Have yourself invited - force yourself if you need to at this members only garden setting resto. The food is really good and the ambiance is really cute! The French chef came from Balesin. Order the bouillabaisse 1st to warm up your tummy then mussels in white sauce. The really good mains are the duck confit as well as the foie gras. And you'd be cheating yourself if you don't order dessert - toblerone sansrival FTW.

A homey garden resto hidden in Makati CBD. Named after the founder of Makati Garden club they serve very sumptuos food and the homey cute feminine interior was a great escape from the busy makati. We tried their best seller wine and cream Chilean Mussel, one of the best Mussel dish I've tried. I also love their Merlot lamb shank and the chicken meditteranean salad. The chef was also entertaining he made sure we are enjoying the food. By the way they also serve free appetizer and bread. I love the bugeut they serve I think they refilled it 3 times hehehe. Overall the place was beautiful and the food was great. Just be prepare to spend and take note they don't accept credit card.

P.S. not sure if you need to be a member of the makati garden club, but they welcome our group even none of us were a member. 128540

A secret garden within the Makati City??
Still mesmerized with this place. Can't stop raving about it. This secret garden should be known to public!!

Dishes here a superbly done. I mean, now I know why it's an exclusive place. Yes guys, apparently you have to be a member of "The Makati City Garden Club" to actually dine in here. Also, reservations is a MUST.

Did I say, the food is just wonderful? The food is wonderful. 128523128525 Perfect for special occasions. Even the complimentary chocolate cake. 128525

Oh yeah they accept cash only. And prices would range around 1k each. Although the servings are quite big so SULIT!! 128525

If you ask me if I'll be back again? Most definitely. 128077

The perfect combination of carbs and protein. Carefully selected mussels cooked in a creamy ,delectable white sauce. The sauce is sooo good, that you would want to wipe it clean with the crunchy-crust,fluffy-cored sourdough bread that the dish comes with. Plus! The place doesn't skimp on serving size. This dish is just lovely, oh so lovely. - Dast S.

Very good service! The ribeye steak was so good. We ordered the sharing portion. The braised oxtail was so tender and flavourful. It comes with the risotto that we all loved! The smoked salmon is also a must! My sis in law tried their basil lemonade. It tasted a bit like pesto sauce because of the basil but it was refreshing and different.

Whenever you are around Makati CBD and you want to escape the busy district for awhile without traveling too far, Maria Luisa's is your place to be!

This hidden gem was food to the soul itself. It was quite refreshing seeing some greens amidst the tall buildings and fast cars in the metro. So for the ambience alone, this place deserves five starss.

They also have a boulangerie. They served freshly baked breads available 10 am onwards. I haven't tried any of it but everything was promising! The place can be reserved too for a group of 10 for breakfast.

The interior of the place was also inviting, especially for us, girls. It echoed femininity everywhere with its pastel and floral designs that every masculine would scream of discrimination. Lol.

Places with girly concepts these days were like mushrooms on a rainy day.

Moving forward to their food offerings, we had their specials of the week which were composed of cheese fondue, lamb dish and a vegetarian savory crepe.

The cheese fondue was divine and it wasn't nakakaumay to start with. I loved dipping breads on the variety of melted cheese. Do not ask me what kind of cheese because I'm no cheese geek. Lol

The Lamb Dish was great, too! Hey anything Lamb, I'd surely love! And the vegetarian savory crepe, it's sumptuous! I'm not into veggies but this one had me at first bite. Lol.

Price-wise, you have to prepare atleast 1k/person to have the overall experience.

From food to ambience, this place shouldn't be kept secret!

A new hidden gem of a find in the center of the concrete jungles of Makati CBD. This now is my current favorite fine dining place. Really excited to share this fine dining find. This venue has been under the foodie radar-- by choice of the owner.

Who would have thought that there still existed a free-standing homey-chic-quaint garden dining place in the heart of Makati CBD?

