No photo, he actually asked about it, and casually told him that he was too eager to eat then. We got my favorite sizzling tofu, and he craved for nilagang baka. Too full. Plus oh, that branch is open for 24hrs now, but still on a trial period.

Gave in to the tofu craving tonight and ordered the sizzling tofu for PhP199. Sarap! It's good for two already. Added the fried lumpiang ubod for PhP70. Actually, went to eat here for the fried lumpia. Hahaha.

Let me just say that we went here because Outlook servers were down in the office so we had time to spare. We were in and out in 30-40mins. #defensive 128519

Anyway! Max's merienda combination! For Php95 you can choose pansit luglog or canton or their triple chocolate champorado (+) cheese bread or pan de macapuno or Spanish roll (+) your drink of soda, iced tea, brewed coffee or sago't gulaman.

My friend and I went for champorado + cheese bread + sago't gulaman and luglog + Spanish bread + sago't gulaman combinations. The Php95 is net already - no service charge or other tax.

The bread is not small and the serving of the merienda dish is enough - enough to keep you full and not cursing your supposed diet. "Laboracay" is over now, go eat more champorado! Btw, their champorado is good! I wonder what chocolate they use. 128513

Good news: when we came back, the servers were fixed after a few minutes. Perfect timing. 128514

My officemates & I decided to grab some breakfast at 7 in the morning. We didn't wanna end up in a fastfood chain so it's fortunate that Max's was already open! 128522

Ordered their Cheesy Cornedbeef Omelet for P155. It was the usual cornedbeef (i bet it was purefoods), with some cheese and egg. Nothing special actually 128529 I could've done this at home nalang. Haha!

I have fond memories of Max's Fries Chicken! There was a time that their fried chicken was the benchmark of what fried chicken should taste like. The meat was nice and juicy, though I was never fond of white meat, I thoroughly cherished my Max's Fried Chicken experience. It's sad that Max's Chicken isn't what it used to be. The chicken is dry and sometimes even tough! The price is at an all time high but they never maintained the quality. They have expanded their menu but I'm sure I can find a better quality Filipino restaurant at the same price or cheaper!

Max's is known for its fried chicken but their chicken barbecue is just lovely! It's juicy on the inside and sweet and tangy on the outside. Best eaten with java rice. The service of this branch is also so great, they're even accommodating enough to provide chairs while we're waiting to be seated! :-) Now that is service.

... friendly staff & service is quick! Food is the usual quality you'd expect from Max's. It could get crowded during lunch breaks, so try to come before noon or make reservation! =)
