I'm running out of breakfast place around Makati that doesn't just offer sweets since not everyone is into cakes and pastries for breakfast so I have to compromise and checked looloo a good place and found Maple. First time to try this branch and a good place to inspire yourself to work harder since most of the cars going around are luxury cars dropping and picking up people either getting coffee from Starbucks or just buying from Rustan's. I was like. "O ikaw na mayaman, ikaw na naka Porsche, ikaw na tatlo yaya, ikaw na naka sports car" walang katapusan inggit.

Going back!

Tried their Prime tapa which is really huge and tasty. Had it medium well and it is really tender juicy. This can be shared for 2 and priced at 520. Their Eggs ben is also good but doesn't compliment much with croissant bread making it very light and bitin. Their blueberry and cream pancake tower is just amazing. Aside from being picture perfect, generous amount of blueberries and the fluffiness of each layer of pancake is on point, You don't even have to put syrup and it is already delicious as it is.

Servers are english speaking! Probably trained to do so because of the market they are serving. Even if I talked to them in Tagalog they still respond in English. Susyal! 128541

Had a good breakfast with a good view of San Antonio Church on the foreground.

I like beef tapa and I just tried this massive sized prime rib tapa that is good for two already, juicy and fork tender. This is on the sweet side though but it worked well.

Had lunch here after a wedding ceremony at santuario de san antonio church. Maple is located at the 2nd floor of san antonio plaza and walking distance from the church.

Teemee T and i ordered the ff:
*Eggs benedict - 2 pcs of eggs, some bacon, 2 puff pastry breads and some weird soury, vinegary sauced was mixed into it. I didn't quite like the soury, vinegary sauce but most of it was on the plate. I think the taste of the sunny side egg, sweet, semi crispy bacon and puff pastry bread overpowered it.

*solo truffle pasta - the smell and after taste of the truffle was not very strong, not so much sauce either. It was just like eating a regular mushroom carbonara pasta. But still delicious.

I wanted to order waffle but it wasn't available that time.

We got to San Antonio a little past 9 pm on a weekday. Usually, at this time, restaurants would be closing/are already closed because not a lot of people eat out late on a weekday. However, we were pleasantly surprised that Maple was still open.

The place is a bit small for big groups and I can imagine that it can get noisy if the place fills up. Thankfully, when we were there, there were only a couple of people and the place felt very inviting (then again, maybe because apart from Starbucks, it was the only open restaurant that we saw that time in the area). I ordered their famous Prime Rib Tapa and I was surprised at how good it turned out to be. Don't be deceived by the word tapa, because it will come out looking more like a steak than the breakfast tapa that we are used to. It was cooked perfectly for my taste-- in this case, medium-- not much blood but still very tender. Don't worry because they'll ask you how you want your "tapa" to be cooked (medium rare, medium, well done, etc). I understand that a "tapa" for a little over 500 pesos is a bit pricey, but I honestly think you should consider it to be closer to being a steak than a tapa. Also, the quality and the flavor of the meat makes up for the small premium that you have to pay. All in all, I enjoyed my experience in Maple, from the ambiance to the good "tapa" that they served me at that hour. I would definitely go back to try more of their dishes! #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway

I splurged tonight on a very delicious-sounding pasta. 500+ got me a truffle and prosciutto pasta that went very well with a crunchy piece of bread. It sure was expensive but it was nice to eat at a place with a Magnificent view of the San Antonio church at around 6 pm when the sun was setting.

Post-training meal

Food was good naman. Servings were reallllyyy bjg. But it was quite expensive for just simple dishes. Service was really slow.
I got the Stuffed French Toast (via they ran out of Eggs Benedict gdi) & it was good. Wasn't too sweet, but since it was so big it was kinda nakakaumay.
+ I wanted a solid rice dish but wala :--(
Not a chibog place :-( HAHAHAHLOL

I recommend sharin dishes & doing this family style!!

Lesson learned: don't go here unless ur with ur mother so that she can pay for everything. Looool jk

The place is solemn and their interior is classy. Nice ambiance if you're having a breakfast. Fish Tacos was rich in flavor and Truffle Omelette Souffle was so good and it was thick and full of stuff. Foods were hefty and has big servings. For a sweet endings, we had the Apple Pie streusel topping, it was so sweet but manageable, if you have a sweet tooth you'll appreciate the sweetness but it should be for sharing or else you'll fed up on its sweetness.

Nothing starts the day better than a hearty meal. We’ve been meaning to try out restaurants around Makati. Since it was a long weekend, we gave it a go. It was a nice Friday morning when we went here. We ordered the following – Savory Country Pancakes and Blueberry and Cream Cheese Pancake Tower.

Savory Country Pancakes - we were supposed to order the Eggs Benedict but it was not available at the time so they suggested this dish instead. As you would expect from the people who brought us Pancake House, the buttermilk pancakes were light and fluffy. The combination of Canadian ham, cheddar cheese and hollandaise sauce brought a delightful play of flavors. Topped with bacon and sunny-side up egg, this dish was very satiating. I can’t identify any weak points except for the bacon strips, some of which were crispy and the rest were not. Who am I kidding? Crispy or not, I still love bacon. :D

Blueberry and Cream Cheese Pancake Tower - this was just average for me and my girlfriend, Yna. The pancakes were light and fluffy as well. Although there was a generous amount of blueberries, there was hardly any cream cheese on them. We both prefer the savory pancakes over this.

