After a 7 hour pre nuptial photo shoot at Ninoy Aquino Wildlife Center, when we were already so drained and tired because of the crazy heat, we decided to jump to the Quezon City Circle and have lunch at a restaurant I've been missing for a while now, Max's!

We arrived at around 2 PM and the place was still packed so we needed to wait for almost 20 minutes to have our seats. While waiting, we were then asked to order already to make things faster.

My best friend and I ordered for all. We ordered a Platter Meal per person, an additional order of Sinigang na Tiyan na Bangus, Sizzling Tofu and their Pork Binagoongan.

The orders came by really fast and it was perfect because we were so hungry that when they were placed on the table, we ate instantly!

The Platter Meal was already filling and fulling. The signature chicken of Max's is really good paired with catsup, hot sauce and some Worcestershire sauce! The pancit canton on the side was so generously served too that you'll actually get full with all that's in your plate already.

The Sinigang na Tiyan na Bangus is a good soup on the side. With the vegetables in it, paired with the fresh tasting fish and perfectly seasoned soup tasted so comforting for me.

I love their Sizzling Tofu! It had big servings that can actually be shared by more than 2-3 people! I love the mayo sauce in the tofu, making it even better was the chili placed on it.

The Pork Binagoongan was OK too. The binagoongan sauce wasn't that salty. The pork was a bit hard though. Good thing the tomatoes and mangoes on the side made it better.

The dessert isn't already needed but the platter meal had the restaurant's classic Caramel Bar that no one, well, as far as I know, could not resist. I love it, always, and always.

I was really happy to have eaten at Max's again after a long while, somewhere safe and comforting all the way!

So we ordered 4 main courses for our family lunch & 3 Buko Pandan for dessert. 127847 for me to review it, i'm going to rate it 1 - 5. 5 is the highest.

Family fried chicken : 4

I rate it 4, because the chicken itself is tasty as usual. it's Maxs so expect excellency, ALTHOUGH the fat part of the chicken is disturbing, t'was so oily. 128534 (i almost ate it) 128552

Chopsuey : 3

3 because there's a lot of red belt pepper & i'm not a fan of it. might as well recall the course as "red belt pepper chopsuey" or something. 128517

Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet : 5

I rate it 5, because out of the 4 main courses, this is my fav. the sweetness of the fish is quite right & it's also crispy. (my kinda fish fillet128523)

Sinigang na Tiyan ng Bangus : 4

Rate it 4 although i didn't taste it, as the empty bowl speaks to me. my parents loved it. 128077

Buko Pandan : 4

4 because it's delish although it's kinda "malapot" on the mouth, the buko & gulaman are equally distributed unlike the 'others' 128554

overall i rate it 4, the ambience ✔️ main courses✔️ i love this place. i've been here wth my fam a lot of times so it's not a new place for me to foodtrip with.
i recommended it for 'where-should-we-eat-when-sunday-family-day" kinda day. 128131

After Kamameshi yesterday, had to take some dessert at Max's next door. Yummy ube ensaymada with brewed coffee. Perfect comfort food to end all semi-bad mornings. Haha.

Of course, had to take home a whole spring chicken for the family which was still yummy for dinner yesterday. Nothing compares to Max's spring chicken. I can eat that everyday.

I missed bringing home the choco loaf, though (fave good-priced choco cake next to Tapa King's). They ran out. :(

Service staff was excellent! Very pleasant and accommodating to my dessert inquiries.

Aldo, surprise, surprise... Max's Elliptical has a wee meeting room which you can reserve ahead of time. Interesting. Check out the photo I have attached. Cool. Maybe I will ask for a workshop design meeting here some time. Nice.
