-paced Manila.

When we visited the church, it was Albert and Jane’s wedding. (I don’t know them. Hahaha). I heard the usual passage during weddings: Love is kind, love is not selfish […]. One reason I thought why people choose this church to start another life-changing event is what’s inside the church. You would really feel calm as you enter the church because of the beauty of the church inside—it’s like one of those beautiful churches you can only see in the province. Many people also go there even on weekdays to venerate Our Lady of Remedies. Outside are also kalesas you can ride if you want to go around the area. In front of the church was Rajah Sulayman park where you can hang out. Various restaurants also surround the church. The church also has a parking space, so no need to worry. I really did not expect to find this kind of gem at the center of Manila.