Maple has a small interior but it speaks “high-end” all over it. It can seat around 27-30 people at time. We called first thing in the morning to make a reservation for 9 am and asked for a table beside the window. When we arrived at exactly 9 am, we were very disappointed because all the window tables were taken. It’s a good thing the food made up for that. Prices lie on the high side but make up for the generous portions as each of the dishes we ordered could serve two people. The staff was friendly and very professional.

All in all, Maple is a great breakfast place. Yna and I will definitely try other gourmet breakfast dishes, especially the Prime Rib Tapa.

Found myself another nice breakfast place! Had breakfast at Maple in San Antonio Plaza and found everything to my liking. Well, almost everything.

I had myself the Country Omelette and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the dish. The omelette had a healthy amount of mozzarella cheese drizzled over it. Aside from being served with a perfectly toasted and buttered piece of bread, it came with ample crunchy French fries which were perfectly cooked and salted/seasoned. I enjoyed my dish tremendously.

My companions, on the other hand, ordered the Eggs Benedict, which I also had the benefit of tasting. Aside from the presentation being appetizing, the portions were again hearty. More importantly, the dish was delicious, with the smokey flavor of the bacon standing out. The dish also came with the same crunchy French fries they served with their omelette.

And what would a breakfast place be without pancakes?! We had the Blueberry Cream Cheese Pancake which again was an ample dish. It’s difficult to make pancakes stand out from other pancakes but Ine thing's for sure, Maple does not scrimp on its ingredients. Ample cheese, ample butter, ample syrup, and ample pancakes! Nice!

The place itself is clean and nicely appointed. Bright, not overly decorated and not overly simple, just right. It also had a nice view of the Sanctuario de San Antonio. The only drawback I noticed was that it gets pretty warm near the wide windows on a hot sunny morning. That said, better to stay in the inner tables which would still have a nice unobstructed view of the church anyway.

Certainly a place worth visiting again!

It is really nice to have this place closer to our workplace so that we can get our tummies a much deserved breakfast after staying in office for like 12 hours or more. I had prolly I guess the heftiest they have, from the name itself you would prolly come to the idea that it's the biggest. The BIG Maple Breakfast. You can have it with either Belgian Waffle or any pancakes of your choice. I had Belgian Waffles for any reason. I have so much love for Bacon so i saved it for last. I tried their Belgian Waffle first, well just like any other usual Belgian Waffle, there is no something special in it. Maybe you'd prolly get overwhelmed because of its giant size. Aside from that, there is none. Sausage is good, it's a bit longer and bigger than that of IHOP's. Eggs just like the usual. Fries are good. And the Bacon, whoaaaa it's heaven. Ambiance wise, it's perfect. You'll feel a fine dining place with the richest people since it's within the vicinity of Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village where the richest people in the Phillipines live. Staff, they're very accommodating and classy. Overall it was really a nice experience!

Warning: Servings are hefty that 1 order is already good for two persons!

It wasn't my first time dining at Maple but last night I gave in to ordering the most popular meal on their menu The Prime Rib Tapa. The meat was very flavorful (but a bit tough for medium well) it went well with the rice and egg. To be honest, the feeling I had after was quite underwhelming, it was not the meal that I was expecting but nonetheless it was good and the price was worth the size of the meat. On the plus side, I felt like the meal went so well with the Country Iced Tea!128076🏽

Finally got to try this last tuesday morning! Hoorayy!! 128588

Anthony and I ordered their Prime Rib Tapa and Fish Tacos. We wanted to order their blueberry pancakes but we were already very very full and that's gluttony! 128586 (next time!!!! Plus their egg's ben 128521)

Hmmm, the tapa was okay. Not what I expected. We asked for it to be cooked medium, but meh. It wasn't that tender and as flavorful. The meat was huge but so as it's bone! Almost half of it was........ buto! Huhu. 128546128528

The fish taco was good but not the best. It's light and refreshing. 128077

Will I comeback? Yes for the pancakes and egg's ben (but not soon soon). It's a bit pricey and not super worth it. 128528

Service was good, though. They were fast to refill our water. Very attentive servers. 128077 And oh, the complimentary bread was good especially when it's still warm! 128076

As am a major fan of creamy soup, I had clam chowder (which turned out to be more of creamy onion soup! 128530). Also tried their chili fries which was really yummy and made me want to come back and try their truffle fries too! Lastly, the seafood jambalaya was ok, I would have liked it better if the tomato sauce wasn't so overpowering. 128540

I love eggs benedict so I'd been looking forward to trying Maple's version since I keep hearing good things about it. I guess my standard of REALLY GOOD eggs Benedict is different from everyone else's because I thought Maple's version was ok but not superb as most others would say. The hollandaise sauce was nothing to brag about; honestly I barely tasted it. I wasn't a fan of the bread they used either. The fries (crunchy fries if the menu description is to be believed) was not that crunchy - McDonald's serves crunchier fries!

That said, the ambience and the service was fine so I might go back to try something else on the menu.
