When in the quaint island of Samal, make sure to include in your itinerary Maxima Aquafun. Giant slides? Check! Kayaking? Check! Snorkeling? Check! Free fall diving? Check!! Fast internet connection? Check na check! LOL If you're into semi-extreme aqua fun, this is the place to be!

The place still being developed when we got there. Some attractions were closed because of renovation, while others are still in progress. There is also a restaurant inside. It's quite pricey but their serving is enough to satisfy your hunger after plunging from the giant slide. (But the drinks are even more pricey!!! 40 pesos for a 500ml bottled water!!! Better bring your own. Hehe)

During peak seasons, the place gets packed with locals and tourists alike. But when off-season, like the time we went there, the place is really quiet. We almost got the entire place to ourselves if it's not for a group of tourists that came in a couple of hours after we checked in.

The waters are clear as well, but there were some trash floating here and there because of the nearby neighboring resorts. Talk about responsible traveling, right? :(

All in all, it was a good experience. Another one for the books! 12814910084

Tip: make sure to make a side trip to Hagimit Falls after your adventure here! It's only 5 minutes away from the resort (via Habal-habal) 128515 I'll write about that some other time. 128518128518128518

Kinda expensive entrance fee. But i enjoyed the cliff slide and diving board for a few times. Quite expensive food menu.

Looking for water adventures? Maxima Aquafun is the place to be if you happen to be in Samal Island, Davao. 128076🏻 We rode habal-habal going there. The fare is P150 for one way trip and that's from Secdea resort where we checked in. It's like 30-45 minutes ride from Secdea. Entrance fee is P300 per pax. You'll have to ride Johnny's ride going down to access the water activities. The rate includes unlimited use of life vest, water slide and water blob. We didn't try the other activities they offer because the water slide and water blob alone will tire the heck out of you. 128514

You can also do snorkeling for free if you have the gear but you can also rent for one just for P50. This place is sooo amazing. The staff/lifeguards are friendly and will even encourage you to try the water blob. Trust me! You should try it, at least for once. 128513 There's a lot of fishes and you'll definitely enjoy snorkeling. They also offer underwater photoshoot for P100. There were only few people when we went there, it was Thursday by the way. We stayed there for a couple of hours and it's definitely worth it! You should visit this place if you happen to be in Samal! 128513128076🏻

Had fun in this place because of their slide.
Its not a place for those people who doesnt know how to swim. They don't have a shore thats why u really need to wear a lifejacket.
