Last Wednesday, 8 cuts had their anniversary promo wherein everything was P88! K and I were excited as we love their burgers (plus it’s cheap!) It was a huge letdown when we learned that their “kitchen is having a problem” and that branch is not accepting any more customers 128532 Greenbelt 2 is quite far from our office so we just decided to dine below 8 cuts since we didn't want to walk anymore. I heard Manam served great Filipino food so I wasn’t hesitant at all!

Place looked great! I liked how they used mirrors on some of their walls. It gives the illusion of a bigger place. Upon seated, we were served with water and handed with their menu. Their menu is very diverse! And it’s very interesting as they have two categories: CLASSICS and TWISTS. Also, everything has three sizes: small good for one, medium good for three and large good for six.

128046 BEEF SALPICAO & GARLIC (P180 - S • P335 - M • P595 - L)
I loved this one! 128149 Their beef is super tender and very well-seasoned. The sauce is amazing too. No doubt, this is the best beef salpicao I’ve tried to date.

128055 CRISPY PORK BINAGOONGAN (P205 – S • P360 –M • P645 - L)
Pork liempo laid out on a bed of bagoong. Yuuuum! 128069 Pork liempo slices were fried to perfection – skin is crispy but the inside is still very tender and juicy. Also, you can’t feel the oiliness even if it was fried. I wonder how they achieved that. Hmm. 🤔 The bagoong was quite unique too. I thought it would be very salty but the bagoong actually tasted quite sweet.

127834 GARLIC RICE (P65 – S P95 – M P180 – L)
I have nothing bad to say about their classic garlic rice! 128077🏻

We got the rice in M and everything else in S. I were very surprised that they were serious with their "good for one" serving which makes Manam quite expensive. But no doubt that they serve some of the best Filipino dishes. Overall, it was a great visit. Will come back next time in a bigger group since I think it’s better to order the bigger sizes for sharing.

Manam is one of my favorites, but today I was disappointed! I ordered my forever favorite baby squid in olive oil and garlic but all I can see is a few baby squid (1-2 maybe) and a lot of squid head! Tsk!

Manam is one of the places with really good Filipino food at an affordable price. My teammate decided to treat us lunch in Manam because Ginebra won the championship. Yup, I know. We went early because we knew it easily get full especially during lunch.

We got the all-time favorite ensaladang namnam for PhP205, the crispy sisig at PhP245, adobong kangkong for PhP190 and inihaw na pusit at PhP420. I love the ensaladang namnam which has the mangga't bagoong, pomelo and native tomatoes, and it was good to eat with any dish. The adobong kangkong was surprisingly delish considering we got it only for my pregnant teammate. And sisig, oh sisig, why so crispy? Plus you can't go wrong on their inihaw na pusit. I finished a lot of rice with these. Happy tummies!

We were supposed to leave early but the bibingkang salted egg for PhP85 caught my attention. I was hesitant to get it because we were out for more than an hour already, but the server said, it would definitely be worth the wait. With hugot na, okay din naman naghihintay minsan. Okay fine, we got one. I absolutely love it and definitely was worth the wait. I should come back for the bibingkang ube and bibingkang leche. #Halloolooween2016

Came here on the basis of the watermelon sinigang alone. Worth the visit, it was delightful and we enjoyed our meal. If you are dining as a pair I recommend ordering "good for one" portions of dishes so you get to try more. Their good for one can be stretched to two!

Had our early dinner at Manam. The place is rather small with the seats and tables close to each other. Surprisingly, the conversations from the other tables are kept to a minimum. Service is quick but must make huge hand gestures to get noticed. Everyone was nice except for one who had no rapport and did not engage with the clients. Ordered their Sinigang na Beef Shortribs and Watermelon, Manam Ensalada and Patis Wings. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the Sinigang. The watermelon gives the broth a red shiny sheen which is very inviting. The kangkong and string beans are fresh. The beef soft and soup had the right sweetness. It would be nice if it was bit more sour.

