This cute resto is owned by the family of jolina magdangal. i love the front porch and the interiors but i think the grass and plants around need gardening already. The food tastes good too. 🤗

I've discovered this restaurant from one of my facebook friends' post and it captured my attention because of how cozy and nice the place looks, that type of instagram-worthy type of resto look. So my boyfriend and I planned to have our lunch date here before going to church.

The place is small and quiet and we were the only customer when we went there. So when they handed us the menu, we noticed that the all the food are pricey but didn't complain since we were expecting that the price will be at par with the taste and quality of the food. We ordered spaghetti, carbonara and a slice of cake and our bill is Php1,100. What's worse is that the serving is too small and it tastes ordinary. We really can't get over it that day that we keep on bringing up to each other how much we hated the place and that we should've spent our money elsewhere. But that's a lesson learned and we hope others won't experience the same. Looks can be deceiving. :)

The place was the only good thing about this restaurant. The price was overrated while the food is so bland they made our tastebuds cringe. We ordered:
Tasty Cheesesticks- Damn those aren't even tasty.
Mom homemade spaghetti- proved that my mom is a better cook.
Potato Wedges with cheese sauce and bacon bits- Cheese sauce or cheez whiz?

I'd rather eat at a "karinderia" than spend money on supposedly restaurant quality dishes that actually sucked. 128078🏼128078🏼128078🏼128078🏼128078🏼128078🏼128078🏼

Food: We ordered Bulalo, Baby back ribs, Daing and Daing na bangus. Bulalo was ok, meat was tender but it was kinda salty for me when i got my 3rd cup of sabaw hehe. Baby back ribs was kind big and somehow worth the price and daing na bangus was good! :)

Service: Although it took 30 mins for the food to be served, the staff were friendly and attentive. They always made sure that our pitcher of water was always filled.

Picture top left to right: mom's prune homemade pudding with ice cream topping, tasty cheese sticks, mom home cooked spaghetti and aligue pasta.
To start off with the review, the ambiance is good, I like the feel of a country home and the pastel color. I also love the 50's & 60's design inside the house (sorry guys i wasn't able to add it cause it will add up to the photo's space and food picture will be too small to see)..that's it with the overall design but in terms of food and menu they served i think they should live to the expectation of the place name "Memory Lane" which i believe the food they served here should be unforgettable. As for me, I did not taste anything specials in the food we order. Pasta is blunt and over cooked, price is overrated considering it's just a small serving. Cheesticks is not tasty as well as being said in the menu, those we buy in the carinderia is much better. The only thing I like is the prune pudding, which for me has a distinct taste. I hope they could improve the taste of the food they served to make people really say it's a "Memory Lane"

It's been awhile since I made a food review 128540 busy eating. Lol!

We ordered
- cheese sticks (160pesos)
- potato salad
- potato wedges
- sizzling bulalo steak
- baby back ribs (server said it's their specialty)

Food:
2-stars
▶️ Nothing special with the cheese sticks for its 160peso price. Their potato salad tastes like the one in Max's resto. While their potato wedges are too salty. For the main course, both sizzling bulalo steak and baby back ribs tastes fine (malambot naman).
▶️ plain rice was served undercooked

Service:
3-stars
▶️ We're the 2nd guests to arrive, and they served the main course within 30mins
▶️ There were 2 server plus cashier (Jolina Magdangal's sister)
▶️ Jolina's parents roam around to check

Ambiance
5-stars
▶️ I surely love the place, picture perfect! 128149 Dun lang ata ako natuwa 128540

Soggy potato wedges or fries yata yun. Mas masarap pa yung gulaman at sago sa kalye kaysa sa black gulaman nila. Mahal na, wala pang kwenta ang service. Tinatamad waiters nila.

Come here for the ambience... But that's about it.

We heard about this place from Reg's officemates, who said that they really liked the place. So we decided to go visit for ourselves.

Problem 1: We got lost looking for Memory Lane since there are almost no signs pointing to it. We had to ask three locals who pointed us in almost three different directions, and it didn't help that we were hungry! Eventually we did find it though, after making several trips to and from the rotonda.

Problem 2: they had a parking fee of 100 pesos (deductible from your bill if you order or purchase anything in-store). I understand though that this might be their way of preventing people from parking, coming in, taking pictures and leaving without buying anything.

We looked at their menus, and their staff suggested we have their house special: Baby Back Ribs. The ribs themselves were admittedly pretty good. The meat was relatively soft and flavorful, and the sauce had a nice tang to it.

Problem 3: The potatoes that came with this were TERRIBLE. They actually even tasted like chemicals, probably due to old cooking oil being reused. All in all this cost about 450, which is a bit pricey, especially for the serving size, and the quality of food you get.

We also ordered a Red Velvet cupcake, which was so-so. Not really something to write home about. This cost (I think) 100+, and was not worth it.

Where Memory Lane redeems itself (somewhat) is in its ambience. The restaurant/spa is decorated like a 60s diner with memorabilia of old movies, old record albums and advertisements for soda and beer. They even have a jukebox (that hides speakers connected to an iPod)! The place does manage to elicit some form of nostalgia, so I suppose it's somewhat successful in that regard.

Overall, I really don't feel like it was worth the effort to come find Memory Lane, and the food feels overpriced, especially with the quality that you get. If you must visit, try not to park there to avoid the fees, and take lots of pictures.

Trivia: I read that this place is owned by Jolina Magdangal, and I think her sister is there to run the place.

The interiors were super cute and the service was good. But the food was terrible. It was bland and unforgettable.

We thought maybe it was a one time thing. But a repeat visit still confirmed our first impression.

It's ironic that their name is Memory Lane when you just want to erase it from your memory.

The place was rustic. The food was so-so... We had a burger a couple of orders of pancakes with bacon strips and some carbonara. I figured, you can't mess up with an order as simple as that, right? Well... The pasta was a little cold, one of the pancakes was a wee bit burnt and the bacon strips were just "a strip"... And the price was a little on the expensive side, for what we got, that is... So there. My advice? Eat somewhere else then have coffee and a look see at Memory Lane...btw, I haven't tried their coffee, so I don't know if its good either. :-)
