Angus steak is at 40% off! Soo good!
Uhm, their complimentary soup was watery.

Very nice place. Service is really good! Best of all -
Loved their Wagyu with Foie Gras in Truffle sauce.

It took quite a long time for the steak to be served, even if we ordered salad and soup.

But, the steak did not disappoint. So, generally, waiting for the steak wasn't much of a bother. :)

Food is good though the place looks neglected. Lots of mosquitoes, there were ants crawling on our table. There was a fly caught between my table napkin. For a place that isn't cheap, their menu needs an upgrade.

500g angus ribeye steak, good for 3-4 pax offer until March 31. Tender meat, juicy. Served with onion soup, Wagyu rice and veggies. For P2,100, a good deal.

Still the best steak place in the area ... if price is not much of issue. But they don't serve the deep-fried fat like they do in the former Jupiter branch.

Given the prices of the dishes at Melo's, I wouldn't eat at the place without any occasion to celebrate. Since tonight was one of those nights, we gave it a try.

I have to first mention the complimentary bread. It was so soft and creamy, I asked for another piece! It was like soft ensaymada without the cheese and butter! Yumm. That was definitely a simple but great start to our meal. We continued with Rockafeller Oysters which were slightly disappointing - a bit too sour and the cheese tasted like Quickmelt.

For our main course, we had Ribeye Wagyu with Cream Truffle Oil Farfalle. This came with soup and salad. The onion soup was ordinary and the Caesar salad wasn't that great, but none of that mattered when the Wagyu arrived. Before I get into the Wagyu details, I have to say the pasta was a great dish on its own. It lacked a bit of cheeziness but the truffle was just right. And now, back to the star of the show.. 8oz of perfectly marbled, oozingly juicy and laway-triggering Grade 6 Ribeye Wagyu. After my first bite all I could say was "Wow". And all i could think was, "So THIS is what I've been missing out on". The main course alone was P2,300, but well worth it. It helped that the staff was extra-attentive too.

Steak- sidenote:
They also have options for Grade 8 and Grade 12 beef, but the marbling of Grade 6 was just right for me. I don't like my steak too fatty.

Oh, you didn't think this family would let Casa Marcos have the last say in steak experience, no? Of course we HAD TO GO TO MELO'S! And I, for one, am glad we did.

1. Food. Just look at the picture, compare it to the Casa Marcos one. Faaaaaaarrrr from it. I got the US Angus Ribeye for P150/oz. (Wagyu Ribeye sells for P225/oz.)

I had mine Medium, it was goooood. Steak was soft and full of flavor. I ate it as is. Their mashed potato was surprisingly really good, too. I wasn't about to touch it because I was busy with my Ribeye but my daughter wanted a bite so I tasted it first. WOW. I mean, it never crossed my mind how mashed potato can change your steak experience. harhar.

My husband's Blue, was probably the best. Isa pa yan. I never thought of getting a blue steak because the thought of a Rare one makes me cringe. But this one!!! It's like eating Beef Sashimi! NO BLOOD AT ALL! I loved the smoothness I felt as I took a bite of the blue. Wow.

The bread was UNLI. FU, CM!

2. Ambiance. Fancy kung fancy. I loved it.

3. Service was over the top! They attended to us really well. No "irita" moment.

Oh, plus we got 25% discount on our bill! HANEP LANG!

Steak craving: Highly Satisfied!

We love you, Melo's! (Melo's is the new Casa Marcos)

Went to Melos to celebrate my wifey's birthday. It's a bit pricey though but it's all worth it. The food was really great. The meat was really tender & the service is commendable.

Great Steak! Mojito was a bit strong but the Manager was kind enough to fix it for us.. I liked my overall experience here at Melo's Alabang Westgate branch.

Steak was superb! Vegetables and shrimp were very fresh and were cooked excellently as well. The menu looks a bit ugly though for such a nice place.
