Tagaytay is known to be a go-to-place on weekends or even on holidays. A lot of establishments have been built in a span of 1 year but what is really something good about it? Guess it’s the climate and the underrated restaurants you will never see in the metro.

Marcia Adams is one of those beautiful restos you should visit in Tagaytay. I’ve been seeing reviews about this place way back but never got the chance to do so until yesterday…

While on our way, it was raining and so I was thinking I won’t be able to take outdoor photos. When we arrive, the rain stopped! Haha! I will move heaven and earth to give justice to this beautiful place! Yaaay! *insert happy dance*

Note: Wear comfy shoes because the way going inside is a bit steep, you might slip especially when raining.

This resto is Tuscany inspired where you can choose your spot. There’s one near the entrance along with the beautiful flowers, there’s also one with a very cozy feels with chandeliers and stoned inspired theme, where we dined. There’s also one near the kitchen with a relaxing window view but it was packed. The other one was outside- al fresco dining area which gives a lovely view of nature and fresh air.

I noticed that their wooden chairs are very heavy. Haha! (I was thinking, it’s as heavy as the dumbbells I’ve been lifting LOL) Even the stuffed toys around the tables are heavy too! I think they put sand inside? How can kids carry those? 🤔128170🏻 Anyway... their menu design caught my attention, I like how it’s crafted and made, just very artistic! When ordering, it has to be a set meal. The main course that you will be ordering will include an appetizer and dessert already. After we placed our orders, they served us a complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

For starters, we had the <Tzatziki with Lettuce Chips>, this refreshing yogurt dish is served all over Eastern Mediterranean and best paired with meat dishes. It’s good though the dip lacks a bit of taste? Or maybe too much mayo was added. Good thing I ordered for a very yummy appetizer! I had <Amaffi Prawns> which has crispy and succulent prawns marinated in salt, pepper, olive oil, parsley, coated with bread crumbs and pan-fried!! This is a must!

For the Main Course, I ordered for <Classic Chicken Kebab> (P735) – marinated in lemon, salt, pepper, rosemary, oregano and olive oil (2 sticks) Believe me, they have a very huge serving!! I like the taste of the chicken kebab. It comes with a tzatziki dip as well.

I have also tried their <Italian Pork Chop> (P835) – a grilled loin chop seasoned with fennel and pepper with fresh tomato salsa! This is to die for!! I super like how they marinated this porkchop, a bit spicy because of the pepper, but just of the right amount. Make sure you’re hungry when you try this because if not, you might not be able to finish it!

And of course… my favorite part.. the dessert!! We ordered for their best sellers, <Lemon Cheesecake>, this is just so good!!! I would love to place another order but im already in food coma! Haha! We also had the <Pavlova>, which is a must!! It has meringue topped with whipped cream, banana, kiwis and passion fruit which compliments one another.

For the drinks, I had <homemade Lemon and Lime-Bitters>. It’s just ok for me but I find the serving of their drinks small, good thing they have pitcher of water.

Overall, I supeeeer love the food, the ambiance, the customer service, food price is definitely worth it for a complete set meal with this superb quality of food! 128076🏼

**Please make a reservation ahead of time esp on weekends.

Will I go back? Big YES! 10084

Trivia: Marcia and Neil Adams owned this place and whenever you do a reservation, they are the one who will respond to you directly! They're very hands on to the customers.

There are a lot of hidden restaurants to be discovered in Tagaytay. One of the restaurants that my friends and I tried is Marcia Adams.

Last March, my friends and I chose to have lunch in this restaurant. It was a good thing we decided to have lunch during a weekday because we had the whole place to ourselves. Since we had the whole place to ourselves, we were able to enjoy taking pictures & all for Instagram 128540

What I love about Marcia Adams is its ambiance. It has this vibe that you are in Tuscany. As you arrive, the very first thing you will see is a big wooden door. Then, you will pass through a maze-type garden before you can officially get a seat. You don't have to worry about getting lost because they will provide you with directions.

The nice thing about the meals of Marcia Adams is that they have a set meal (appetizer, main meal and dessert) worth 700php. I don't know about you guys but I find this reasonable. Here are the following we ordered:

My order: Baba Ganoush (appetizer), Chicken Kebab (main dish) & Fried Bananas w/ Chocolate Dip (dessert)
My best friend's order: Hummus w/ Whole Wheat Tortilla (appetizer), Chicken Kebab (main dish) and Panna Cotta w/ Lemon Sauce (dessert).
My close friend's order: Tzatiki w/ Lettuce Chips (appetizer), Chicken Kebab (main dish) and Strawberry Yoghurt Icecream w/ Berry Compote (dessert).

