Christmas vibes at Max's UPTC.

Went here 5 days ago with fam for Bonifacio day dinner. Had our favorite Max's platter, consists of quarter leg Max's fried chicken, pancit canton, rice, iced tea and free caramel bar for dessert.

This branch is always full and service was fast and they have wifi too.

Sarap to the bones!127831

Had my usual half spring chicken plate (it's the only chicken I'll eat here)... the crab and corn soup was a pleasant surprise (usually the soup is blah). Wait staff was fast and helpful. After receiving a suggestion to grab a cup of coffee, I decided..ok! I'll have one. Good surprise came with the coffee -- a biscotti looking thing. The brewed coffee was soothing and taste was good. The biscotti was... well, they found a new way of recycling overdone caramel bars. :) not a bad idea to manage waste and also to give a sweet surprise to coffee lovers. Better to have brewed coffee here than other designer cafes that cost an arm and a leg!

One of our favorite dining place in UPTC. Went here last Saturday after a Parent's Orientation from my son's school. We had our lunch here together with my two boys. We had basic meal and platter meal. Platter comes with quarter leg chicken , rice, pancit canton and our favorite Maxs caramel bar.

This time we tried their new adobo rice and it has some sliced boiled egg on top. Serving was generous and the adobo rice was good. Our tummies was full that afternoon.

Service was a bit slow that day. They have wifi here.

Went to UP Town Center with my boys last Saturday afternoon and before going home we decided to go to Maxs inside UPTC mall for merienda. My son got the basic meal , chicken with rice , caramel bar and drinks while hubby and I bought pick from their merienda meals, we got that pancit luglug/ palabok.

This is the first time we ordered pancit luglug ala carte. What makes it delicious is that it has lechon kawali as toppings, I liked it but downside is service was to slow, not like before the service was fast, they have wifi here by the way .

After my son GK last activity last Saturday, hubby fetched us at my son school and went straight to UPTC. We had a hard time on deciding where to eat and I suggested to them to go to Maxs.

We've been here twice or thrice already. The place was full when we arrived but we got a seats right away. I love this Maxs branch. The place was big, neat and has fast service. We ordered their platter meal. This is our favorite Maxs combo meal. Quarter leg chicken with pancit , rice, caramel bar and iced tea. The staffs here were consistently accommodating , courteous. They have fast wifi connection too128077

So we ordered the regular chicken which looks like spring, the sizzling tofu which was not sizzling and Kare Kare with the sauce looks like it has been diluted with water and I think it should be called Kare Kareng Gulay. The only good part with this dinner is the bottomless sago at hula man and service was good.

Max's is a solid Filipino spot with good food at amazing prices. You can come here and order your own dish, but I believe the best experience here is to go family style and share.

The pork dishes here really shine. My favorite would have to be the Crispy Pata (deep-fried Pork Knuckle), which is a sizeable piece. You get a great contrast with a crispy fried exterior, and very juicy and tender meat inside. The Tofu Sisig is a solid appetizer too. Everything was full of flavor but not overwhelming.

Lots of people try Lumpiang Shanghai when they go to Filipino restaurants, and that's probably because it is accessible. It is a lot like egg roll or spring roll so nobody is scared off. I've said previously that I don't usually like other people's Lumpia because it isn't as good as what my Lola makes and, that still holds, but, Max's is the best second option to my Lola's homemade variety.

On top of that, Max's Restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and offers quick service. For its tasty dishes and extensive menu, I will definitely be back shortly.

Cheers,
Mickey

We were their 2nd customers for today! We wanted to eat something that would make our tummy happy. Alas, Max's! My all-time favorite 10084๏ธ

Their chicken never fails to satisfy my cravings. Sarap to the bones talaga. It's all natural- no breading, batter, name it the typical fried chicken you see in fast food chains.

It also comes with a caramel bar, and as always, this is the only caramel bar I've appreciated because it's soft and the sweetness is just right.

Happy happy happy tummy yehey ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™ƒ

It was a Sunday and as expected, restaurants at UP Town Center was packed once more.

Luckily, there was a dependable restaurant available that did not need to wait hours to be seated...Max's Restaurant.

I have always liked Max's Restaurant because they have delicious fried chicken and other Filipino dishes like Sinigang, Kare-Kare, and Sizzling Tofu.

When I first tried their Sizzling Tofu several years back, I instantly loved it. I never thought tofu could taste this could.

Last Sunday, we ordered Sizzling Tofu. When I made my first bite after a long time, I got disappointed. It was not the same anymore. It was very dry and it lacked taste.

Not just the tofu I got disappointed with, even their Fried Chicken was a bit dry.

Overall, we were not happy with our meal. I don't know if it was because there were so many customers that it compromised the quality of their food. Still, I think they should do something about this especially that restaurants tend to be crowded during the weekend. If they want to keep up with the other new restaurants within the vicinity, they should know how to adjust.

Went to UP Towncenter last Saturday afternoon for Xmas Shopping then we had our dinner at the newly opened Maxs Restaurant. Most of restaurants at UPTC are full so glad that this big Maxs is not yet crowded.

We were seated in a couch then we had three platter meal which is our favorite. It comes up with pancit canton, quarter leg part then rice, caramel bar for dessert and iced tea while kids just have basic meal.

Service was so fast, and their manager was so accommodating. The Maxs fried chicken is so good127831 sarap to the bones. They have wifi here and function room. They have their own restroom not like other resto in UPTC that you need to go out pa.