Senior discount honored. So much to try - the menu is extensive because they have classic and a unique version to a dish. Something new to try in every visit. Recommended.

I've been wanting to try Manam for a while now. I've heard countless times from people that the restaurant had gone through a name change.

All their dishes here have 3 sizes: Small (for one), Medium (for three) and Large (for six). I thought that this was a very good idea since there will be times that people dine in smaller groups, or even at times, eat alone.

Their menu is also separated to 2: CLASSICS & TWISTS. Interesting. 128541

CARAMELIZED PATIS WINGS [S - Php 165 ★ M - Php 295 ★ L - Php 525] • TWIST
• in the photo: large •
I liked this dish because the wings were fried to a crisp! The sauce was "caramelized patis" but I didn't really taste the patis. But despite that, I think the sauce went well with the wings.

SINIGANG NA BEEF SHORT RIB & WATERMELON [S - Php 245 ★ M - Php 445 ★ L - Php 775] • TWIST
• in the photo: large •
This one sinigang is one I've heard so much about. Some of my friends said this was good, though another mentioned that it was weird because of the watermelon. My opinion: it's unique. It has that sourness to it as well as sweetness from the fruit. The beef was really tender! 128077🏼 The soup was quite thick too. As for the watermelon, it was good and the texture was soft at the same time it wasn't fully mushy either.

HOUSE CRISPY SISIG [S - Php 135 ★ M - Php 245 ★ L - Php 395] • CLASSIC
• in the photo: large •
I liked the sisig. Lots of crunchy bits!! 128525 Would have been better with a fresh egg mixed into it! 128541 But that's just my preference hehe!

CRISPY PORK BINAGOONGAN [S - Php 205 ★ M - Php 360 ★ Php 645] • CLASSIC
• in the photo: medium •
Crispy pork + bagoong = 10084️ for me hahahaha!! I love both and even more together! 128541

Overall it was a great lunch! I would probably come back to try some more of their dishes. Looks really interesting.

First time to try this place and everything was really good. Sizzling sisig is 10084️. Sinigang in Watermelon is sour enough to my liking. Inihaw na Pusit is 1108811088110881108811088️. 128077🏻

I can never have enough of food from this place! They are just so good and no wonder why any branch you visit they are always packed! Specially at lunch time you will have to book a table way ahead of time.

I brought my first time couch surfer and new friend to this place and it is her first time in the Philippines too!
I have introduced her to balut. I had to introduce her to the sisig version of balut as its her first time. I also made her eat lumpiang dinuguan. Good thing I forgot to tell her what it was before she ate it 128556128521 she loved it even after telling her what it was made of.

Lumpiang dinuguan - deep friend spring rolls of pigs blood with meets and some organs in it...? It is so good with their vinegar too.

Lechon Batchoy- the famous soup from Ilo-ilo. This one is a must try! I can't explain how good it is.

Ensaladang Namnam- it is basically a yummier version of green mango salad.

Balut Sisig- this is also another dish that you must give it a try. An usual but worth a try.

I have been to this place so many times already and I just can never have enough of their food. So 5 stars is what they deserve. If there is 7 stars I would be more than happy to give them that!

Running out of choices in Gbelt last night, we finally decided to give Manam a try. It turned as an excellent choice in the end.

We had ensaladang manam, short ribs sinigang and crispy sisig. All of our choices were good! The ensaladang manam tasted like thai salad but it had a smokey flavor because of the tinapa flakes. The sinigang was very hearty. A perfect blend of sourness of the sinigang soup with the sweetness of watermelon. The sisig can be likened to eating chicharon. Sinful yet delightful.

We washed it down with kamias/tanglad as well as mango/pomelo/sago shake which were equally good.

Highly recommended.