Verdict: Among the appetizers we ordered, I would have to go for the Tzatiki w/ Lettuce Chips. The sauce of the Baba Ganoush was just right. The Lettuce Chips was so addicting plus this can be an alternative to potato chips.
The Chicken Kebab was just right. It only became yummy due to the sauce.
For the dessert, I would have to go for the Strawberry Yoghurt Ice Cream w/ Berry Compote. I love strawberries so I feel like I'm in heaven every time I get to eat one. The fried bananas was also good but I was too full from my main course that I wasn't able to finish it.

PS: They only accept reservations

An inconspicuous garden resto that boasts its Tuscany-like. The appetizer Amalfi prawns were good, hummus is ok. Melon and arugula salad was good too. Loved their Fish Souvlaki (Marlin). Their octopus dish and mushroom pasta was ok. Desserts was good especially the pavlova.

My boyfriend surprised me with a lunch date here for our anniversary and I couldn't have asked for a better place. I have a thing for these hidden garden cafes and this one just really captured the whole spectrum. First of all, I'm thankful for Waze because there were no signs from the highway pointing to Marcia Adams. It's at the far end of Tagaytay (from the center), at the borderline of Tagaytay and Alfonso.

The place is divided into different dining sections, each with a unique quaint design but gives off the same rustic ambiance. Of course, we chose the breeziest part with a view (we came on a Monday so there weren't much people and we had the luxury of choosing our table). They serve Mediterranean food which I was worried about at first. Their specialty is kebabs, but as I'm not a big fan of kebabs, I went for the Grilled Aromatic Pork. My boyfriend got Chicken Kebabs. The ending... we switched orders. I was expecting the Aromatic Pork was porkchop, but it was like a slab of liempo with lots of thick fat. Had a change of heart with kebabs though. I loved the Chicken Kebabs!! Main courses are worth Php 700 a plate but comes with appetizer and dessert. Not bad for the serving size I tell you. The Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce was a winner!

I tried many restaurants in Tagaytay but this is one of the best.

Had a really great experience on my first ever visit to Marcia Adams' earlier this month that I just had to go again the week after despite the horrible traffic Southbound. This quaint restaurant is nestled way past where all the crowds of Tagaytay are concentrated but it's quite easy to locate as it's just a short drive from the main road. Unlike most restaurants which have the dining area all in one enclosed space, the dining areas in Marcia Adams' are spread out in different sections- to the left side is this dim, cavern-like dining space with stone walls and further down is a more intimate area with bright yellow walls and large arched windows. And although the latter is actually quite romantic, what I do prefer more is their dining area on the right side of the restaurant because it's bright and airy (and of course all the natural light just makes it all the more easier to take beautiful photos).

Each main course comes with your choice of an appetizer and dessert so the minimum 700.00 pricetag on their mains is actually made a bit more reasonable. I shared orders with my two other friends and we made it a point to order different dishes to get to see and try more of what they had. For our appetizers, we ordered Hummus with Whole Wheat Tortilla, Baba Ghanoush, and Tzatziki and Lettuce Chips. For our mains we ordered Italian Pork Chop (795.00), Ai Funghi pasta (765.00), and Classic Chicken Kebabs (700.00). For dessert we had Grilled Orange with Vanilla Icecream, Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce, and Strawberry Yoghurt Icecream with Berry Compote. Safe to say that everything we ordered that afternoon was excellent BUT the winner for me hands down has got to be their Italian Pork Chop- thick slab of tender and perfectly seasoned meat (!!!) closely followed by their Chicken Kebab. Among the appetizers, the Hummus really stood out for me- I don't normally like hummus but this one had a subtle garlicky taste and the tortilla chips were warm and crispy which I loved. In terms of dessert, the Strawberry Yoghurt Icecream was my favorite- it was tangy but the sweetness of the compote balanced it out. The Ai Funghi was not as good as the first time I tried it, but it wasn't bad either. The Arugula Salad with Shaved Parmesan is also a good choice if you want to throw in some greens in your meal. In terms of serving size, all of the mains are good for one person although the Pork Chop should be good for two. I would recommend sharing though so you get a bit of everything!

Their service was quick and their reservation process was also very easy: you just give them a call and they'll list you down for your preferred time. For both Saturdays that I was there the place wasn't teeming with people- even at 12 or 12:30, but when you plan to drive farther down past all the restaurants it's definitely better to call ahead of time just in case!

Can't wait to be back 128171

It was my first time here and fortunately they accept walk-ins since the family was out hunting for a restaurant in Tagaytay the last minute. Even when they do, I think it is still a must to get seats reserved ahead so you can have a better dining experience-- with a view and away from creepy crawlies falling on your food. For the food, it can be a little pricey. Minimum is 700php with an appetizer and dessert included. Some options, however, requires additional payment but I assure you that every peso is so worth it.

