There is an ongoing Lenten special meal that is good for 4. It comes with one whole chicken, tinapa rice, sizzling kangkong tofu and iced tea at php899.

Quite affordable, filling and delicious too!

Our to go to restaurant. Max's! Aside from their famous chicken where you don't need any sauces to boost up the flavor. All you need is their ketchup and a little bit of soy sauce, and hot sauce for spiciness. But either plain chicken or with ketchup is a good idea. 128513128077🏻

We asked for their chicken all you can. Just to try it. But unfortunately that promo was gone. Too bad but still a good thing that I won't have to eat and think of having more chicken than I could. 128514128517 I can't even finish one whole chicken. That is too much. We also had dad's favorite lumpia. It was definitely consistent. 128077🏻 Not dry and in big serving. What caught my attention was their new dessert. I forgot the name but it is something with mango and crumbles. 128514 It was fine, I had to choose the ube decadence over it tho. 9996🏻️ Still a bomb! My favorite.

Backlog. 128513

Had dinner with the family. As usual we ordered their best seller chicken. They have it with 3 sauces aside from ketchup. Gravy, chili paste and sort of mang tomas. 128514 We still rooted for the ketchup. Their chicken was perfect even without sauce. Other orders were just okay. The shanghai and the chopsuey.

Nothing beats Max's fried chicken! Sarap to the bones indeed! My mouth waters just by thinking about Max's fried chicken with Jufran banana ketchup (well, they already took out the "Jufran" label but the taste has been retained).

For this visit, a colleague at work gave us a dinner treat and we ordered their group meal that includes a soup (soup of the day), chopsuey, Pancit canton, sweet and sour fish fillet, lumpiang shanghai, oriental beef with mushroom and 1 whole chicken.

The soup of the day was simply a chicken arrozcaldo without the malagkit. Just can't get enough of their chicken (i love the breast part!) kaya I ordered another cup of rice to go with the chicken. I didn't quite like the lumpia, though, as it had some aftertaste na parang luma. The oriental beef with mushroom was quite good but I ended up eating more of the sweet and sour fish fillet and the chicken.

For dessert, we tried their fruit salad in a cup (in the photo) which was actually frozen. It was so good that I missed the fruit salad that my dad makes at home.

I would always recommend this Max's branch as it is one of the nicest in terms of ambiance and cleanliness. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Fiesta Plate for lunch! White meat quarter chicken, fresh (or fried depending on your preference) lumpiang ubod, and caramel bar.

Woofed down my Max's chicken. Good call by my colleague. You never ever tire of Max's chicken. Crunchy skin and truly sarap to the bone. Banana ketchup lovers--- unite! Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce, and we're guuuuuuuuuuhhhhd.

The lumpiang ubod is adequate. Though their lumpiang shanghai is the best! (Didn't order it today). Service was very good and fast. But this resto's aircon is a bit weak considering it's a cold day.

Why do I love this branch? Because they have this merienda promo from 2-6 but we can always have it even at 7pm! Try it! They will request the kitchen, or maybe dahil lagi lang kami dito kaya may extra favors.
