Well it seems that the looloozens have a selective taste for indian food hehehe :)

So on another chilly night we got to try Mantra Bistro for the second time.....we loved the previous Chicken Tikka that we had before but this time we shifted into trying out the Murj Malai Tikka, tandoori cooked chicken with a variation in its sauce which was this flavorful sourey spicy blend....for our Naan we climbed up a notch by getting the Charlie's Cheese Naan, also a good choice....and of course side by side with our Sweet Lassi which tastes like a creamy mango yogurt juice and then tried out the sweet Gulab Jamun to cap off our flavorful meal12852210084

Still, everything was good and again, 5 stars on my second time 128522128522128522128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻

Watch out looloozens, I've been reading stuff over the net that Bolanos Street in Legaspi will be the next big thing for us foodie addicts! Upon a visit in Makati last night I enjoyed a bit of drizzling rain while walking along Bolanos and it seems it's gonna be booming soon with more up and coming foodie hotspots......

There's Pappy, Allium, a wine shop and a one-month resto baby in the running called Mantra, taking its origins from the Tandoori cooking tradition, which is a culinary experience also evident in Persian, Armenian, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Uzbek, Aseri & Kurdish cuisine cooked in masonry ovens or earth ovens....

When we took a peek from outside, all tables were full..... Then came this tall Delhi Native who I believe is the famous Ranjit :) he was so kind enough to say that we could wait, and never hesitated to offer us the boss's table ( which he was sitting on ) at the al fresco area.... Expressing that we were willing to wait, the Big Boss was so accomodating enough to make his table ready for us 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻 Despite the nice interior happenings inside Mantra, Ateng and I opted to remain in our al fresco seating area since it was raining a bit and we enjoyed the chilly weather ( perfect match for the hearty Indian cuisine )

Since we were first timers Ranjit guided us through his menu and recommended to try the Chicken Tikka which by the way was sooo much, perfectly tender and how it was cooked could just savor the distinct yet flavorful smokey flavor 12852210084128077🏻 he also made his own concoction of an Indian style gravy to match the Chicken Tikka! I always love Indian curry sauces & spice blends.... and their version of gravy was so good! I even dipped my Butter Naan on it, which was served hot on a covered bread basket 12852210084128077🏻
For our drinks, we tried the refreshing Lassi which also had this sweety-sour yogurt-ey taste in a smooth blend with tiny sprinkles of nuts, .....truly delightful127864127881128077🏻10084

Big thanks and cheers to Ranjit for giving us a very hands on, Tandoori 101 dining experience! Food was super great and service is tops! Glad to have found this hidden exotic treasure in Legaspi! 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻128522128522128522✔️127864127926127881 128522128077🏻10084
