Remember the last time I dined at Manam and experienced how bad the service was? Well, Moment Group and Manam approached me after reading my review here in looloo. Well, they asked me to go back and give them another shot. Adrian, the branch manager reserved us a table for a hassle free dining.

For my Mom’s birthday, I decided to dine at Manam again cause she loves Filipino food, and Manam is easily top of mind on it.

What we ordered are as follows:
- Kare Kare Oxtail
- Crunchy Sisig
- Pata Tim
- Original Pancit Malabon
- Sizzling Bangus

Kare Kare and Sisig is a staple order for me at Manam. Through everything, this is my all time favorite. Their Kare-Kare is smooth, and has this peanut chunks that I love most. The meat is tender, and the vegetables are half cooked. Crunchy Sisig is always loved! I do not know what they put in there, but it’s so good!! Crunchy and tasty. Nothing too spicy so it fits everyone. It’s my first time to try Pata Tim, and it’s a good one. No wonder it’s included in the all time favorite picks. It’s soft, tender and the sauce is sweet and thick. Really good!! Original Pancit Malabon is also savory. My Mom enjoyed it since she loves pancit. It has the complete ingredients of shrimps, chicharon and egg. The sizzling bangus is also tasty.

They surprised my Mom with a bibingka and sang her a happy birthday. The bibingka is really good! She enjoyed it. It’s moist, and gave a unique texture with ube and salted egg. A complementary leche flan was also served which is smooth and creamy.

Ube + sago is always a joy to have! I always have it split into two glasses. It’s smooth like ube ice cream with extra cream and sago. Plus the mango + pomelo is also interesting and refreshing.

The service this time is very swift. Very attentive staffs and I’d have to say Jennielyn is one great staff! Very cheerful and accommodating. I hope to see her again when I dine next time.

I’m surprised with another treat they offered, and that made me realize how serious they are in trying to win back their clients. You know how their food is good, right? They’ve always been consistent with that. And if they continue a fast, attentive service, their clients will have a more delightful dining experience.

Manam is easily my go-to Filipino place. For one because I love their Kare-Kare cause it has this peanut chunks on it, and with that thick peanut sauce, generous serving of meat that's tender and half cooked vegetables. Okay I basically described what we ordered. And we have their crispy sisig that's indeed crispy, and nothing too spicy. We also had their ube sago, which is love!! I like the idea of separating one serving to two glasses, so it's easier to be shared. And their turon for dessert served with vanilla ice cream is always a good choice.

Overall their food always delivers. But what I do not like about Manam probably just the Greenbelt branch is their service. Totally lacking!! It took them 20 minutes to serve our dessert and another 20 minutes for the bill and change. Apparently the dessert got mixed up with another order and a technical problem for the receipt. The staff doesn't even sound apologetic at all. I raised this concern already at Moment Group but no feedback thus far. I can always go back for good food, but bad service, I'd always think twice or thrice about it.

We go to the BGC branch of Manam once in awhile when we need to bring balikbayans out to dinner or have a craving for sisig. Manam's sisig is one of the best you can find. When my son found out what sisig was made of, he actually swore he wouldn't eat one again until we made him try Manam's.

This is my first and last visit to this branch. July 2016. It's just way too warm here. We tried dining here months before but we were told their AC was not working well so we didn't proceed. Ceiling is low and it just felt so crowded. What a stark difference from the BGC branch.

Food and service were great. 5 stars. But the heat and the noise was not a pleasant dining experience for us. Im hoping by this time they've gotten their air conditioning issues fixed. But we'll stick to the BGC branch for our Manam cravings.

Manam is one of the best places to get Filipino food! Well, in my opinion I guess. I really like how they have a lot of dishes to choose from and I especially like that you can order these dishes in either small, medium or large serving sizes. It’s perfect for whatever sized group you visit Manam with!

For this visit, my friend and I ordered a small serving of laing, crispy house sisig which is one of my ultimate favorite Manam dishes and sugar glazed corned beef belly silog which is a new offering of theirs, I think.

Their laing is surprisingly really good, I enjoyed it and my friend did as well. We usually order their gising gising which is super good but we wanted to try new vegetable dish during this visit. Manam’s house crispy sisig is one of my favorite sisig dishes in Manila! It tastes really good, it’s super crispy so you won’t even care which parts were used to make it HAHA and it isn’t too salty, it’s just right. It’s the best! Try it if you haven’t! The beef belly silog, which we’ve never seen in their menu before, was awesome as well buy for the price, the serving was way too small. It cost us around 360++ pesos for literally one slice of beef belly, a cup of rice and an egg. It tasted really good though but because of the price it isn’t really worth it. Manam’s dishes are priced very reasonably so that was actually a surprise.

