I think this is the last of the places we visited in Puerto Princesa... 128522

Puerto Princesa is synonymous with the Underground River and Honda Bay... We don't exactly think about drinking or bars with the mention of this place... So, I'm very glad that we were accompanied by locals on our last night there! They brought us to this place, walking distance from Neva's Place... 127939127939127939

Upon seeing the sign, I didn't understand what we were doing there. I mean it said pension house after all... But as soon as we entered, I got it... It was a small room with very few tables and chairs. The hostess was very friendly and greeted us with a big smile... There was also a big friendly dog that had the run of the place.128054 There were signs about beer on the walls and a little blackboard that advertised their brews... And the cabinets were lined by glasses and beer mugs. The most important giveaway is the nozzles by the bar... We stumbled onto a microbrewery, who knew? Pretty cool and unexpected, right?128522

They brewed their own beers, 5 of which are bottled and another 2 are available by tap...127866127866127866 each bottle/glass costs about P130-150... I don't presume to know a lot about beers, I just know what I like... We tried everything, but I can't remember which is which. The one I tried for myself was the Ambog... It was a dark beer, which had a heavy taste. Kind of like the Cervesa Negra. But I liked the Ayahay Ipo, which was a lighter tasting beer... It tasted close to Stella Artois. Maybe the beer connoisseurs out there can judge for themselves...127867127866127867

I'd recommend the place as a great night out with friends while in the area... We didn't check if they offered food, as we were absolutely stuffed by then, so I can't really comment on that... But the servers were efficient, the place with aircon is cramped, but they have an al fresco area at the back!128516 happy drinking!127866
