Mozzarella nibblers - nothing to write home about. Medium rare Chuck Eye with mashed potatoes & buttered veggies - chuck eye was juicy and full of flavor along with the mashed potatoes; could've done without the veggies which were likely days old already, limp amd chewy.

I guess I've been too spoiled with restaurants in the U.S. in which serving sizes are fairly large. So it is to my dismay that I only give Melt 3 stars.

I cannot take anything away from Melt's menu, because overall the food is good. At first look at their main entree menu, you can see that their food is very reasonably priced, but once served, you would think that the portions would be a little larger for the price you are paying. Maybe the price of beef, salmon and lamb are high, or that being located in John Hay's Technohub dictates their prices. Who know?!?!

But let's stray away from my rant, and concentrate on what's more important--the food!

Again, the food is good!!! 128513 Having this establishment is wonderful for Baguio. It lets locals get a taste of what I grew eating--grilled steaks.

By far my favorite dishes on their menu is their Hanging Tender in Smoked Apple Marinate, and Chuck Eye Steak. The beef used are USDA choice cuts, which means that the meat will be guaranteed more tender than what locals are accustomed to eating. Each bite taken is succulent and bursts with flavor, depending on how you want your steak cooked. In that case, I suggest ordering steaks medium rare, nothing more. Anymore cooking time leads to a dry steak.

Their N.Y. Buffalo Wings w/ Blue Cheese Dressing is a go-to for me. The wings are timely cooked to where the chicken remains juicy. I do wish more blue cheese was incorporated in their dressing to give a more creamy texture. I can't complain about it too much, since dressing is good.

Other dishes on the menu like their Panizza and Truffled Salmon Fettuccine is good as well.

Though my complaint is that of my opinion, I will still continue to visit this establishment.

That 128070 is a kare kare without sauce. It is not my usual kare kare as my favorites are from Romulos and Lorenzos way's which are both have excellent peanut flavored sauce.

I thought I'm not gonna appreciate this but I'm wrong. The pork is perfectly roasted same goes with the veggies and the slight lingering taste of kare kare is beneath those slices of pork that even in just small portion you can still taste the peanut and with the sweet and salty taste of the bagoong. Wow.

(≧∇≦)/ Not bad.. Nothing special either. The frozen angus ribeye steak I buy from SM Supermarket is much better haha! The presentation was great though. It's pricey but I wasnt disappointed so it's ok. I'll come back to try to cheaper food in their menu. 128523

Hidden in an obscure corner of Ayalaland Technohub in Camp John Hay, you can avoid the crowd and save a little extra for the after dinner coffee. Pasta is always a safe order for me if I want to try a place for the first time, and Melt doesn't disappoint. Both the salmon truffle fettuccini and short ribs mac three cheese are so tasty they'll make you wonder if their angus beef would give you a comatose. That'll have to wait until my next visit.
