Siomai is a little expensive, it's 35 pesos each but it's really delicious. Parking can be a hassle though.

Masuki is the oldest and most reliable establishment for mami (noodle soup) and siopao. Honestly, it is quite obvious that the store has seen better days and there is this 'retro' Chinatown feel to it. Some people may find the place a bit dingy, but of course, one doesn't really come here for the ambience. And once you taste the food, where you are becomes a matter of no consequence.

Their menu is limited to noodle soups and dim sums, but in my opinion, this is all one every really needs anyway. The broth is what gives the noodle soup its distinct character. It's subtle and but it also has this 'umami'-rich taste to it. Fair warning that your breath will be potent for hours following this feast so don't forget to bring your breath mints! :)

Masuki s reportedly 'the best' mami in Binondo Chinatown of Manila and one cannot deny their speed, reliability in serving, and their generous allowance of condiments and sauces for their noodle soups and siopao making this respectable establishment a landmark in its own right.

Cheers,
Mickey

Still has that same great taste and comfort you'll love about a good hot bowl of noodles. And you can always ask for more soup is you want. The siomai are just average though nothing special for such a high price.

It's like eating a piece of the past. They say they are related to Ma Mon Luk, and if you've tried both places, you'd probably agree with me.

Their famous siopao has a rather dry and bland bun but the filling for both bolabola and asado was ok at best. Not outstanding. Surely nothing to go out of your way for.

One of the eateries to go during Binondo food trip, Masuki, formerly known as Ma Kong Mami. This food shop was established since 1930, must try their Masuki original mami with slices of pork and chicken. Broth smells and taste good, add some spring onion and brown sauce to the broth, scoop some brown sauce into the soup spoon and dip the noodle into the brown sauce before slurping the soup and noodles. This pairs well with their asado siopao special, a huge siopao with pork, chicken and salted egg filling.

Was able to eat the vaunted masuki original noodles again after a long time.

The noodles may smell like socks but it's really good. You could really tell noodles are fresh.

A lot of people loved their siopao but I don't. I like their siomai better.

And this noodle is nothing without the magic sauce.

Btw. This is the same with ma mon luk. Just different branch of the family. This particular branch used to be ma mon luk.

My boyfriend always tells me that Masuki is part of his childhood that's why I've decided to go on a foodie date at Masuki today. Since I dont eat beef, I've decided to eat Chicken noodles while Micko (my boyfriend) decided to go for his favorite Beef Noodles. Costs Php 120.00 and if you want to go for a bigger bowl you just need to add Php 10.00

It tastes good but im not a fan of noodles 128076

Always my "Go-To" place when in Binondo.

Do you love siopao? I do, and I love it big and tasty. That big and tasty siopao is a trademark of Masuki. Try the noodles, too.
