White sand. Sun. Fun and never ending fun all within 45 minute drive from Cebu City proper. Luxurious vacation need not be too expensive.

We stayed here for a night and their room was very huge! Great beachfront view, good service and nice breakfast selection! Their "day care" service is also great. Their staff are trained to pamper their hotel guests and treat them like they are on a special holiday! I needed to go to the hospital for check up and they were very kind to offer to watch over my children.

We got a 3d/2n stay for only php13500 from Deal Grocer. Upon arrival, a representative qas already there and had a car waiting for us. The check was a breeze. We arrived at 830 but they already allowed us to stay in the room. The Amuma Rm has 2 queen sized bed and a really gorgeous bathroom! We had lunch buffet ( nothing spectacular) though the fishes served were really fresh and tasty. Breakfast buffets has better choices and plentiful. We also tried their seafood restaurant The Cove. They have live fishes and seashells that were cooked grilled or steamed. It is kinda pricey though. We ordered steamed sa'hang, lapulapu in soy sauce, chili crab, and mango prawn salad. Dinner for 2 is Php 3714. Or we just ate a lot! Delicious though!!!

Stayed at the Royal Bungalow, located beachfront and was perfect for a big group like ours. Giving service 5 stars. Pool was okay. Allegro restaurant had awesome buffet and the massage is definitely a must-try. Great stay all in all.

This is a nice resort, but very pricey. The Cove is their specialty fish restaurant jutted out into the bay with tanks full of fresh fish and crabs. The mud crabs are the best value for the money, but don t expect to pay less than 1,000 per person for a meal here. Compared to the two lechon manok (grilled chicken) for 250 that you can get in the little restaurants around the hotel, that is a big difference.
Anyway. we ate at the Cove three times in four days because of the ambiance and the sea food. The other minor gripe is the old bitter coffee at breakfast.
On the whole we enjoyed our days at Bluewater Maribago. The staff is lovely!

To kick off my long overdue reviews from Cebu, Here's the first place I went to in Cebu.

Maribago Bluewater is located on the opposite side of Mactan from the airport further away from Cebu City. Traveling by Taxi from Mactan Int'l Airport costs about 150php. From the Resort it's a short Multicab (Mini Jeepneys) to the Mactan Shrine and the Sutukils (more on that later). Close by you'll find a Savemore and a bunch of other restaurants (mostly korean, but I did see an Italian restaurant, and the aptly named Maribago Grill)

There's a lot of things to do around the resort, 2 swimming pools, a beachfront, a small gym, and a spa (although I wasn't able to try the spa). For the more adventurous, you can take a boat ride, take in a little island hopping and a little snorkeling (side note, if the weather is bad I wouldn't suggest snorkeling though)

If there was anything to complain about, it would be the the room. The room was quite big, with an equally large toilet, what I found strange was the bath and shower area was lined with wall to wall stones (not just stone flooring, but actual stones) it kept the floor quite dry, but it can get a little uncomfortable at first. Another thing i noticed was when I woke up in the morning was the lack of windows, literally the only outside light coming in was through the opaque door, it made the room feel like a box instead of the spacious room it is.

The best part of staying though, had to be the Breakfast Buffet that came with the room (That's right the breakfast buffet came with the room) the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones I tried, the food wasn't anything fancy, but the food was good and hearty. The selection was wide from pancakes, to danggit, to osam bulgogi (korean pork and squid stew) there was something for everybody.

Staff service was definitely friendly and welcoming. As for the price, we booked quite early and spent around 180$/room (about 7560php) through Agoda. which honestly wasn't bad as it was Sinulog weekend after all.

Coming back? Definitely if the money is available 128184
