Have you tried Siopao na pwedeng isawsaw o isabaw ang sauce sa dami?!? Well, if SOSI (saucey) ka, this is for you! Taipao is their special Pork Siopao. Comes with a (small) cup of Siopao sauce! Pwede pa mag request! 128077128523

I'm looking at my pictures, and it's making me want to have a bowl of Mami soup again!!! Nakaka Gutom!
I've been making Masuki review before (Ortigas branch) because I have tried their Special Siopao a couple of times already. But I didn't have the chance to really visit their branch. Lagi lang ako binibigyan ng Boss ko na mahilig bumili ng Siopao. I strongly recommend it's a must try!

I'm so happy to see that they have branch here in Moa. It's also my first time to try the Mami soup which I am not really fond of eating. My dad used to bring me to Mamonluk when I was in Middle School and Mami soup is his favorite. Ako hindi talaga. I like Wanton, and other Noodle soup but really not Mami. Ewan ko matabang na ewan and I didn't like the type of Noodles used, for me parang may aftertaste. 128513

This time though, I didn't expect I'd finish a bowl of Special Chicken Mami here. I brought my hubby and told him about the Siopao. He ordered Special Original Mami (P130) at Taipao (P85).
Gawd, I put Sriracha sauce and I.love.it! This is Chinese not Viet but why is there Sriracha (or hot sauce?) nga sa table? Hahaha! Lol! 128539

Masuki is one of the oldest noodle houses down in Chinatown and they've expanded their reach to different areas.

Their noodles are plain and simple. The broth is clear and flavorful. Their family sauce is different and goes well with their simple noodles.

Growing up, I only thought they had one variant of the noodles on their menu: Original Mami. Only the size differs, small or big. 128514 only after they branched out did I find out you can choose the meat. 128514 #fail

Overall, their noodles are still pretty the same, but I think the quality over at the main branch is still the best.

Get the most authentic Chinatown mami . Love, love, love all their Mami varieties. I always order Mami with the works ( chicken, beef, asado, wonton). Their staff are so attentive and friendly. Don't forget to order their huge siomai and lip smacking siopao as well. Comfort food at its finest!

I remember eating at the original Ma Mon Luk and even the renamed Masuki in Binondo, and the noodles say it all.

The broth tasted bland though and needed some soy sauce and pepper.

Forget about the siomai and the siopao which were full of extenders.

Very sulit! The noodles has distinctive taste, the sauce has several purpose. You can ask for extra soup of the mami. The sauce unexpectedly goes well with the siomai. Will come back for sure.

I do not like Masuki very much, not this branch at least. The restaurant looks like an old diner. I would probably appreciate the vibe if I were in Binondo.

The food is bland for me. My friends did not like it too. The siomai is big, but tastes weird. The mami tastes like broth of used socks with overcooked noodles.

I regret that on this day, I chose mami over ramen. 128532

I like the mami! Yesterday we tried their original mami since it's only available noodles in their menu. It was good! But what I'm really craving for is the beef wanton mami that really looks good!!! I had to go back and try that one! HAHAHA!

Do you remember when you enter Masuki, it always stink like-"what the hell is that smell?!" But today, as I held my breath to conquer the smell, it didn't have any smell at all. It was a typical fragrant smell!!!! Am I in the right place?

It was shocking!! They have improved drastically! In terms of the smell that is 128517

As always, I ordered the original mami-special that comes with an amazing sauce that you pour in your noodle soup 128076

128205P.S. Try coming back here guys, it doesn't stink anymore! You can eat your meals at peace 128524 9996

So we celebrated our post valentines last night. :) Had a few drinks at TGI Friday's then we decided to have dinner somewhere else. I'm already full so we looked for something Chinese so we won't eat rice then we ended up here.

The receptionist was very friendly as he guided us to our table and recommended dishes. I chose beef mami and my bf ordered the original mami. As we waited, they served their house tea. So here's my verdict: ;)

Food: 1108811088110881108811088
It was delicious! And you can also control the taste/ sweetness by adding the sauce they will give which you could also add to your siopao if you order any.

Service: 11088110881108811088
As what I've mentioned earlier, the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating though when we entered the place, some staff are laughing with each other which is a bit distracting.

Ambience: 11088110881108811088
Typical Cantonese place. Though I love how they put big mirrors inside. I love mirrors. Lol.

Overall, I like this place and I would definitely come back! :)

Used to frequent this place as kids when it was still known as Ma Ko Mami (?) in Manila. I've forgotten the "original" taste already but i assume they retained the quality. The mami and siopao were both good but for some reason, both Nina S and i felt bloated after our meal. Anyhoo...

Authentic Chinese Noodles? This is the place.

When you enter the place, it really stinks (smells like my dog who didn't take a bath for days. Haha128054) My mom hates this place, because she said the whole place smells like "basahan" 24/7, but minus the smell, everything is ohhhhh sooooo good.

I order the Original Mami. You can choose between special or regular(special meaning they serve you the big bowl, regular, small bowl. But no difference in taste). I always get the big bowl. Hello, the small one is bitin! 128055

Together with my Original Mami, I also order siomai. One order gives you two giant siomai. As in literally giant siomai!

While waiting for your noodle soup order, you are served with their special sauce which you pour into your noodles. I always leave a small amount for me to dip my siomai or sometimes make pancit canton style with the noodles from the mami. Soooo delicious!

I know I should've deducted a star for the place being stinky, but what the hell, all their branches smells like this, and they can't do anything about it.
THAT'S WHAT REAL CHINESE NOODLES SMELL LIKE. DEAL WITH IT! 128514