For the appetizer, I ordered the lettuce chips with yoghurt dip (?) And it was good and bitin 128528 then for the main course, I orded chicken kebabs. IT WAS THE BEST TASTING, TENDER AND MOST FLAVORFUL KEBABS EVER 128546128546128546 the serving was just right and I enjoyed it very much. For the dessert, I ordered the lemon cheesecake (had to add 90php for it) and it was good. The consistency wasn't runny nor too soft with the right amount of zest. I loved it here so much huhu

It has been quite some time since I was last here. Had a sudden craving for their Italian pork chop, hence, the visit. I had my usual appetizer- Amalfi prawns, tasty and succulent. I was soooo looking forward to my pork chop, but to my utmost disappointment, when i cut through the meat, bloody juice oozed out. I called the attention of the server, she came back to ask me if they would change it or will they just cook what they served me earlier. To save time, I opted for the latter... bad choice...bad indeed... meat was already overcooked and tough when it came back. First time this ever happened here, in the number of times I have been in this place...I am hoping this is just an isolated occurrence. 128532

marcia adams is one of the secret restaurant gardens in tagaytay. i really love the place because of its cozy and homey feel but the food is kinda expensive though. There is a minimum amount per person 700.00 each for a set meal which comes with a dessert, main course meal and appetizer. With the location and the taste of the food i can say its really worth it!!! 128525

Perfect date place in Tagaytay area! We stayed in the balcony area and enjoyed the lush green scenery!

They offer complimentary freshly baked bread to be dipped in olive oil and balsalmic vinegar.

The Italian porkchop was huge! It can be shared by 2 people but the meat was hard because of the thickness of the cut. It is better to get the other porkchop. The lamb stew was just so-so! Each main course comes with an appetizer and dessert.

The lemon pannacotta is yummm! Good balance between sweet and tangy!

Each person will probably spend about 800 pesos. Although a but pricey, the view and vibe of the restaurant makes it worth it! They are also under renovation to turn the restaurant into a bed and breakfast!

Marcia Adams is a restaurant in Alfonso, Cavite just a few blocks (Sikat Rd.) to your right after passing the boundary of Tagaytay and Alfonso. The place was just a couple of meters from the National Rd. It has about 4-5 capacity of parking spaces but you are allowed to park on the side of the street near it (park at your own risk). The place was great it reminds me living with my Lolos and Lolas again. It was very nostalgic. This restaurant has a lot of picture-perfect sites on its Tuscany-inspired theme. The food was great and worth every penny for it. For just 700 up consist the appetizer, main course, and desert. There is also a complimentary food waiting for you. This place is worth visiting again and again, I would love to drive from Manila for a couple of hours just to dine in this cozy place.

P.S
Been here thrice already. 128513128513128513128513

Marcia Adams is one of those places that makes you believe in 'love at first sight'. This place is really picturesque with every corner screaming in character, calmness and romantic feels. What made my visit even more memorable and perfect was that I got to spend it with my family and future in-laws. Nakakatuwa!9786

We got at least 4 orders of Italian porkchop, grilled aromatic pork, carbonara special and fish souvlaki. I thought it was pricey at first but when the orders came, everything was good for sharing. I only tried my fish souvlaki and Joe's Italian porkchop and they were both delicious! The chops were at least 1.5 inches thick without losing its' juiciness and flavor. The fish kebabs, perfectly marinated with lemon and herbs, were surprisingly filling too!

For our desserts, we almost got everything on the menu. But the stand-outs were the strawberry yogurt ice cream, lemon cheesecake and fried bananas with chocolate dip. Really refreshing on the palate after a scrumptious meal.128522

It was unfortunate that it drizzled a bit and we got attacked by moths at the end of our meal/dessert. And it was funny how we ruined the ambiance of the place from all the screaming and running + carrying of plates to transfer to the other side of the resto. Nakakaloka!128514 But overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

Love this place! The Italian Pork Chop is divine! It's soooo tasty and heavy! Worth the price of 795! 9786️ it comes with an appetizer and dessert too! I had the Hummus with Whole Wheat Tortillas (not in any of the photos) for the appetizer and the Panacotta for dessert 128525 you'd think it's expensive at first but since it comes with an appetizer and dessert, it comes out reasonably priced 9786

Mika B had the Steak with truffle butter! 128561 sooooo good! The serving is huge!!! A bit on the pricier side but it was mouthwatering good! 128513

The ambiance is amazing too! I think it's a really cute date place or the perfect venue to catch up with friends 10084️ the staff are really nice and very accommodating too 9786

Definitely worth a visit when in Tagaytay 128513

Not too late for a Marcia Adams sortie. 128517
The place is a lush garden type resto like Sonya's garden, a former home converted to a diner. Choose your dining place in terms of interiors and vibe from Greek, to French and Tuscan. I liked the Tuscan.

The meal is perfect here with serene surroundings, able wait staff and deliciously done meals like my beef tenderloin with bacon. Mains come in sets and you choose your appetizer and dessert to come with it at a premium price. The panna cotta with lemon sauce was the best I had in years. Tuck within the hilly sides of Alfonso Cavite. I saw construction of what seems to be a 3 storey annex with good perfect views of the plain below and sunset. One good reason to come back here once it's done.
