With its imposing wooden, carved wooden doors and chandeliers, it feels like you're entering a Mexican villa. The friendly attendant talked about the menu, and suggested that I try their various fajitas or burritos. But since the friend I wanted to meet there cancelled at the last minute, I decided to get a lighter meal, the chicken chipotle flour taco (tinga de pollo). Alas, they ran out of corn tortilla, which I prefer over flour. But never mind.

Well, I just had the best taco of my life. I kid you not. 10084️🌮 Fresh cilantro, beets and the best chipotle chicken combo. The sauce is also spicy-sweet and very good! Please open a branch in Manila, because this is definitely crave-worthy. I would book a flight to Cebu just to eat here!!

I also ordered a mojito, which is a perfect way to celebrate this lovely restaurant. I'm glad I discovered it, and I'll definitely come back here!

Lestat, where art thou?

Candle-lit ceiling lamps, a two-door entrance heavily engraved with details, mirrors instead of walls, an array of skulls adjacent to the high ceiling, and the strange echo of laughter from the hidden side of the loft.

Overflowing drinks for a price, choose your poison if you must.

Nachos and quesadilla, for a light treat. Not the best but still satisfies your craving for cheese and salsa. Too many beans thrown, I suppose and lacking zest and tangy taco spice.

LOOve,
B

MIND-BLOWING MODERN MEXICAN CUISINE - skip the usual places when you're in town and go book a table at Maya ASAP! Nothing beats mexican food done right...and the folks at Abaca certainly know what they're doing when they put this concept up!

TACOS ALA POBRE (pictured)- if you've not had a life-changing culinary experience I highly suggest you have a bite (or 20) of these tacos! The pork was probably marinated in magic sauce because every bite was a different burst of flavor in my mouth! Truly a masterpiece that should not be missed!

CHEESE QUESADILLA - Perfect blend of cheeses in every gooey bite! Slather on that salsa to balance the heavy cheese flavors and finish while it's hot and gooey!

PORK ENCHILADAS - In Mexican Cuisine, pork is always so perfectly spiced, Maya's enchiladas were no exception! Buried under mounds of corn tortilla, refried beans and sour cream is the most tender bed of shredded pork meat that practically melts in your mouth! A note to small stomachs - this dish is humongous! Order to share or if you have a really big appetite

SANGRIA - nice surprise to find pineapple and mangoes in their sangria but as a Self-proclaimed sangria connoisseur, I have to berate them for serving a non-aged sangria! Then again I have yet to find a restaurant that does that...

Overall Experience? BEST MEXICAN in the PHILIPPINES. Hands down!

First time to visit a mexican resto with this fine dining vibe. The place is candle lit dark with nice skull head design in the wall. A little bit gothic128520 cool. Their menu are also has that tattoo art another 128077.
I ordered their Chiptole Chicken Enchiladas and Maya Margaritas. The enchiladas was a tortilla wrap chicken, cheese topped with their salsa sauce. It taste good with a hint of spiciness. The beans siding was also delicious. If you are craving for mexican food this is the place. And definitely the best mexican resto in the Philippines hope they upon a branch in manila.

This is one of my favorite places in Cebu! I love the ambiance and the steady vibe of the 2 floor Resto. It has a nice lounge area with couches for when you want to have drinks after dinner. Mojitos and margaritas on Mondays are only P65!

Food is also good! We ordered their shrimp salad, tacos and vegetarian nachos. They have a lot on their menu that I still want to try but so il definitely be going back there again.

Went to Maya for dinner on our first day in Cebu. We were on vacation and from the beach so we actually dressed down in shorts and slippers apparently Maya is one of the nice restaurants in Cebu.

We ordered nachos for appetizer which was good. I ordered beef fajitas for my main course. They were generous with their servings an order of fajitas can be shared by two. The beef was cooked perfectly and was tender. Cocktail drinks are good and affordable too. :)

What was supposed to be a dive trip ended up with whaleshark watching & foodtripping. Jacy L & friends wanted to dive but due to the lack of time, we ditched that plan.

It was so nice to come back to Cebu after so many years. A lot has changed since the last time I was here. So when we got back to the city coming from Oslob, we decided to go to Maya's to eat dinner. It is one of the hip & happening places here. There are lots of choices on the fillings of your burrito, taco, fajita, etc. plus, the drinks were pretty cheap too!

Got to meet up with an old Cebuana friend & her friends as well! Cheers!

Perfect place to chill and enjoy a glass of wine in Cebu ( between 300-400 pesos). Beautiful interior. We went on a Sunday night so there was no party crowd but we enjoyed the ambience and music!

Their service was exceptional. The waiters / waitresses would proactively check on our table for what we need. It seemed Like they were reading our mind. That's something all Manila restos should pick up on.

We tried the nachos, fries and crispy pork. Food was ok but a little pricey for the taste. A good chunk better end up with the servers because id rather pay the premium for the service than the food here. Ambiance is classy and semi-formal. The place turns into a bar at night by dimming the lights.

Be ready to shell out 500 bux for a full meal (that's with a non-alcoholic drink). Beers are 95 bux.

I thought I'll never get the chance to try Maya as my Cebu trips are always packed with meetings. Finally I had my chance when hubdubs and I went to meet a friend for a night cap.

This being Cebu... the Mecca of good furniture here in the country... The interiors did not disappoint. Love the modern Mexican vibe. The skull candies on the wall was a real scene stealer.

Such a pity as we only had the nachos when the entire menu was tempting. Don't get me wrong though. We enjoyed the nachos. It was loaded with chili con carne and jalapeños (yum!).

Lastly, service was awesome. The servers were very accommodating. True cebuano hospitality I must say :)

Definitely coming back.
