We went on a sales blitz in some offices in Mactan and we ended up here for lunch. They serve Cebuano favorites and it's a bar in the evening, complete with a band and all. 🏼
We were 12 in the team including our drivers and we brought our own drinks, but before we could open any of them, they told us they would charge us corkage fees. Being in the service industry, we understood why, so we just decided otherwise and had service water instead. They couldn't make us scram either because we were practically their only guests then, plus we ordered a lot of food!
I loved their Adobong Kangkong, very flavorful and nicely cooked. The vegetables were served crispy!
Their barbecue didn't disappoint either. Apparently, this is what made it popular in Cebu City. And I'm glad to learn from my colleagues that they have been consistent in the recipes as they branched out to Mactan. The sauce was divine and the meat pieces were nice and tender.
The Kinilaw was delicious too! I've been a big fan of ceviche and theirs was really good! The fish tasted clean and fresh which is essential in creating a really good kinilaw! 🏼
Their Lechon Kawali was a tiny portion that I wasn't able to take a photo already because it was finished in a minute. It tasted good though, it was seasoned perfectly and it wasn't all too greasy! 🏼
Their Calamares was delicious too! It was supposed to be an appetizer but the sauce gave it a bold flavor that it was nice enough to eat with steamed white rice! The squid wasn't gummy at all and fried just right whicb is commendable for this casual dining place!
I definitely recommend this place for the beginner's type foodie in Cebu. I'll come back for sure!
