on a scale of 5 stars i would give this resto TEN STARS.

This is Mamburao's Hidden Gem.

i never fell in love with a resto like I had with Maru's.

Tucked in a beachfront place this place has stellar food quality and I mean really stellar. Rich flavors.

If restos here in Manila rely on their internationally trained and acclaimed chefs. At Maru's, all they needed is the very innovative and creative mind of the owner. Her excellent use of spices and herbs gives their food a different dimension.

The Fricassee (in the photo) is a must try. An heirloom recipe.

Even their crisscut fries (my absolute favorite) is herbed infused. No scrimping on quality here.

Their coolers are exquisite. the Pink Frostie, concoction of apple and strawberry. The Orange Twist, orange and banana (shown in the photo) Perk, the safer one but my favorite, chocolate and coffee part. It's only 38 pesos.

If you dine here. you can't just possibly imagine how a resto in this little known town serve this kind of food at prices you won't believe.

So now back here in Manila. My food standards went higher thanks to Maru's. Like what I said to the manager. "Unfair kayo, bakit walang hindi masarap dito?"

Oh, their plates are also bada**

So if you're in Mamburao. Make sure to visit Maru's. You won't regret it. Promise.
