Maybe they changed their chef because we had a bad meal last night 128548

*Beef randang is not tender, oily and not spicy
*stir fry Kang kong is salty
*Nasi Goreng is too oily
*chicken satay is good but the peanut sauce is nit the sane as we use to have it there
* beef soup is just OK nothing special to brag about it.

Will not be coming back here again even if they serve Halal foods.

LATE POST

Having a discount voucher meant having to eat more than what you'ven paid for!

The only problem I had with them was the staffs not as helpful or attentive. Not sure if food was authentic BUT I kept coming back for more.

Ordered Char Kwey Teow, Roti Canai, Mango Shake

It was my third time at Martabak this November with Ensogo Food Voucher on hand. We ordered Nasi Goreng (loved it!), Beef Curry (liked it), Kway Teow Goreng (loved it!). Service is so-so, but I kept coming back. Basically, I liked their food. I also loved the Roti Canai with curry, but, not a fan of Satay tho it was too tiny.

It's my first time to eat Malaysian food so I'm pretty much just gonna give an amateur review.

We ate Beef Rendang, Sambal Prawn, Chicken Satay and Nasi Goreng. 128522 I ordered the platter so I can taste everything.

Beef Rendang is goooood. Tender beef with just the right hint of spicy. It tastes like weird curry - a really good weird curry.

Sambal Prawn is a bit tough. They have probably been grilled too long. 128532

Chicken Satay is tender, juicy and flavorful. 128077I like the peanut sauce that was drizzled on the satay. The serving was quite small and I was bitin.

Nasi Goreng was so-so. I have a feeling it could have been better.

One thing I have to comment though was one of the servers kept making faces every time we have a request. It's bad for business. Gives out negative energy to the customers. I forgot to take note of her name.

3 stars because place is ok but would definitely need more improvement - specially with their customer service. Good service and good food go hand in hand. I would probably come back but not very soon.

I had a hankering for some Laksa and chanced upon the place, surprised to find it in their menu, we thought we'd give it the old college try. A bit, nay, a lot more curry than the ones we loved in Singapore. I'm sure others would find it to their liking, but alas, not to us.

Their mocca frappe though, was good and was refreshingly different from the Starbucks kind.

Still on the look out for good laksa, any suggestions?
