Getting a massage is always a must for me after a vacation 128522 no matter how lovely the place was, all the walking and uncomfortable bed takes a toll on your body for sure.
Booked a foot reflex session last Wednesday. I arrived about ten minutes earlier cos I know they will only prepare the room when you arrive and I also wanted to enjoy their service tea 128522
Side note, there were two Singaporean guys who were there and they looked like they just came from a run. Policy is to pay before service and when they were asked to pay, they said they left their wallets at the hotel (acacia). 128563 the receptionist still allowed them to have their massage and just asked for their room number. While their room was being prepared, one guy asked pa 'what are we waiting for'?? Grr d Ka Na nga nagbayad so imposing pa!
Moving on, I was led to my room and I cleared my mind of those annoying men.
The massage always starts with a neck and back massage while your feet are submerged in a bucket of hot water. The masseuse really worked on my lamigs until they were sorted out. She will then ask if it's ok to put menthol cream on the nape (my fave).
Then, you move to the bed where she puts a small
Hot pillow under your nape while she works on your feet. This part never fails to make me sleep!
70 minutes of pure relaxation IMO.
They also accept credit cards 128077🏼

Needed a place to recharge and relieve the soreness in my legs, feet, and back from yesterday's basketball game. And also so that today's holiday wouldn't go to waste haha 128539

I had the Fusion1 treatment which was a combination of their signature foot reflexology and a full body Swedish massage. It was fantastic! 128076128076128076 The therapist was great and the technique spot on. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for in ambience, service, and the massage. I felt better after that hour and a half of kneading and stretching. Plus points to the therapist for offering a glass of water and tissue mid massage, after noticing me cough for a while.

Availed the Fusion1 while hubby availed the shiatsu.

First, they offered us a tea. Not walnut tea :(

The 1.5 hour is so bitin! My session started with a warm foot soak started with a back and head massage. I began to felt sleepy at once. I feel so relaxed! i can even sleep while sitting. Hehe. After that, I was asked to lay down and it was foot massage time. Wow! I love it. So I fell asleep already. Though I felt really bitin. I prefer longer massage sessions on my feet&legs rather than my back. Next is the body massage. The long strokes and pressure was just right and very relaxing. Last is the stretching. Both hubby and I liked it, we lost track of the time and snoozed off. I think the masseuse tried to peek into our door 3 times already to check us out. Lol.

(How many times did I say relaxing/relax on this post? Lol)

I think having a massage helped me regain my strength and energy again because I've been feeling sick and weak lately, probably due to lack of rest.

My masseuse was MM, btw. I think you can request her to give you the massage.

Btw, it was a bit hard to find their correct contact number. We wanted to give them a call to reserve our desired time, but most of the numbers posted online were already unavailable. We have to call Bellevue to ask for their number.

I used to frequent The Spa each time I'd visit the Philippines, and I'd rave about the great service and price (compared to abroad). So I figured, since I'm now back home for good, I should try out other spas and see how they compare to my ol' faithful. I heard great things about Mandarine (except that they were always booked), so off I went!

Luckily they had availability for that evening. I decided on a 2+ hour foot reflexology and Swedish massage. The price point is good at just a little over P1k and its conveniently located at Westgate so parking was easy.

Reception was just "ok"--the usual greetings, no biggie. They gave ginger tea that was also just "ok". The place is nice and clean, very zen I suppose.

Upon being brought to my room, the masseuse tells me she needs to give me another set of clothes (I was a little confused at this point as I'm used to being in my birthday suit-- but whatevs, go with the flow). Then she says "you need a bigger size". Mind you, while I'm taller than most Filipinas, I'm just the average American build. The masseuse hands me shorts and a shirt (kind of like a short robe) more appropriate for a 350 pound man. I didn't really care, made me giggle.

The massage started with the foot reflexology while I was sitting down. I would have preferred to lay down though. Afterwards, the Swedish massage started and I was able to lay down. She was very good and in no time I was pretty much drooling! She was constantly checking if the pressure was ok and she was very consistent throughout. My only complain't would be that I would have like for her to get at the knots on my back without me having to ask.

Though it was a great massage, I just can't part from my fav place, The Spa. I prefer their facilities and that I can be completely naked -- free as a bird! I'm sure I'll visit the Mandarine again because of the good quality massage/good service for the price. I'll reserve The Spa for special occasions or days when I can splurge a little!

Even before going on holiday, I knew that I would need a foot reflexology session cos of all of the walking I was going to do. Was finally able to do it a few days after I arrived. Was having trouble sleeping too so the timing was perfect.
After our carbo loading meal at designer blooms, we headed over to Mandarine for my 830 appointment. As usual, they were polite and attentive. I had a cup of tea before starting.
This time, I got a room on the ground floor right in front of the washroom.
I really love the setup here in westgate, you really feel isolated from the other clients as you never see each other (unlike in bellevue).
My therapist worked wonders on my tired feet and pretty soon I was snoring! Always happens hahhaa!
Felt so refreshed but relaxed after our session. Will try the fusion massage next time.

Decided to get a massage last Sunday night. After a heavy lunch at cafe d asie, we just went home to rest and take a nap. I booked a foot reflexology session for 8PM.
I've been to the Bellevue branch a few times but it was my first time at westgate. Happy to say that the prices are about 30% cheaper! The foot reflex was php560 (800+ in Bellevue).
The place was much bigger as well.
Needless to say, I loved my massage! As soon as the therapist started on my left food, I was 128564128564128564
Excited to book my next one!

Here's the truth: the massages I get here are consistently good as compared to The Spa. Beds are better, tea is...well I actually like The Spa's ginger tea more than the tea they serve, however it's also really good. But more importantly, the therapists are trained very well.

So just imagine if you happen to get that perfect pair of hands that seem to melt your stress knots away by exerting the right pressure on the sakto spots? And if you're like me who prefers the kneading sticks almost buried half way through my foot then this is the place for you!

So why only four stars? Reception people were not so nice. Oh wait, had a similar experience with the reception people at The Spa as well so I'm guessing that's the trend? Like how Abercombie & Fitch staffs were instructed to ignore plus act cool and nonchalant around their customers? Hmmm.
