Good happy space... cheap, fast option for dining right before you go down Tagaytay to Manila... windy second level (stay there... view of the lake)... death by bulalo, yummy sisig, crispy pata (panalo!), tawilis, grilled pusit, fish... ensaladang talong...usual Filipino fare but the Tagaytay cool weather always makes eating more fun here...!

Bill wasn't bad for the feast we had..! For a total of 10 people, our bill was only about 2k... with drinks, coffee and dessert...

Halo-halo was so-so... leche flan was divine.

Food
Typical. Nothing too special.

Service
A bit slow.

Cleanliness
Fair.

Price
Not worth it.

*The singing group is irritating! Especially the old man. Don't get me wrong, but the girl sings better.

Had brunch here. We ordered the silog combo plates (tapsilog, porksilog, etc.) Their porksilog was fatty but I liked it. My brother ordered tapsilog and I taste tested it and for me it was so-so however I'm not really a fan of tapa. The bulalo was tender and tastes like home however it is not at par with other famous bulalohans in Tagaytay. All in all this is an affordable alternative and with the view of Taal it becomes all worth it! 128077🏼

I'm back!! I've been away since im on vacation for the past 2 months and i missed looloo128513 Anyway, last night we decided to go to tagaytay for dinner but when we got there we really don't know where to eat then we spotted this bulaluhan tapsilogan and we all decided to give it a try. We seated on the kubo and ordered Special Bulalo, Beefsteak, Liempo, kare-kare and juices. We all love their bulalo, i can really taste the beef from the broth. Beefsteak was good too but not the typical with sour taste from calamansi/lemon, Kare-kare sucks i dont understand the taste its weird and the color was pale. Liempo was okay too and the juices they serve was canned. Overall it was a good meal specially the bulalo and prices was affordable. (Sorry no photo attached i was very hungry last night9996128513)

I'M BACK!!!! Only because I want to tell you how BAD the service was at this place. Bad is an understatement, let me say HORRIBLE. We feel bad for whoever owns this place.

So where should I start..

My friends and I have eaten here before. They really have good food in all honesty, but really lack in good service. This visit though was where we experienced the worst ever service.

Lets start off with our orders.. Large Bulalo, Sizzling Sisig and Tawilis.

The food was served fast. So fast that they served us our food not knowing we don't have any plates or anything else yet! Our bulalo ended up being cold by the time they gave us our plates.

So we let that go and ate like Kargadors.

When we were done, we asked for the bill.

So we waited... And waited... Followed up.. And waited... Waited again... And followed up... And waited again.

Until suddenly, a waitress stood next to our table, writing down our orders based on the empty plates and bowls on our tables. We figured out that they lost the order slip or receipt or whatever it was. (By that time, there were only two tables remaining at the roodtop area. My group, and a few people who just arrived.)

Take note. She just snuck her way to our table and started writing away without apologizing and letting us know what happened.

We were furious. What if we said we just went there to smoke? Or to make tambay? Or only ordered 1 piece of rice? We literally could have left the place without paying anything!

But we were honest enough to help the gal out to complete our list of orders.

A waiter then went upstairs, went straight to the table of the people who just arrived, handing over a bill.

For god's sake, there were only two tables with people there, and they still can't figure out who to hand over the bill to! No coordination whatsoever!

My friend Flip, flipped out and asked for a manager.

While waiting, a new group of people arrived, but took some time to find an area to sit because none of the other tables have been bussed out yet. It wasn't even a busy time of the day!

After some time we followed up, asking to speak to a manager. But we found out that the manager already went home. How can a business as large as this operate without a manager on duty!

We couldn't do anything else but pay and leave.

Up to this part, still no apologies heard from any one of the staff. No "sir/mam pasensya na ho talaga kayo, nawala po kasi tung order etc"

Again, I feel sorry for the guys who own this place. And sorry for ranting guys. 9996999699969996

Went on a late night joy ride with Boedrey A and friends, since it was a very cold night we decided to have tagaytay's delicacy, bulalo 127830127858. There are so many restaurants that offer great bulalo but this joint had captured the hearts of my friends the first time they ate here.