Overall, we enjoyed this visit like we always do and we’ll definitely be back to have both our favorite and new dishes alike!

Thank God for holidays! 127882 I love holidays, because aside from the fact that we get an extra rest day, this is usually also the day when we go out to eat as a family. 128522

This past Monday, we decided to go to Makati to buy our groceries and have lunch together. My sister chose Manam, because I've never actually eaten there, and she kept on raving about the good food.

We arrived at Manam at around 12NN, and waited a bit before we were seated. I love how they present their menu, with Classics and Twists for each category. There is surely plenty of options for diffetent appetites and preferences. Here's what we got:

✔ BABY SQUID IN OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC (Php 160 - Small) - 1108811088110881108811088
I LOVED THIS! 128158 The baby squid tasted so fresh, and I loved how small (and cute) they were. It is an awesome appetizer, and the slight kick from the chilies + the flavorfulness from the garlic and olive oil made this dish a great prelude to the sumptuous dishes coming up. 128055

✔ HOMEMADE KESONG PUTI AND ALUGBATI (Php 215 - Small) - 110881108811088
The small size for this salad was reaaaally small. A bit overpriced, in my opinion. Also, now that I searched and read the menu again, it said it had kesong puti, mandarin oranges, malabar spinach, roasted cashew nuts, and adobo-citrus vinaigrette -- but there were no oranges nor cashew nuts to be seen in our salad plate! What a rip-off. 128543 The vinaigrette was good, though.

✔ SINIGANG NA BEEF SHORT RIB AND WATERMELON (Php 245 - Small) - 1108811088110881108811088
This sinigang dish is the 128163! I absolutely love sinigang, and I never thought incorporating watermelon in it would make it even yummier! The sweetness of the watermelon cut though the sourness of the soup, balancing the flavors and producing a unique sweet-sour soup that you won't get enough of. The vegetables are cooked properly, nothing too mushy. The beef short ribs were soooo tender! I love it! 128076 Tip: If you ran out of soup but still want some, just ask the server for a refill! 128521

✔ PRITONG HITO WITH PORK FLOSS (Php 295 - Small) - 11088110881108811088
Okay, so we were deciding between this and the Butterflied Plapla with Buro and Mustasa. But they ran out of plapla, so we had this instead. Again, when I was checking out the menu now for this review, I realized that we were served wirh fried fish and a ramekin of something I'm unfamiliar with. Was it the buro? Huhu I'm not sure. (You can check the photo). The pork floss was no where to be seen! Anyway, the fish still tasted good. It was fried to a crisp texture, but the meat inside was tender. Best dipped in their vinegar + the thing in the ramekin!

✔ PLAIN RICE (Php 95 - Medium)
This is good for 3 people already (3 not so heavy eaters), and is more sulit than getting a cup of rice each. 128076

✔ MANGO + POMELO + SAGO (Php 125) - 11088110881108811088
My mom and sister got this drink. They liked it, because the ingredients used were fresh, and there was minimal sugar / syrup in it, so the sweetness level was just right. They had one comment though: The mangoes weren't as sweet as they hoped. 128586 Probably because mangoes aren't in season right now. We'll probably try this drink again when mangoes are back in season already. 127865

I usually steer away from ube, but since the server mentioned that the Mango + Pomelo + Sago and this one are their teo bestsellers, I willingly gave this a try. It was good! The shake was creamy (as in it tasted like ube ice cream in drink form!), but was a bit too much to serve as a drink alongside the food. It's more of a dessert drink. 128513

In summary, everything we ate tasted good -- it was indeed comfort food at its finest. 128525 It was also much appreciated that they have size options for most of their dishes, so you may opt to get the small sizes -- to be able to try more dishes. 128521

The ambiance was also very apt for a Filipino restaurant. There are also long tables, so customers will not have a hard time finding a seat if they come in large groups. Service was great! The servers were always cheerful, and it's easy to get their attention whenever you need something. Plus points for their background music, which was constantly playong OPM songs. What a way to enjoy our spread of Filipino dishes! 128158

Without a doubt their House Crispy Sisig is the best sisig in town! 🌶️🍽️128293 So much crunchiness and mouth watering sisig ever! Perfect pair for their Ube Sago drink! 127846127865 We also ordered their Kare-Kare with Oxtail na super sarap din because I can really taste the peanut butter flavor. 128525128523 The price is sulit and the staffs are very accomodating and friendly. To think we went there lunch time on a Saturday, we just waited about 10-15 mins for a table and did advance order and didn't wait that long once seated. 1108811088110881108811088 For this!

