One of the things listed on our El Nido to-do-list was to binge eat obscene amounts of seafood.
Hence we ignored our aching joints and decided to have dinner at Marbers. This is a beachfront restaurant. I am not sure of their hours of operation but it's really full of tourists at night. Their set-up is similar to any Paluto restaurant, customers pick their seafood and advise em how you want it to be cooked.
Not much to say about the interior, think of it as a Carinderia near the beach (i mean that lovingly). CMA picked the food, i said that he can order what he wants as long as there's fish.
We got the following:
| Grilled Tanigue Steak (php 200). This is effing fantastic! The fish is cooked perfectly, moist in the inside. I taste the flavors of the sea. I liked the fact that it is grilled as the fish is the star.
| Mussels and Clams sautéed in garlic. (php 200). Haven't had mussels and clams in a while. These babies are fresh. The mussels are sweet with a very light garlic flavor.
| Tiger Prawns in sautéed in butter with garlic (4 pieces, php 590). These babies are dem huge. You might think that 4 pieces aint enough, but it is sufficient to satiate prawn cravings. And lemme commend the chef for removing the shells! Yes, we both hate removing shells. The meat is perfectly cooked - soft, moist and full of flavor. Drizzle some garlic butter sauce and experience Nirvana in every bite.
Yes, we ate four cups of rice with some soda on the side. We were serious when we said that "Binge Eat Obscene Amounts Of Seafood"