This place is tricky to find (being off the beaten track of the CBD). But the place offers a repose of peace, calm, nature , and certain homey country-inn elegance amidst the high buildings.

As the place's name says, it is in a garden. A former home converted into a fine dining venue. Eclectic, yet elegant mix of furnitures that evoke European, Early American, and Asian accents. Heavy chandeliers and lighted candelabras (yup even during lunch ). Mismatched pink upholstered chairs. A certain elegant femininity in style yet masculine in accents. Bright with the all glass pane less windows and white walls. The place is awash with wall accents of hand painted leaves and flowers. European master artwork reprints also adorn their walls. Light, cozy, yet not trying-hard. Pink, green, and floral accents seem to be the their color motif. From their fine linen to their menu. Why? It's an Indoor Garden dining venue (I guess...).

They do have an extensive menu ranging from light meals, appetizers, salads all the way to imported meat selections, carvings, seafoods , and pasta. Main courses are big plated and for sharing. They even have platter menus good for 3-4 people. A fine wine selection. A decent non-alcoholic beverage selection too. A good selection of interesting desserts ranging from cakes, pies, and cream pastries.

This visit was lunch. I opted for something light. I was immediately served complimentary appetizers of home made pumpernickel bread slices topped with roast beef, remoulade, and thin cucumber slices. Loved the pumpernickel bread--dark, subtle, nutty flavor and texture that held the beef slices and dressing nicely.

Opted for one of their Danish Open Faces Sandwich choices. First choice was one of their best sellers--their Pink Lamb with Feta. Unfortunately , this was not available. Thus settled for another best seller -Cattleman's Favorite- tender pink roast beef slices, stacked over a thick toasted slightly tangy sourdough bread with a nice crunchy sesame seed crust, topped with a nice creamy but thin remoulade sauce. Crispy fried onion slices--sweet and tangy added a nice note to the open faced sandwich dish. The salad that come with it- crisp , fresh and vibrant. Fresh sweet yellow -golden mangoes slices, red juicy tomato slices, crisp thin onion slices, crisp and fresh garden greens. Nice tangy-sweet vinaigrette . Lovely, light to the taste buds ,yet filling lunch.

Their best seller fruit shake-strawberry basil , was likely divine. Fresh strawberries , blended with basil leaves. Right sweetness, tang, and a certain sweet pungent kick. Perfect pairing for a light fine lunch.

Their breads - freshly baked in their open kitchen. Ended up bringing home a loaf of pumpernickel ( yummy for cream cheese and smoked salmon) and their crusty yummy sesame sourdough bread for crusty soup bread pairings with home cooked creamy savory soups (perhaps a bisque or a chowder).

Indeed a new favorite hidden gem of a place of mine. Will come back with a bigger group of friends to indulge in their big plated dishes. Perfect place too for some romantic dinners. Definitely recommended to serious foodies looking for a quaint, homey, yet chic hidden venue that offers dishes that tantalize the taste buds and the senses.

Just be sure to bring cash. They don't accept credit cards. Funny , because some of their meat dishes run into the 3,000 plus ( and that's per dish)! I guess some loyal patrons of theirs don't mind bringing thick wads of cash when dining at this place.

Had dinner in Maria Luisa's Garden restaurant the other day... Upon entering Manila Gardens in Recoletos street right across Intercontinental hotel, you see a small little French bistro type of restaurant on your left. The ambiance was gorgeous! Such a pretty little quaint restaurant. The food was even more spectacular. Not a bad dish ordered. I ordered the ox tongue which was served with cheese spaetzle. So delicious... The lengua literally melted in your mouth. For appetizers we were able to try the clams in cream sauce, the chorizo an artichokes, the shrimps with tomato cream sauce and feta and ozou and some canapés. I also had the French onion soup. Not one bad dish. Prices are a bit expensive but taste is definitely not sacrificed so it was worth every penny.

A pleasant surprise in a hidden corner of Makati. Very dainty French restaurant. Suggest the mussels in white wine and cream sauce, lobster soup and duck confit.