I love it when restaurants and their companies are open to criticisms and respect reviewers' insights about their dining experiences. Those who do not take 'not so good' feedback negatively, and instead work on more to improve their next guests' satisfaction and overall experience, be it food quality, cleanliness, service, and more.
This Manam visit proved how the Moment Group values such feedback. The Greenbelt manager approached me and asked why I look very familiar. After some time thinking how and where she got to know me, we realized that she was the manager of Linguini Fini when I gave feedback on a disappointing service last year. I remember her being apologetic and inviting me to come over again. Sadly, I was not able to visit them again, and now she’s manager of Manam, same group of companies holding Linguini Fini, 8 cuts, etc.. Yes, the incident was last year.

Commending them for this! She also mentioned that their bosses really value feedback from food review apps, especially that one from looloo. Great job guys!

I was in Manam for two Saturdays in a row, first with a Balikbayan cousin because I want them to try this new Filipino twist, second with High School friends. In terms of service, the first visit was a bit disappointing. We were a big group (around 10) and it was a full house, so the servers were a bit disorganized with serving us water, utensils, and our food (some arrived late while some were not placed). The food during this visit was good as usual. I have nothing to say agains it.

On our second visit, the service was superb. Our server was super duper friendly, not sure maybe because they know that I review in looloo? but I have to commend them for that. The dude assigned to us was all smiles and very very friendly. He was able to answer all our questions and our glasses were not left not full. Nalasing kami sa water. Haha, kidding!

So, I am a regular Manam customer and I think they are one of the best affordable Filipino restaurants there is in Manila.

Must-try’s for me are the WATERMELON SINIGANG, HOUSE CRISPY SISIG (sinful but so good!), BAGOONG RICE (not too strong bagoong taste but noticeable).

Also good tries are their adobo - Braised then Fried Chicken and Pork Belly Adobo and the Overloaded Garlicky Adobo, Gising gising.

I have never been disappointed by their food so far. I like how you can choose among three sizes, depending on your group size (or your appetite). S, M, and L and those have corresponding serving sizes. Food is affordable and of good quality. Service, though, I think is still something they may work on more. The first visit was disorganized, while the second one, very good.

Thanks for treating us desserts, Princes Margaret Q.! Appreciated the turon! More power to you guys!128077🏻

Locavore now has a contender as my fave Fil-with-a-twist resto 128525 It's my 2nd time to dine, and it didn't disappoint!

My fave has got to be the Sinigang with Watermelon. I'm not much of a soup person but this is something else. 128557128557128557 It's sour and sweet at the same time, and the beef is super tender. The only complain I have for both times I ordered this is that the soup is served not very hot. But...you can actually ask for a refill! :) The refill was hot, so yey all is good!

We also ordered their Sisig (the one without the twist) and it's very crispy, comparable to Dencio's 128525 Di ko mapigilan papakin when we ran out of rice. Also ordered the Pinangat na Alupihan and it was okay, not really a fan but the bf wanted to try it out.

It's a good thing that their menu has an option of S, M and L servings. We ordered S for all the 3, solb na! If you're a bigger group, you can choose to order M or L. The rice serving is insane! A cup for 1 is 2 cups already! With yummy ulam, you'd be thankful.

Lastly, you should not miss out on their desserts. The Frozen brazo with mango ice cream is a bit expensive (at 300+/slice) but it's worth every penny!

The place gets packed on peak dining hours so I would suggest to go there earlier than usual if you dont want to wait. We went at around 6pm on a Saturday, and there are still a lot of empty tables. After dining, there is already a line outside. 128513

Late post.

Had our dinner here once again. And it's Father's day treat for my family. I gave them negative reviews. Now, it's back! Five stars for them! They are indeed my (one of the) fave resto! Yeah that POLICY i understand thou but i find it very stupid. L

Food 1108811088110881108811088
Sisig - Super crisp! Truest to be your signature
Gata sa Leche Flan - Nailed it!
Bellylicious with bagoong rice - oh heaven!
University Fried Rice - my family loved it too much!
Green Mango Shake - A great complement for a lil fatty food.

On this note, I'd like to thank the management of Manam, Princes 128525 for rectifying the problem and giving importance on my feedback.

Service 1108811088110881108811088
It's already given a warm and very accomodating staff and manager (kahit napakadaming tao). They treat their guest so special. Always! I so love Manam!
