There was a weird smell inside the restaurant. Everything else like the service and food were ok except for the shrimp in the sinigang soup. It didn't look fresh.

Mangan has become an instant fave just within the year! 128523 And that is thanks to their Crispy Tadyang that is such a hit swear!!!

I've dined a few times in their Robinsons Galleria branch, where the experience has always been good. I was also able to dine in their MOA branch just a few weeks ago with my parents, but I wasn't so happy with their food that time. I'd say it was a bad day, because when we ate here lastnight it was a very pleasant experience!

We ordered our usual, Crispy Tadyang, 2 orders. It was very flavorful, very salty in a good away, and also just the right ratio of meat to fat. Indeed, the best Crispy Tadyang ever! It's just sometimes they overcook it. 128546

My parents have also grown fond of their Lagat Ampalaya. My mom says the Ampalaya taste isn't too strong, but that still didn't get me to try it. Hehe so I got Gatang Sitaw at Kalabasa also for vegetables. I loved the gata sauce but the sitaw was overcooked, some even having burnt parts.

Additionally, I ordered Crispy Tawilis, because I thought 2 orders of Cripsy Tadyang would be bitin for 4. When it arrived, I was full already so I only got to eat 2 pieces. It's nothing much, but not bad either. I find it more of a novelty to eat cause there's almost a dozen pieces of fish pierced through a barbecue stick, nice to look at, and also a part of me just ordered it cause of the familiarity from ordering it before.

For drinks, I wanted a fruit shake, but we ended up getting a pitcher of fresh Apple and Melon juice and it was divine! A very refreshing combo! I would make this at home.

Overall, two thumbs up for this place! 10084128522

Had a full packed saturday lunch at Mangan.
as the name represents, it's worth the 'kaen!'

We had Bulalo (which is soooo good, but quite a bit off because the broth gets cold easily. They didn't put it in a hot pot or pot warmer) and Bistig Bangus (i think they meant Bistek Bangus) Bangus with Tausi (bangus sauteed in tomato puree and black beans) and lastly, Sisig.

Okay, let's focus on Sisig. Haha! This dish is soooo good that we had order twice! it's the traditional sisig and is surprisingly creamy!

Price is so afforable, around 1600-1800 for 4 persons. And service is good. But be prepared to line up jn the waiting line since the place is a bit small and gets full housed easily.

Mangan adds up to the reason why Pampanga deserves to be the food capital. I will certainly be back for more! 128525128076128077

My barkada and I always look for a place to eat where we don't need to wait for a very long time because of many customers a particular restaurant has. I remembered walking around MOA and looking for a place that would fit our barkada's preference that time, and that is Filipino food! Hahaha!
Mangan on the other hand has all the characteristics my barkada are looking for that time which are Filipino food and few customer.
We ordered Inihaw fiesta that consist of chicken inasal, tortang talong, liempo, shrimp, tahong and inihaw na bangus. The dish I think is good for 3-4 persons. Knowing that Kapampangans are good at cooking were kinda expecting to taste that goodness at Mangan's. And Mangan did not let us down because the food was superb. The chicken Inasal tasted like Bacolod's chicken inasal. I remembered walking out of the restauraant with outsized tummy and smile in outr face. I love their brewed ice tea too! Hahaha! And it is unlimited by the way.
Good food and friendly staff. Two thumbs up! 128077128077 #12days

Had our dinner here. I ordered half chicken while my boyfriend ordered Pinakbet.

The Half Chicken is really small for 140 pesos? Can't remember the exact price while their whole chicken is 400 something?

The Pinakbet was good but that's all. 128514 nothing's special and their iced tea tasted like beer. 128514

First time to dine here coz boyfie was craving for Kare Kare.

The food we ordered were: Sisig ni Mely, Kare Kare and Salmon Belly sa Miso.

The Sisig ni Mely taste ok but if you'll ask me which to compare it to other sisig, this is no match for Gilligan's/Mulligans/Little Quiapo's version of Sisig. Maybe because I actually expect it will be crunchy, but this one is more on the soft thou what I like is, it doesnt have umay factor. There's lots of things to improve for the sisig.

Kare Kare on the other side taste good. Love the thick-ish texture of the sauce and the amount of "laman" (ox tail, towel, etc.) was equally served with the sauce. Most of the Kare Kare has "daya" or brtter explain as, "Sauce lang ang laman". The bagoong is superb. I think its an original recipe since its a bit sweet and unusual.

Salmon Belly sa Miso is also a good dish. The "asim kilig" factor is really there. The salmon also is soft and really delicious. Thou I'm not sure if its actually belly since what we mostly have when we bite are tinik and not the rich salmon belly.

Overall experience, it was a good one. Thou I think the ratio of price is a bit expensive but considerable as well. Interior and ambiance was well designed for sophistication and relaxation. Staffs are friendly but I think they could improve by being more cheerful and focus on costumers rather than snuggling close to each other.

Mangan means something like "eat" or "let's eat" in Ilokano. I love their dessert platter! i died eating their palabok, it was so good. 128557 For foodies looking for Filipino food, this is more than average. Even better than Dekada and Sentro I think.

Best puto bumbong I've ever tried! 128516

Had this for merienda and it's actually filling. They also have a merienda meal that includes puto bumbong, okoy and another merienda dish.

Regarding the place, it's kinda small compared to other branches like in Glorietta. But they do have tables outside for alfresco dining.

Can't go wrong with these popular dishes. Kare Kare (P360) and Bistig Bangus Belly (P220), plus their new Dayap-Kiwi-Cucumber juice drink (P150). A great dinner to cap off a great day 128516128077127860

I loved their Sinigang sa Bayabas! It's super good. T'was my first time to try it and I couldn't help myself but to sip more of its soup. Hahaha! They also have platters if you'll be eating in groups.

Generous servings, reasonable price, and good taste! Filipino cuisine will always be number 1 for us so this is a must try restaurant. Their desserts are made up of kakanins too. My fave! 128523

Nag-crave ako sa Filipino food. Namiss ko ang lutong bahay. Puro de lata, fastfood at instant noodles kase ako netong mga nakaraang araw. Nacute-an ako sa place. Maliit lang sya.

Yung food, sakto lang. Yung Pork Sisig masarap naman. Gusto ko yung konting anghang nya. Tas yung Inihaw na Bangus, disappointing. Payat yung isda at hindi malasa masyado. The best pa din sa Pixie's.

May free appetizer sila na Pik-Nik style na kamote. Ok na din habang naghihintay.

Mangan: Hindi mo sya babalik-balikan.

Underwhelming Filipino food. We got the salmon belly sa miso, binagoongan babi and bisteg bangus belly: all of which fails in comparison with other Filipino restaurants such as Kanin Club, Crisistomo, heck even Max's. Even Chowking has better halo-halo.

This resto has savory kapampangan dishes but whatever you do make sure to save room for the true star of mangan w/c is the BBQ chicken with java rice and the adobong baboy at manok128521

I've been here last night with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We were 4th in the waiting area but we got inside in less than 30 mins. Their service is very good and fast, plus the waiters and waitress are goodlooking. This Tinapa rice is sooooi delicious and I'm pretty sure that it will fit your taste buds. In fact, the food are not pricy and they have big servings in fairness to them.. All in all, this restaurant is Perfect when you get to SM Mall of Asia
