Don't judge the book by its cover. This quote is totally true with this restaurant. No fancy food servers, expensive plates and not even a decent front signage. But this is one of my favourite authentic Korean Restuarant.

If you want to try an authentic and delicious korean food, try Manna Korean Garden! Been here twice and a must say that their food is really good.
Samgyupsal - fresh meat, tender and with quality.
Kimbap - this is the real kimbap and not those ordinary kimbap you usually found in malls.
tteokbokki - oh i love this! You can request if you want it super spicy or just normal.
They also have different side dishes you can try and they are soooo yummy and tasty!

Sometimes the last choice could be the surprisingly best choice.

Nestled deep in the streets of Makati is Manna Garden. When my friends Graciella E and Chris took me there, I was like HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU FIND DIZ JOINT.

Same way that I found my little hidden, unassuming Korean gems too - good recommendations from the true wanderer-explorers! Haha. I wish I could have that mig time on my hands.

We ordered galbi and pork belly. Delish as usual for a good Korean place. I guess that's how you know it's a solid restaurant, if they have quality meat. Yes... I've been to a couple Korean places that had bad meat. 128546

But what sets some Korean restos above others are the side dishes! That's how I judge. The little simple things done well. As well as the pajeon (onion/leek and seafood pancakes) which absolutely sucks if it's all egg or dough. In Manna, they served us kimchi, marble potatoes with a sweet sauce, fresh shrimp and cucumber, and others. But I loved the fish cakes!! They were sliced thinly, with carrots and chilis, with a dash of sweet sauce. I see on Food Network and TLC that they sell these in markets in Seoul and they're immediately picked up by people the moment vendors put them on the serving plate. Now I know why!

I've been looking for a good Korean restaurant in Manila that serves Soondubu Jiigae, which is a spicy tofu soup with egg and assorted vegetables and seafood. I'm soooo happy my boyfriend and I discovered that Manna Garden has it!

Not only did they serve really yummy Soondubu Jiigae, but the Bulgogi was really good too! What I liked most about the Bulgogi was that it was served on a bed of Japchae, so it was kinda like a 2-in-1 dish.

They also gave us 6 complimentary appetizers which included kimchi, spicy tofu, bean sprouts, kankong, and 2 seafood dishes that I think were both made out of squid.

Our total bill was only 700 pesos so for the quantity and quality of the food, it was definitely worth it!

Manna Garden is officially my new favorite Korean restaurant.

Most authentic in my opinion. I love love their samgyupsal. And their kimchi is so refreshing. Picked to perfect sourness and spiciness
