This place is the morph of all Filipino restaurants and their Specialties, with a twist. Manam is a mixture of Via Mare, Gerry’s Grill, Abe and Sentro 1771 — more affordable and accommodating to different tummies. They serve a wide array of Filipino food choices and, surely you won’t be able to order everything in one visit, so I’d have to go back to try the things that looked exciting. At first glance, just from their menu, their food is already enticing. It was really good to feel as if you were able to try everything because of the portion size they have in store. Small, Medium and Large.

I highly expected a lot from the Beef Short Rib and Watermelon Sinigang and they pulled through. The Only meat that’s really good to pair up with the taste of the Sinigang is the Short Rib. They’ve perfectly chosen it. The sweetness of the soup is enveloped inside its sourness where the watermelon mimics the form of the tomato.

My aunt told me their House Crispy Sisig was the best she has ever tried and when I tried it, it was true to its name. It didn’t feel satiating at all because it was too crunchy to realize it was fat, or pork skin.

The Laksa Style Halaan with Crispy Sili Leaves and Mais is not short of clams. Though my mom noticed that some of hers were closed and was afraid to eat it. It may be that corn was canned but the soup was more on the coconut side and based the taste to Thai flavors as it feels it had tamarind for the soup.

The Inihaw na pusit was soft and just the right grill. I think it would have had the authentic flavor if Calamansi was used to “citrify” the seafood. But overall since we ordered small, maybe we were just left hanging. (Bitin) Price would have been Php 185 instead of Php 245, because it just felt a little overpriced since they just served one small piece of squid. If it were repriced it could be Php295, Php425 and Php545 for 2 pieces, 3 pieces and 4 pieces respectively If they served it with the same size as ours.

Manam is numero uno on my list for Filipino Food. This is my default choice whenever i am out on a date with Aling Crising. You can never go wrong with their Adobo and the notoriously good Sinigang na Short Ribs sa Watermelon. Well, the brilliant homo sapiens of The Moment Group introduced Manam’s sister from another mother... Manam Cafe.

The Cafe is centered on pastries. One pastry in particular caught my attention - Calamansi Tart.

The tart is amazing! It is not overly sweet and has the right amount of citrus flavors. The filing is smooth and has a velvety texture - it goes well with the nutty crust. Eat this with a dollop of whipped cream and.....wham! An explosion of flavors in your mouth.

I swear i can eat five in one sitting. Uhmmm... maybe not five...safest bet is three.

This is a first of many visits.

1. Before you eat check first the utensil ( its not clean)
2. Check you glass of free water (something is floating) if this is infuse water i can understand but it was not
3. Check you table (mine was dirty, i can still se the ube on the side... and we were the first customer since we are early)
4. The food is not that greate (i should know because i love eating)
5. Hate thier service (who in the rigth mind will offer thier product / dicsount while you are road)
6. Supper road.... as you decline there offer WHILE YOU ARE EATING.... they will insist that you take the offer.... but at the momment they do not have the for reservation once it arrive.
7. They say the other branch is fine.... just hate this branch.
8. So be careful in this branch.

This for me is the best Filipino food I’ve had. Then again I don’t eat much Pinoy food. But yeah I couldn’t stop saying “this is so good” while we were eating
