Lunch at Mang Inasal earlier today was made even yummier when I tried their new offering for appetizer - Lumpia. A piece is for 20php. It was cooked well and it's really yummy but it's a bit small given its price. For dessert, I tried their small Crema de Leche for 55php and it was yummy too, not too sweet, milky enough to make it really addicting, plus the banana, buco and leche flan toppings that made it more filling.

It was one crazy, hot last Sunday when the heat took over our strength to eat, despite our growling tummies. It was definitely one of those days were you'd rather sleep than eat your way to living. Not until almost late afternoon came, when the sun was a bit saying goodbye already and when we our tummies can't take the growling no more.

We walked for almost fifteen minutes to reach the glorious Mang Inasal, the hunger strike cheat fast food, out expected savior yesterday. It was stationed on the main road, not easily spotted because it was a bit small though.

When we entered, it was 70% filled with customers. The restaurant was actually divided in two areas: the non-air-conditioned, smoking spot and the air-conditioned, heavenly part. Of course, we got to stay there and there were a few seats left available.

Time to order now. As always, I got the PM 1.5 meal which includes Spicy Paa with a serving of rice at 99 pesos. I added a regular serving of Halo-Halo at 53 pesos. Definitely, these staples shall satisfy all my physiological issues at that moment. Haha!

The orders arrived in a matter of ten minutes. It always makes me happy when the chicken part that I get looks bug enough for my tummy. Who wouldn't be, right? We asked for their free soup, for extra condiments and it's always good to see and feel that the servers are very eager to serve you, when they seem to really love what they're doing. This branch got some of those warm and very assisting staff.

Time to savor the meal now! The meal's serving of rice was a bit small so for the rice lovers there, make sure to get the unlimited rice add on in the meal which costs 11 pesos higher than the regular meal. I drizzled some chicken oil on top of my rice and dug in. The oil tasted less saltier this time, probably matching with the saltiness of the Inasal chicken. To make the flavors even more balanced, put some spicy toyomansi and there goes the perfect Mang Inasal experience! The serving of the soup on the side was also good as you can condition your tummy first before eating heavy.

I shared my Halo-Halo with Abbey and the regular one can actually be shared by two people who already got full after a king's meal. The halo-halo had ube ice cream, buko meat, munggo, gelatin, ube, leche flan, nata de coco and pinipig. For its price, you really got more than what you paid for as it was really fulling and fulfilling. I just thought if they could make the ice cream come in a different flavor like chocolate or vanilla, would it taste even yummier?

The quite sad part in this branch is that the comfort room and hand washing areas weren't that clean. They need to give more of an effort to make the place even more clean and hygienic.

Overall, Mang Inasal also has its reasons to be able to save a day and with its reasonably priced meals, you definitely will get much more than what you paid for. Sulit as it is!

If you like eating grilled chicken with your bare hands, plus unlimited rice Mang Inasal would be a great delight! Their best dessert for me, turon split...