Manam is one of the restaurants that does Filipino Cuisine right. They are known for creating wonderful twists on classic dishes. Case in point - Sinigang na Short Ribs sa Watermelon.

I wasn't in the mood for twists during my visit hence we opted for classics.

Chicken Pork Adobo. This is my all time favorite dish. I can eat adodo for a year. Manam's adobo is full of adobo goodness. The pork is fall of the bone tender and the chicken is cooked perfectly.

House Crispy Sisig. This is hands down the best sisig in the metro. I love the crispiness of the pork jowl and how they incorporated the onions in the dish. Yeah, there are onions hiding in plain sight. And yes, this is a plate reeking of sisig goodness.

No photo. I may have went a lil cray-cray when the sizzling plate is served.

Pancit Canton. Between Bihon and Canton, id always pick the latter in a heartbeat. I was surprised how Manam executed a classic dish. The noodles are firm and cooked perfectly. They added perfect proportions of meat and veggies. Want to know the best part? They used unconventional veggies in this dish. You see those bright orange strips? Nope, not a carrot. Sweet Potatoes baby!

Gata Leche Flan. Who wouldve thought that coconut milk would go well with leche flan. The distinct flavor of gata adds dimension to the flan and it makes it all sorts of wonderful.

Sapin-Sapin. I used to dread rice cakes when i was a kid but it is a different story now. I have a new found affinity with 'em. Manam's sapin-sapin is the shiz! The texture is perfect. It is sticky and has the right amount of consistency. And latik is not overly sweet and compliments the rice cake. This is wow on every bite.

Ube Sago. A tall glass of purple. I loved the miniature tapioca balls under and how soft and chewy it is. And oh, they get plus points for not adding too much sugar.

As what I've said earlier - Manam is knows how to do Filipino Cuisine right.

It’s my second trip and I manipulated our group order. We were 10 and I successfully created an entirely new batch of orders I haven’t tried. Well except their best selling Watermelon infused Beef Short Ribs Sinigang.

Their menu as I mentioned last time has two unique features. Three sizes for everything with classic and twist versions for all their Filipino dish offerings. That makes their menu extensive.

I could have up the ratings it their meals weren’t that pricey. Large orders of their banner dishes are more than a Php 1,000 with taxes. Their not so Crispy Pata for example was way expensive because it lacked meat. The ratio of bones and fatty skin was way more.

However, it’s also a 4.0 because most dishes impress and makes you say yummy over and over. My absolute favorite on this trip is their sweet version of Kare Kare. I loved it so much, I had the sauce spread over my rice all the time. No need for alamang on this one.

Going back to Watermelon Sinigang, their most enterprising twist offering, you must simply have this. The sour tamarind soup made better with sweet touch of watermelon. The ribs do their thing too with its beefy element on it.

I also suggest getting their Grilled Squid with Stuffing, Chicken Wings and Corned Beef Sisig. The latter has still a strong presence of what sisig is like but ‘healthier’ with corned beef. The eggs make it unforgettable.

We had two desserts. The Salted Caramel Sansrival is a skip with its overwhelming sugary taste. It was wildy sweet and can instantly give you diabetes. The Frozen Brazo however is special. It has a nice three layer structure of varied texture and heightened sweet tastes.

We had a lovely dinner last weekend at Manam. We ordered my mom's favorite Crispy Sisig and Pinakbet then later added an order of Molo soup and All day breakfast Tapa to go.

Their large serving was good enough for 5 of us. Their sisig was sinful as the chunks of meat are bigger than your usual serving. The Pinakbet was savory not just salty. Finally the Molo soup, it took time to get this order (probably almost done eating when this arrived) but it was refreshing when you take a sip of the hot soup. This Molo soup is not like what I usually cook since it's wrappers were fried and the soup was filled with tomatoes instead of a more garlic base.

What I liked most about this experience was the service. They treat you with a warm smile while waiting for your order (had several attempts to follow up our molo soup and our to go Tapa).

You would like to arrive before 6PM to get seats inside the A/C dining area and be there by 7PM if you want to eat Al Fresco. Anytime later and you'll end up waiting in a queue.

It was a weeknight when I found myself in Makati... After visiting someone, Jenn and I made our way to Greenbelt to have dinner with Kirbs and Dast... The very hungry Kirby suggested Manam and we were all to happy to go along with it. In my mind, I was already exclaiming--Sisig Time!128525

As excited as we were to sit down and eat, we were forced to wait for 30mins because they are very strict about the seating policy. You won't be seated unless the group is complete. Our tardy friends finally showed up (with alay for me and Jenn) and we were finally able to order... Again, I love how their viands come in different sizes, so that you can satisfy your food craving even if you are alone or with a big group. They also have a choice between classic and with a twist-- whether you want your favorite dish how your lola used to cook it or a modernized version of a classic...

