Bumisita ako doon sa gabi. May kaunting tao kaysa sa tanghalian pero crowded pa.

Kumain ako ng Miso Ramen na may tsili. The broth strongly reminded me of kare-kare. Malapot at peanuty. Pieces of pork were smoky as usual, which is nice. Overall, I wouldn't say it's my favourite ramen there kasi ang kare-kare ay supreme. It's not bad but I won't order it again.

The service was good but even at night they want to get rid of you ASAP, pouring water for you and cleaning up just when you finished. Hindi ko gusto iyon.

I've been a fan of Mendokoro since 2015 and I am one of those who would eat here not on a regular basis but more of I do wanna treat myself for a job well done.

For me, Mendokoro Ramenba is one of the hidden gems of Makati. It maybe situated on a small nook at the back of an office building, but the crowd is unstoppable. They are willing to wait just to be able to have a taste of the Number 1 Ramen in town.

My favorite is the Shio Ramen. But all of their ramen is rich and generous in flavor and not mention, tasteful broth.

Superb! I’ve been around the metro and have tried most ramen joints, but the broth, the texture, the taste, and the quality of the noodles remain superior here. Mendokoro’s ramen bowls are immortal. The servers are attentive and the place, as stuffy as it can get, is cozy when you get seated at the arc bar. There’s no other thing to do but focus on enjoying your ramen and a chat with your companions.

Up early on a Saturday for noods! We were the first ones in line and immediately got seated and served.

Ordered gyoza and Shoyu, both of which never fails to deliver. The creamy broth is flavorful and rich but never cloying, and the chasu is an umami bomb which is always perfectly seasoned and charred. Still and unisputedly the best ramen place in the metro for me!

Finally got to try Mendokoro and it was love at first taste 10084

We tried
1 Ebi Tonkotsu
2 Super Chasu

Off their secret menu

And added a side of Gyoza

Pricey indeed but once in a while you gotta treat yourself to one of these truely flavorful ramen

EBI TONKOTSU is a seafood ramen, the soup is a very yummy shrimp flavor with shrimp, crab stick, squid rings toppings.
Very creamy soup and the noodles are rich and chewy

SUPER CHASU is topped with grilled pork that's tender. With a soy sauce base

Over all perfect. Just come very early. Or for a very late lunch to avoid a long wait

Another ramen place to die for! We went there at around 11AM on a Saturday and was able to eat at 2PM. What a line! Nonetheless, its a quality kind of ramen.

We ordered Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen and I must say, it was so rich in taste. But the chashu was okay. Hehe. Didn't get a chance to order their secret menu, Super Chashu. We also had gyoza and it wasn't that good for me, compared to Ippudo.

Overall, I'll give it 4 stars. Good food but the line was too long that we had to wait for hours and made me a bit grumpy. Hehe

This ramen house is the best one yet! Would recommend the Shio for those who love their ramen salty and creamy and Tantanmen for those who love their ramen spicy & packed with flavour. If you’re up for their secret menu, try their Super Chashu — really worth the wait and price!

128149Date for Two: Karai Tokusei Tsukemen, Gyoza, Aji Tamago
128140Total: P720

Overall: No wonder there’s always a pack of people inside waiting to get seated, Mendokoro Ramenba is a gem of Makati. is a bit tough to reach yet that won’t stop the crowd. Best to go here around 2-4pm for a peaceful meal. Other than that, it’s a warzone. Haha! They only seat 20 persons inside, all facing the kitchen so everyone can see their meal freshly prepared right infront of them. All their foods are really tasty and heavy, one cannot finish the entire meal.

Value for money: Everything is too expensive but worth it. Mitsuyado Sei-Men is a better alternative for Tsukemen.

Bullseye Timing:
Arriving at 2:30pm on a weekday was just downright awesome! There was no line and a lot of dine-in space; I was with less than 10 other customers. I paid at the cashier and chose a seat, like a boss! I left a little passed 3:00pm and fewer seats were still available.

Food:
Reviews got me here so I tried the Shoyu Ramen. No regrets! It was aromatic with a slightly creamy broth and well-cooked noodles. The meat was extremely tender, juicy, and tasty; it actually couldn't have been cooked any better! Eating the noodles and meat alternately...they were just so enjoyable!

