Concept is similar to Meat Plus in Subic. You choose your steak/meat from the chiller, have it grilled your way, choose sauce & sidings.

Meat selection is limited and not as extensive. But was ok. Steak was cooked just the way I wanted it, mushroom gravy at the side.

It is a semi self-service style, they only serve your food, the rest you do yourself (order and pay at the counter, water station, utensils station).

It can get smoky in the dining area and you'll end up reeking of smoke 128078🏻. Not good if you have plans after (like me).

Parking available in front of the resto and at the basement.

We were invited to celebrate the birthday of a good good friend - who quite obviously was a meat lover. 128515

I've heard of Meat Depot already in BF Homes but never got to try it since we live in the North, it was nice of them to open in the Banawe area so it's now more accessible.

What's so special? Steak that's affordable and the value for money is tough to beat. Pictured is my Angus rib-eye steak, I had it made to medium and pleasantly surprised that they know how to cook their meat!

You choose your steak cut from the chiller according to how big you like it. On the chiller, I saw cuts of striploin, porterhouse cuts, salmon, marinated pork chops, etc. - they even had chicharon bulaklak. Heart attack!

After choosing, you fill out a small sheet of paper where you put your sauce preference, the side dish - and how you want your steak done. Then off you go to the cashier to pay.

Why I say it's value for money? There were 8 of us eating, the bill ended up "just" Php3,800. It wasn't just each person having steak and the side, some ordered mushroom soup bowls and soft drinks in cans.

My steak in particular including the side dish, the mushroom soup plus the cooking charge came out to Php670. Not bad at all! It wouldn't have mattered being cheap if the steak was bad - but this was cooked nicely, meat was tender and tasty.

We couldn't help buying some raw meat while we were on the way home, so got some corned beef, salmon cuts, etc. they sell since it's a meat-shop below the restaurant. Something tells me I will be back in the place sooner than later!

For fathers day we celebrated I suggested to have steak dinner here instead of Alfredo's again. Just for a change and I really want my family to experience some of my food adventure in the south.

Meat Depot a BF Original have opened their store in Banawe QC with the same wholesale/diner meatshop concept. This qc branch is a lot bigger with 2 floors but their ref for diners was very small. It was quite crowded when looking for the meat of your choice. Parking was also a problem in this branch expect to be called out every now and then since a car need to exit.

Aside from the ref and parking everything was still a great experience. What I like most with MeatDepot is you get to choose the meat with lesser fat and just the right size for your appetite. Cooking service was also quick.

Form the meat choices I went for an Angus RibEye medium rare with their delicious pepper gravy. I love the meat that I was able to get it has great marbling and was very tender. The salmon order of my mom was also good perfectly cook soft and the cream sauce was so good.

Overall MeatDepot is really a good bargain deal for your steak craving.

Learned something new that the red juice from steak are not really blood but myogoblin. Its the substance that makes blood color red. Wow thanks for that trivia MeatDepot!

Dry aged Ribeye and Japanese Wagyu Beef for the win! A little bit pricey but worth it! Super juicy, tender, tasty and yummmmmmmmyyyyyyyy!!!!!
1st step.. Go to the chiller and choose your steak, pork or fish.
2nd step.. Choose your side dish (rice, mashed potato or fries) and sauce(mushroom sauce, cream sauce or spicy pepper sauce)
3rd step.. Let them cook your meat. Pay.
4th step.. Get your utensils and condiments
5th step.. Get your cooked meat... It will be done in just about 10 minutes!
Super fast and great service!
Nothing fancy.. If you are looking for a simple place just to fill up ur tummy then this is the perfect place!

I was able to try their Chicharitos the other day and I must say, very few things, including fancy & pretentious "fine" food beats freshly cooked pork rinds.

It actually looked tiny in the shelf, just tiny chunks in a small plastic bag. Lo and behold it turns into this huge platter of goodness.

Meat here. Meat there. Meat everywhere.

This cool concept meat shop-dining is the newest addition to the chinese banawe strip.

1. Choose your meat. Base price of your meat is seen there already. What you see is what you get.

2. Answer the self service checklist wherein you input the details of your meat, you'd given a choice of how well you want your meat to be cooked, your choice of sauce (spicy pepper, mushroom gravy or cream sauce) choice of sides: mash, rice or fries and your choice of drink (sodas, beer, wine)

3. Pay what you get plus additional charge of 100 pesos for cooking fee.

4. Wait for your name to be called.

I chose lamb. It was the last packet luckily. Really affordable, 5 chops is 249 pesos! Plus additional 100 pesos.. Where can you have lamb 349 pesos??!
The mushroom gravy was good with the lamb,
Their rice is fluffy and pleasant. Hindi amoy ipis or tupperware.
I had my lamb chops medium rare
No mint jelly! 128515

My order came out within 10 minutes. Ang bilis!
Now, line is starting to build up, smoke is bit heavy in the main dining hall.. I suggest you go to the other side of the hall wherein there's less smoke.

