Great lunch buffet food choices, cool ambience & place have nice decorations for 2016 Xmas holiday, parking maybe a problem if peak season so come early they start 11am. We were serenaded while dining. Kudos to the waiters and managers who were very attentive to your request. My family had a great lunch anniversary date.

It's been years since we first ate at this place and since we're back in Baguio after a couple of years also, we wouldn't miss visiting Mario's.

Can't seem to get over Mario's Famous Caesar Salad so we decided to order it again. And it never disappoints. The greens are crunchy, which means it's fresh. There's a healthy serving of dressing, croutons and bacon bits, the combination never overwhelms. Tip: When ordering their Caesar Salad, you'll be asked by the Waiter if you want it to be plated separately, you have the option to say No, so you can see how big the actual serving is.

We also ordered Three Mushroom Pasta with Black Truffle Oil, Chicken Pesto Pasta (forgot the name but this is how I remembered it), and for dessert, we had a slice of Belgian Chocolate Cake and Churros. All were good but since the pasta servings are big, when the desserts came, we only had a few bites and opted to have it to go.

My ratings for this place:
5/5 - Food. All are yummy. Don't hesitate to ask for their best sellers or recommedations.
4/5 - Price / Value for money. If you want to eat here, I suggest that you should allot money. The food is great, believe me. You're also paying for the ambiance, excellent customer service and clean rest rooms. Not for those who are on a strict budget.
5/5 - Ambiance. Ideal for family gatherings and dates too. You can opt to seat near the fireplace for a romantic feel or you can seat outside, to enjoy the cool weather, especially at night.
5/5 - Customer Service. Excellent and Kudos to the staff for being friendly and accommodating.
5/5 - Rest Rooms. It's clean and spacious.

We'll definitely be back! 128521

My love affair with Mario's Baguio started when i was 12yrs old. Tito robin brought me here for some bonding time and ive been a fan ever since. I know they have other branches, but for me, only Mario's Baguio offers the bestest(!) best topnotch gustatory delights that always always suits my palate.
For New Years Eve 2014 dinner, ren, drei, and i enjoyed a culinary feast which consisted of Mario's Peppered Steak, Pasta Bolognese, Surtido de Tapas, and New England Clam Chowder. I wouldve ordered their famous paella and prawn thermidore but ren said we had more than enough food to last us til Valentines day hehe.
The ambiance was just perfect, we were seated near the violinist and they were serving wine (on the house) for all the guests since it was new years eve. The food was truly mouthwatering i couldnt wait to sink my teeth into everything when our orders came. Drei enjoyed playing by their huge christmas tree and she also finished the entire chowder on her own- mind you shes very picky so if she really likes something she finishes it all.
The food as always was excellent- just as perfect as i remember 10084️ Mario's Baguio will always have a special place in my heart (and tummy!) and I cant wait to go back again!

We visit the summer capital on an average of probably 3-4 times a year, and have always passed by Mario's while going around, but for some reason or another, we've never stopped to dine there. That's until we followed the recommendation on Chef Claude Tayag's book, 'Food Tour', and we're sure glad we did.
We stopped by for a late lunch and first ordered the sampler of their tapas - a combo of four appetizers in one platter: spicy wings, crispy shrimps, squid rings, and my favorite - spanish chorizos! This platter can stand on it's own and would pass for a meal if you take rice with it :-)
Anyway, for our main dish we got the callos, and what can I say, it is the best I have tasted! Ever. Really to die for. Perfect sauce consistency, the rich taste and right texture - I can't stop eating even though I know that too much of it is bad for me (cholesterol pill, please stand by). I actually ordered a second cup of rice just so I could eat more. We got a roast chicken for the boys which was also good, but not so exceptional then topped it off with churros con chocolate. All of these we enjoyed leisurely under the cool shade of pine trees as we opted to take an al fresco table instead of the cozy interior. It was a good lunch.
With Mario's, you kinda already expect to experience fine dining and good food, it's just a welcome change to have it in a different setting. So for some fine spanish taste in the city of pines, Mario's is definitely a must. :-)

Was supposed to just try their famous Caesar Salad but ended up ordering grilled salmon, toffee sans rival and Spanish hot choco! Argh!

I liked their salad because the lettuce was super fresh and crunchy. The sauce was also just right, not too rich nor overpowering. Also love the pepper sprinkled on the salad.

Their salmon was okay (the orange sauce gave it a twist).

The toffee sans rival was too sweet (I loved the insides though sans the toffee..). Might try the regular sans rival next time.

Their hot choco (though not as good as Antonio's) is nice and thick :) it was perfect to sip while I enjoyed Baguio's cool air :)

Btw, I love their waiters, friendly and discreetly attentive! They are out of the way but know when you need them :)

Overall, Mario's is a place you can rely on for good food though it is a bit on the pricey side.