Service:
The staffers have fairly high energy so good vibes there. Refilling my service water was done instinctively and I appreciated the simple gesture of them opening the door for me on my way out.

Overall:
The quality of their ramen is comparable to the other good ramen restaurants of Metro Manila and even with Japan. Top-notch! Eating alone during off-peak hours was relaxing. I guess the only time I'd hesitate going here is during peak hours. But then again, I went here with an e-book ready so Haha! :)

Can’t help but crave for this ramen house because of the “U Pap Me I Pap U” issue that’s been buzzing around in social media. 128514

Went here last weekend, Saturday. Arrived at around 6PM and got seated around 8PM. 2 hours waiting time is still worth it, but of course would be happier if waiting time isn’t that long.

Good news is they are opening a new branch in BGC area hopefully by June! Not sure if she was a manager, but there was this super accommodating lady who attended to us and to other guests. First time that I saw her there. If I recall correctly, she mentioned that the new branch will be in RCBC Building in BGC. I surely will be one of the happiest because it’s nearer to boyfie’s place.

A month before, we went here to try their secret menus - Super Chasu and Seafood as I wasn’t able to try them during my first visit. Making a separate review for that hehe. Anyways, this time I made sure to order my own bowl of Tantanmen. I would normally only get a taste from boyfie’s as he only orders their Tantanmen every time we would go here.

Added of course their gyoza, aji tamago, and chasu slices!
Couldn’t be more satisfied! The broth was thick and tasty and I love it even more because the spiciness is tolerable for someone like me who isn’t a fan of spicy foods. For the first time I was able to finish my own bowl!!! Boyfie was surprised too that he even asked me, “Himala naubos mo yung sa’yo?” Me: 9786128522128525128523 haha!
I would normally give him half of bowl because the serving is too big for me. I easily feel stuffed because their noodle is thick, but don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining at all! Their Chasu is still good as ever same goes for their gyoza!

One thing I admire with Mendokoro is their staff. You wouldn’t see a single frown on their faces despite the number of customers they get especially on weekends. They are very courteous just like how a Japanese resto should be. 128149

I can’t waiiiiit for their BGC Branch to open, but hopefully I get to try their branch in Alabang first!

This is an excellent ramen restaurant and the proof is the long lines at meals time. But the wait is worth it, especially on cold rainy nights, when you just crave for something hot and spicy.

Tantanmen Tonkotsu Ramen (Php 440) is so flavorful. I like the spicy kick to it. Each sip of the broth, along with each bite of the noodles with the pork, is satisfying, just the way I like it. Noodles has just a right bite, perfectly cooked in an al dente way

Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (Php 410) is a bowl of slightly curly noodles, mushrooms, and a piece of chashu, all swimming in a nearly white broth, topped with sesame seeds and spring onions. First sip of that milky broth, i just wanted to keep quiet, and quietly savor my soup with noodles, and the chashu is soft and easy to cut with chopsticks.

Gyoza (Php 200) was heaven in a bite. It didn't feel overwhelmingly greasy or oily or too tasteful. It was the right amount of tastiness.

Serving size is huge so use the waiting time to build up an appetite. Reminds me of the ramen houses in japan. Will have to come back for some more to try the rest of the menu.

I wish they set up a shop somewhere in the North so that I don't need to travel too far just to get my fix of Mendokoro when I get my ramen cravings.

Go early, there's always a long line waiting because of so many customers especially peak hours.

Mendokoro Ramenba has been around for quite some time but it has been gaining a lot of attention lately. So much that people end up waiting HOURS (plural) just to get a seat. Even “dead hours” for lunch or dinner have a line. 128561

I set a lunch with my friend here at 11AM initially because I knew it was crazy from recent reviews. But she had a meeting until 12NOON so I had to go before and order for both of us if we wanted to get seated and have her back before lunch break was over.

11:36AM was what was printed on our ticket when I placed our orders. We were seated before 12:26PM since the food arrived at that time. Our order number was already in the 70’s after 36 mins of opening! 128561 Amazing!!!

Opted for the shoyu this time. Still amazing despite it not being the super chashu. The chashu is still packed with flavor. The broth is super rich and creamy!

I understand the greatness of Mendokoro and I’m glad that people are seeing that, but dang. They should open a new branch!