Tadaa
The lamb looks ordinary, however the taste was good. Super soft cause it's medium rare. And i did not taste the lamb's pungeant aftertaste... Just a little bit near the bones.. I shared it with my friends and they agreed that i did a good choice!

Well, the bacon and salmon.. You cant go wrong with that order as well..
As for the tapa and roast beef.. I suggest dont go well done cause it's gonna be tough.
Striploin on the other hand... Always tough. We had it first medium rare..

You could go for wagyu if you got extra gold. 128516

Overall i love the concept. And chinese pips here in banawe are quite welcoming meat depot.

The only time to eat diet food is while waiting for your steak to cook-- Julia Childs128515

She has a point... I'm a sucker for a good piece of steak!128525 I was pretty happy when I saw Julie J's review of Meat Depot's second branch... So on a Payday Friday, my bf and I opted to stay in the area rather than braving the bumper to bumper traffic...

It was a big space, three floors in all... Very clean and industrial... Much like the hip restos in the meat packing district... The first floor is devoted to the meat section for takeout and they have good selection! From ox tripe and kalitiran to cheese sausages and Angus tenderloin, they have it! They even have batutai longganisa, for those so inclined...

We ascended to their main dining area in the second floor... The ordering process was a bit confusing at first... The staff did point us out to the small freezer on one side of the room... It held steaks, fish, ribs, and chicharones... The steaks were more expensive than some of the ones displayed downstairs... It's a self-service kind of place btw, but they have the utensils and the condiments laid out neatly...

Follow these simple steps:

1) Choose your meat
2) Fill up the form: with your name, preferred doneness of your meat, choice of side & sauce, plus any add-ons you may want
3) Pay for your order & eat diet food while you wait 128514
4) Get your order at the counter as your number is called
5) Enjoy your order!128525

Whichever kind of meat you choose, you have to add a P100 cooking fee... We each tried their ribeye and shared a platter of chicharones... The chicharones was sooooo good, freshly fried with matching popping sounds pa when we got it! Try this when you drop by!128077

I wanted my steak medium while my bf prefers his well done... It was disappointing when my steak was undercooked, I had to send it back... But the spicy pepper sauce was pretty good!128588 I suggest you get the mashed potatoes rather than the fries, just because of the serving size...

Funny thing was maybe half of their many customers were my bf's co-residents... The place became popular pretty fast... Because a place serving a good piece of steak is like a beacon to hungry men... Satisfied customers here!128522

We also couldn't leave without buying a couple of ribeyes and sausages to cook at home! Yey!128077

When I heard Meat Depot opened up a branch in Banawe, I immediately wanted to try it out because i've been hearing wonderful stories about it. SADLY, the food was overhyped. The consumer journey begins with you actually picking out the piece of meat you want from their refrigerator. It's actually like a glorified "paluto" style restaurant. After you pick your meat, you will then be asked to fill in some information on a piece of paper that they will provide (name, how you would like your meat cooked, sauce of choice, etc). Afterwards, you will be given a number and they will call you out as soon as your order is ready

Now for the food itself, the chicharon bulaklak we ordered was good. It was freshly cooked and hey, coming from a family that loves the dish, it didn't disappoint. The real issue we encountered was their main courses. First of all, everything was bland. My porterhouse, my mom's ribs, and my aunt's tenderloin were all bland. Their mushroom sauce was good, but the meat couldn't stand on its own. Another issue for me was how my meat was cooked. I asked it to be done medium rare, but it came out as well-done instead. I didn't bother having it changed because of the hassle, but of course it still disappointed me. In terms of the service, price, and ambiance, there were no problems at all, but even so, the bottomline is still how the food tastes.

Meat Depot is a wholesale & retail meat shop that first opened in BF Paranaque. It's also a restaurant where you can choose your meat and have them cook it for you @100 service fee per dish. An ideal place for Steak lovers like me 128046 I am so happy they opened a branch in QC. 128525

Their local beef comes from Batangas and the pork from Bulacan. There's also a wide array of imported meat to choose from. Each slab is vacuum sealed and labeled accordingly (meat part, price and weight). The place is spiffy clean and brightly lit.

If you choose to dine in, their diner is on the 2nd floor, it's self service all throughout...

Step 1 : Choose your meat from their display
(Beef, Pork, Lamb, Fish even chicharon Bulaklak)

Step 2 : Choose the doneness

Step 3 : Choose your. Side and sauce
(Mashed Potato, Fries or Rice)
(Mushroom gravy, Spicy Peppercorn, Cream sauce)

Proceed to the cashier to pay & you'll be given a claim number 128522

I tried a smaller cut of local tenderloin done rare with mushroom gravy and fries on the side. Overall it tasted good, except for some parts that were a bit tough and chewy, probably should've gotten the imported meat 128514128513 the gravy was delicious though!

The Chicharon Bulaklak was really good too 128077🏼 Definitely coming back! LIPITOR Please 128538