Sorry to say but i really have a poor judgment when it comes to beef and pork dishes (except "pulutan" hihi), i'm not fond of eating meat but i can say that their bulalo is legit, its tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious, and not only that i liked their krispy kangkong very much i almost ordered a bottle of beer to go with it but then i saved my "beer appetite" for our next destination, their pancit bihon was also good, this is definitely one of the go-to places if you're in the mood for warm bulalo on a cold evening 128077

Their tapsilog and bulalo were great. Suits best the freezing cold weather on December in Tagaytay.

So my workmates and I went to Tomas after our shift. After a few beers, we jokingly said that we go to Tagaytay for some bulalo. It was already 2am. Most of us were up to it but for one. However, we insisted that he join us (peer pressure! Haha). I drove the 5 of us to Tagaytay and it was already cold. We headed to this restaurant since it was well lit and there were some customers. We ordered for the bulalo and tawilis. Damn the wind was really cold. Good thing I had a jacket in my car. Their bulalo had a generous serving of meat and the taste was good. But obviously it didn't stay hot for long.

After braving the heavy traffic from Rotonda to Magallanes square, we finally made it here for our first stop and dinner. We chose to be seated upstairs to experience the cold breeze of Tagaytay. The seats and tables downstairs were more archaic than the ones upstairs, but I wouldn't mind.

We got Bulalo, Sisig & Crispy Tawilis for our viand. Food were served in less than 20 minutes, I guess.

The sisig wasn't crunchy but it tastes really good. It doesn't taste like canned or instant sisig at all. The bulalo was filled with meat but with lesser vegetables though. :( It was savory and filling. The crispy tawilis wasn't actually crispy and was kind of bitter, so I didn't enjoy it that much.

Among everything, their sisig was my favorite! The service was okay, but almost hit-and-miss.

A spontaneous visit to Tagaytay calls for a visit to a legit bulalo house. I was with my boyfriend's highschool friends when we visited this. Although ut was actually my 2nd time ready and it was their first. We were only 3 however we ordered the large bulalo which is actually good for 5-6 people. Talk about being gluttonous. Haha. My friends loved every sip of the soup and every bite of the beef. Truly a legit bulalo.

What I love most about the place is that there are several nipa huts that serve as their "table" and hebplace is so refreshing because of the cold temperature especially at midnight.

The crispy fried tawilis is not crispy, unseasoned and ma paet.

The Tapsilog served cold. Beef tapa is not tender and full of fats. Only the egg is cooked to my liking. In short i only had fried egg and cold sinangag for lunch 128546

Food was so so but reasonably priced. Nothing great really. The best feature though are the huts. Especially at night, dining al fresco is a nice change. The light breeze is cool and refreshing. Couple that with serenades from the local singers, plus cold beer, and you've got yourself a winning combination! 128516128516128516

Tried bulalo, sisig and sinigang na hipon.. Masasarap lahat! Pero nagustuhan ko sa lahat is the sisig. :) cozy place lalo na sa kubo!
They should provide signal light sa kubo so that waiter/waitress will know which kubo needs assistance. :) hirap kumaway at sumigaw e. Lol

When we ate there last year, we almost done in eating their bulalo, but when one of my friend noticed the "?", so we called the service crew, she said that he would just change the bulalo, but we're already done eating, so i asked where is their manager, she said "wala daw silang manager or wala yong manager" so i asked i would pay it half of the price of bulalo, she said "hindi daw pwede". so all i did was to paying the bill, no more argue , after that incident , iwill never eat there. I hope they should have become more sensitive in terms of preparing their food, especially bulalo, sorry

I recommend this place for several reasons:

▪️ Location - Very accessible since this is along Tagaytay Road.
▪️ Ambience - Pretty good as we dined in one of their nipa huts. Relaxing as you can enjoy the cool climate and fresh air.
▪️ Harana - There is this group that goes to each nipa hut to sing with their instruments. You can also request songs and give them your tips - compliments as they call it.
▪️ Food - We waited for around 10-15mins for our orders to be served. That's not bad at all as the house is jam packed at 9pm.
▪️ Price - I think it is worth the money except for the rice which is pricey.

We ordered the following:
▫️ Pork Liempo - P120
▫️ Sizzling Sisig - P240
▫️ Rice - P45
▫️ Extra Special Bulalo (large) - P450

What's good about it is that the bulalo soup is refillable so you can request for it and order some extra rice.

Returning? YES!