We ordered the crunchy salt and pepper squid rings, the sinigang na baboy sa sampaloc, the gising-gising, and a large order of house crispy sisig... Of course, what is Pinoy comfort food without rice and lots of it? We enjoyed each dish but let's give special mention to the best sisig ever! Absolutely love their sisig, it's on top of my list! Plain crunchy sisig, no egg, lots of hot sauce and calamansi, hello! Extra rice please!128525 Love the asim of the sinigang! They really make good on delivering Filipino comfort food.

I'd give them a higher rating if not for the very strict seating policy (the restaurant wasn't even half-full that night) and if the food was served faster. No one even bothered to take pics (save for my bad one)!

Last Wednesday, 8 cuts had their anniversary promo wherein everything was P88! K and I were excited as we love their burgers (plus it’s cheap!) It was a huge letdown when we learned that their “kitchen is having a problem” and that branch is not accepting any more customers 128532 Greenbelt 2 is quite far from our office so we just decided to dine below 8 cuts since we didn't want to walk anymore. I heard Manam served great Filipino food so I wasn’t hesitant at all!
 
Place looked great! I liked how they used mirrors on some of their walls. It gives the illusion of a bigger place. Upon seated, we were served with water and handed with their menu. Their menu is very diverse! And it’s very interesting as they have two categories: CLASSICS and TWISTS. Also, everything has three sizes: small good for one, medium good for three and large good for six.

I loved this one! 128149 Their beef is super tender and very well-seasoned. The sauce is amazing too. No doubt, this is the best beef salpicao I’ve tried to date.

Pork liempo laid out on a bed of bagoong. Yuuuum! 128069 Pork liempo slices were fried to perfection – skin is crispy but the inside is still very tender and juicy. Also, you can’t feel the oiliness even if it was fried. I wonder how they achieved that. Hmm. 🤔 The bagoong was quite unique too. I thought it would be very salty but the bagoong actually tasted quite sweet.

We got the rice in M and everything else in S. I were very surprised that they were serious with their "good for one" serving which makes Manam quite expensive. But no doubt that they serve some of the best Filipino dishes. Overall, it was a great visit. Will come back next time in a bigger group since I think it’s better to order the bigger sizes for sharing.

Manam is one of my favorites, but today I was disappointed! I ordered my forever favorite baby squid in olive oil and garlic but all I can see is a few baby squid (1-2 maybe) and a lot of squid head! Tsk!

Manam is one of the places with really good Filipino food at an affordable price. My teammate decided to treat us lunch in Manam because Ginebra won the championship. Yup, I know. We went early because we knew it easily get full especially during lunch.

We got the all-time favorite ensaladang namnam for PhP205, the crispy sisig at PhP245, adobong kangkong for PhP190 and inihaw na pusit at PhP420. I love the ensaladang namnam which has the mangga't bagoong, pomelo and native tomatoes, and it was good to eat with any dish. The adobong kangkong was surprisingly delish considering we got it only for my pregnant teammate. And sisig, oh sisig, why so crispy? Plus you can't go wrong on their inihaw na pusit. I finished a lot of rice with these. Happy tummies!

We were supposed to leave early but the bibingkang salted egg for PhP85 caught my attention. I was hesitant to get it because we were out for more than an hour already, but the server said, it would definitely be worth the wait. With hugot na, okay din naman naghihintay minsan. Okay fine, we got one. I absolutely love it and definitely was worth the wait. I should come back for the bibingkang ube and bibingkang leche. #Halloolooween2016

My fav is kare kare and they have the best ever kare kare ever.... i love their sisig and adobong kangkong... we were not able to take pic because we can't resist eating....

Their crews are so nice, accommodating and so friendly....

Came here on the basis of the watermelon sinigang alone. Worth the visit, it was delightful and we enjoyed our meal. If you are dining as a pair I recommend ordering "good for one" portions of dishes so you get to try more. Their good for one can be stretched to two!

Had our early dinner at Manam. The place is rather small with the seats and tables close to each other. Surprisingly, the conversations from the other tables are kept to a minimum. Service is quick but must make huge hand gestures to get noticed. Everyone was nice except for one who had no rapport and did not engage with the clients. Ordered their Sinigang na Beef Shortribs and Watermelon, Manam Ensalada and Patis Wings. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the Sinigang. The watermelon gives the broth a red shiny sheen which is very inviting. The kangkong and string beans are fresh. The beef soft and soup had the right sweetness. It would be nice if it was bit more sour.

Senior discount honored. So much to try - the menu is extensive because they have classic and a unique version to a dish. Something new to try in every visit. Recommended.
