Going on a date! 128536

Mesa was the choice [because Vikings was full128557] even though we didn't get to eat at Viking's, Mesa was also delicious.

Here in Davao's Mesa, the interior of the place was EXTRA-ORDINARY! I love their interior. So "Moderne" especially on where we were seated, it was like a closed hut for privacy made from rattan 128523 very welcoming 128077

So I ordered the Inihaw Sampler, not knowing how big it really was 128517 it was a big platter full of assorted meat, chicken, pork and seafood.

Being just the two of us, there was bound to be leftovers and there was, maybe alittle more than half was left because of the big serving but nonetheless, it was very appetizing!!!128076

128205P.S. To all Dabawenyos out there, try this place for a change, good food and Good service [and hope it stays that way128513] also, to looloo people, try to go to Davao, its safe a safe place with good food 128513

When my family and I stepped in to the restaurant, the resto was full, but we were warmly greeted by the staff and quickly ushered in to a table.

It was a bit cramped inside, but I must say that the interiors were beautiful. They have these woven hammock-inspired decors over some of the seating areas. There were also nice wooden handcrafted pieces that decorated the space.

We ordered the following:

Tinapa Rolls (PHP145)
It tasted fine, but it was very oily! And the tinapa was just bits and slices inside. Liked the vinegar sauce that came with it though.

Pochero (PHP365)
Pretty sure that the meat they served had been in the freezer for about a week or more, because it tasted weird. And it was salty!

Patotim (PHP630)
It was... ugh. The duck was malnourished - it had no fats and the meat was way beyond lean. The sauce for it is supposed to be Chinese-inspired, but it was very salty. It was just like plain duck adobo.

Steamed Supreme Beef (PHP280)
We had this sent back to the kitchen because it was still cold. The name for the dish was quite fancy, but actually it was just braised beef.

Laing, Two Ways (PHP160)
The laing was just so-so, and it was, like the other dishes, salty.

Food was frustrating and really not our money's worth.

But on another note, the servers were friendly and attentive. They also gladly welcomed the comments and suggestions we had for them. Well, I guess they should be! Service charge was PHP78.35.
