The place is always full so you better place a reservation ahead of time. Their food is very good and their servers were very attentive.

My sister treat us here for her advance birthday celebration. The place was packed and every Chinese Filipino seems to be celebrating their birthday here since there were a lot of people wearing red shirt. 128522 Luckily my sister was able to get a private room because it was too noisy outside.
Foodwise this is a great chinese resto. The assorted coldcuts, salt and pepper calamari, tender beef and fishtofu soup are some of the dishes that I loved. Their complimentary dessert was also quite unique. We are used to having mango sago for finale but this time it was a avocado sago! It tasted good and if you a fan of avocado shake go and grab this one.
Service was not that good but also not that bad.128522

Celebrating birthday of a close friend here. As i can see that what is pretty obvious compared to other "pan to" (round table order with the matching lazy susan glass) restaurants is that madarin sky table has a lot bigger radius. The radius too big you would be diving for the food located near the center!!
I would not be dealing much about the basic orders like (birthday canton, yang chow rice, assorted cold cuts)
Insider about the assorted cold cuts.. I just recently discovered on one of the pork portion that looks like it has bones.. the bones are actually meat as well...128517
128204corn soup. You should try this. Really good. Whole corn with eggs. I enjoyed it even if it was quite hot (i usually enjoy warm soup 128517)
128204polon chai with eggs. Now, chinese for vegetable is(mandarin) cai (tsai) and means ulam (tsai as well) in fookien. Maybe vegetable will be applicable here. The vegetable in this dish would normally taste like leaf (because it is) with a slight sticky-bitter after taste. Eggs are infused together with kindof broiled onion cloves. Interesting for vegans
128204Spare ribs. Their spare ribs here doesent have much bones. Normally it tastes salty with crunchy- oily texture. That's why a good vinegar is good to go with it.
128204Suahe (he is shrimp in fookien) medium sized... Cooked perfectly the shell does not atock with the meat.. Easy to eat with dining utensils!!
128204Fish and tofu hot pot
Was that dory served?
We bought xocolat's red cake (red velvet cake) for the celebrant. And hopefully will so a review on all xocolat's cake upon tasting all the other variants
If you are celebrating your birthday here
.. And they knew you were... They're gonna sing you a happy birthday! So heads up if you are that introvert who despises attention from the whole diners.
Service here is gre;... However... READ THIS 128527
When we asked them to pack all the left overs, usually the servers will dish put then pack it at their kitchen, pero not here. Servers will get plastics, go to the table, put one hand inside the plastic, the other grabbing a spoon, then starts to spoon... Even grab (using the hand with the plastic) the food! 128517128561 mejo pangit lang the way they do it. Pero at least, you know it's the same food they're packing for you.

Food here is very tasty. Its good for celebrations
Your guests will enjoy the flavors and the food presentation as well.

The misua was a bit oily for me compared to other chinese restos

Sweet and sour pork is good
We also love the stuffed chicken with rice ala paella/big matchang

The patatim was good but a bit hard to chew and seallow but i guess all meat is that way?

Budget 4000-10000 per table for group meals

Met up with friends. Suggested this place since we were in the Banawe area. As always, everything's good.

Celebrated Chinese New Year here with my food trip buddy Emil and his family.
Mandarin Sky serves Macao Machang which uses lotus leaf and gives that distinct aroma.
We also ordered taro balls, wintermelon soup, chicken in oyster sauce and seafood hotpot with scallops.

This was my lunch today. 3 pcs of Polo Pao for only P100 (and black and white gulaman from Eat Fresh). Love the sweet crust and sweet asado filling. :)

Late post: one of our go to restos when we are in banawe. This resto clised for a time due to issues with the bir. Now its open again and d food is still as good!

Recommend u try d beef sirloin chinese style, placed on a sizzling plate. And their fried chicken! Fried like a pigeon!

Treated my fellow mancom members here last week (birthday). There were three other celebrants so we just split the bill :)
The deep fried oysters with X.O. sauce was delicious!
Fried chicken and salt and peoper pork were good!
My office mates liked the Polo pao very much too!

Polo pao ftw! They bake this twice a day during lunch and dinner.
They only baked a few for dinner and apparently someone beat me by reserving 5 orders (3 pcs per order for P100) so i was only able to buy one order.
I was told that this is one of their signature dish and served only here unlike siopao or cuapao.

So aside from Siopao, Cuapao, Taipao, there's also Polo pao. Man it was good, better than siopao IMO. Maybe because the hopia-like crust was sweet, same with the asado filling.
Had lunch here last week and their wanton noodle soup and pork siomai were very good, best with chili, kalamansi and soy sauce!
Will try their oyster in XO sauce on my next visit!

Late pose. Double birthday celebration!
We reserved three tables.. Our lazy susan was quite small, hard to reach the food. Ayaw ata magpakain.

We ordered yangchow rice, beef brisket, fish and chicken casserole, birthday noodles, asparagus and mushroon, oyster in XO sauce, sweet sour pork, black gulaman and almond.

So generally, it was ok.
The oyster with XO is remarkably tasty.
The sweet sour has a lot of green bell pepper
The rice is quite salty,,

Typical of a filipino- chinese food. When you finish eating, you feel like drinking a lot of water.. You know why? Vetsin.

But since it's quite affordable, and service was really fast, 4 stars. We reached around 11k for 3 tables.. We ddnt order the set.

Dined here twice within 3 weeks with my aunt's relatives. We had the usual shabu-shabu and some dimsum. I particularly like their hakaw, though I must say it wasn't consistent. It was great during the first visit, but it easily fell apart during the second visit.

As for the shabu-shabu, I liked the quality of their U.S. Fat beef. Obviously fresh and it tasted great! The waiters who served us were also very attentive to our needs. Price-wise, I have no idea since the oldies did the ordering for the two visits. I wasn't able to take a pic of any of our orders because I got shy (I'm not close to them) 128517

Definitely one of my Chinese favorites. A bit pricey though but every once in a while I'm more than glad to splurge on some dim sum .128114
