The best ihaw-ihaw place for me. But the place can be really hot inside.

Our trips to mang Raul are few and far in between but always much anticipated! So after several months, we're finally able to go back.
We always plan to go as early as possible because of the cooking queue and this time we arrived just in time before 6. Gave our orders and proceeded to wait at the back aka The Happy Place. They have a separate menu here albeit I think it's a tad pricey (₱18 for rice, ₱25 for a small c2, ₱50 for beer) but since we wanted to sit here, we needed to order from here too. Got the mojos from the stall outside and sizzling hotdog from the happy place. I think it's a good idea to offer these 'appetizers' as there is always a wait when you eat here, I'm guessing minimum of 20mins so it's good to be munching on something while waiting. Luckily the mojos arrived quickly and they were pretty good! Spicy and crunchy and it went well with the funny pink sauce we followed up our rice and sizzling hotdog and it arrived a little later as well.
Finally our orders arrived and though not piping hot, still good! Barbecue was meaty and the TJ hotdog was grilled well and not burnt. Their isaw is really one of the cleanest street isaw I've tried but the spicy vinegar really brings everything together! They also have a yummy sweet sauce that I also use and some people even pour it on rice ala KFC gravy
So yes, this is really one of the best bbq/isaw places in the south imo, worth the queue!

One of the best places to go in the South areas. Mang Raul's offers the traditional grilled finger foods like hotdogs, isaw, and their infamous barbeque. All that chewy good stuff are in that barbeque. It's worth the try.

Another long awaited trip to Mang Raul's! I think I mentioned in my previous review that they've expanded and they have indeed! The back part is now like a (mini) food park with benches and lights and you can order a lot of other stuff like sisig, chicken, siomai etc. alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are also available. I think it's aptly called The Happy Place
We over ordered I think I panicked and got too much of everything but it's just the usual bbq, chicken isaw and hotdog. We also got rice of course and bottled water. I think the cooking time became faster because they added a couple of more grills.
I'm happy how this place has developed and changed and is now really a legit hangout can't wait to go back!

It's been YEARS since we've had mang Raul's delicious BBQ and isaw! Living so near him it is quite easy to go but the line is so crayy sometimes!
After doing some errands around pilar, decided to have early dinner there (if the line wasn't too long). Sakto naman when we arrived there were just a few occupied tables. We were #59 and they were serving #50.
They've kinda expanded by occupying the first stall/store where they put chairs and tables. Actually the whole compound has changed a lot, there were a couple of coffee shops and they even developed the back of the lot where you can eat al fresco like in a food park! Cool!
We got 4 BBQ, 4 hotdogs, 4 chicken isaw, 4 isaw baboy, 2 rice and 2 bottles of water all for 280! Yezzzz!
Took about 30 minutes for our order to arrive, matagal talaga. But it was worth it! Delicious BBQ and clean tasting isaw! Looking at the line I feel bad for those who are queuing plus have to wait for their orders.
So the trick is to arrive early guys, around 5-530 para safe 🏼

I wasn't impressed at first and thought that there was nothing extraordinary. Until I combined both sauces and dipped the meat in it. Bingo!

1st time to be on the other side of BF the BF las pinas side. APEC made everyone stay at home so we took the opportunity to visit Mang Rauls since there was less traffic. It was near SM southmall and you need to enter BF Las pinas. It was amazing that it is really hidden inside the village and the type of place that you need to take extra effort just to visit. Amazingly I was surprise the place was jampacked! Never thought it was this famous. Everyone is grabbing their order plate and stucking in all the bbq they can grab. Sadly when we arrived it was around 8pm and the isaw was already sold out! So we just grab pork bbq and a few of what left from the tenga and hotdog. Getting order waiting number 22 and the number being serve was just number 52. So while waiting for our sticks to be prepared we were begging ate if there is a cancelled order of isaw that she should give it to us hehehe. But sadly there was nobody willing to cancel their order.
When our bbq arrive we were excited with the famous bbq sauce and the spicy version. The bbq was good and very cheap at 17php. Dipped on the sauce it was perfect especially the spicy sauce. Not the ordinary bbq that has big chunk of fats.
If the north has the famous UP Mang Larry, Mang Raul is the definite counterpart for the south. The secret sauce made the magic. Was really so impressed how that sauce made a name that garnered hundred of foodies. Definitely need to visit again for the isaw!

If you love isaw, barbeque, grilled hotdogs or any ihaw-ihaw you must try here! It is located inside bf alamanza. Place is usually packed specially around 5pm onwards. Typical ihawan but you'll be surprised on how many customers they have! They will get your oders and call you by numbers once ready and give you two sauces sweet and chili vinegar. They have available table and chairs for dining customers and stores on the sides selling drinks and rice. The only problem was there's a lot of flies going around but still enjoyed my merienda

Have you tried Mang Raul's Isaw, Adidas and Tenga? If not, you have to get up and drive your way to South and give it a try. If you have Mang Larry up North, we have Mang Raul here in the South.
Their rule: " Sawsaw muna bago kagat, bawal ang kagat sawsaw" I think this is just a joke cause they actually provide own plates for the sauce for every order.
This place always has long lines so make sure to bring extra patience if you're going to visit this ihawan.

Hi Looloo! It's been a while since I had my last review. I really got lazy doing food reviews ever since I came back from Seoul last year. I also wish I could do some reviews of the food back there here.
Anyway, so for my comeback, I'll be reviewing Mang Raul's BBQ which is near my place. If your tummy is being adventurous on street foods and doesn't want to risk the cleanliness, it's the perfect bbq place. Mind the smoke but the food is really clean. But the thing is you really have to wait for your order to arrive since the queue is usually long. We have waited for like an hour!
So going to the food, the hotdog bbq is just amazing. You may say it might look like an ordinary TJ hotdog on a stick but once you dig into it, it is surprisingly good! The bbq is also the bomb! To be honest, their bbq marinade is just the best and upon writing this i am craving for their isaw (since i love isaw!)
For those who crave street food, this is the perfect place. Worth the drive to south, if you're from the north.

Their "isaw" or chicken intestine is to die for. A must visit bbq joint in Las Piñas.
