This is Cedar Crest's only clubhouse cafe. I'd usually go here whenever I sleep over at Cedar and feel lazy to cook or get cabin fever from staying in all day reading my law books.

Stuff I've tried:

Brewed Coffee (P50) - Liked it. They use kapeng barako and it's always freshly brewed when I order some.

Beef Taco (P75) - It was good but honestly too pricey for what it is. It's something we can all do at home, and not on the same level as Army Navy for instance (which costs only P10 more?)

Calamari (P100) - OK. It was a big plate too so I guess that sort of justifies the price.

Chocolate Cake (P100) - Very good. It was moist, rich and had the right level of sweetness. Tasted like those nice, home-made cakes sold inside posh villages like Bel-air and Dasma.

Service - They're all nice. Speed was somewhere between fast and slow (depends on the number of patrons that day).

Ambience - OK. It's nice inside. They made an effort on the decor and adding details everywhere, but I don't really like staying inside for 2 reasons: (1) They play Yes FM (or was it Love Radio) and it was pretty loud; (2) You smell like food because they cook in there and it's a small place. So I usually bring my food to the clubhouse itself. Again, this is a clubhouse cafe so I'm not complaining.

Pricing - Pricey for what it is.

Wifi - Spotty at best.

I know I'd still go back. There will always be lazy days where I'd pay extra to have someone prepare my meal for me. But they can work on making the prices a little less steep (I'm guessing though that it's because of the steep rent). Just thankful to have a clubhouse cafe for lazy days really. 128513

I came in for breakfast - coffee and pandesal with kesong puti. Was not impressed as I was expecting a nicely brewed steaming hot Arabica coffee but I got a warm, doesn't-smell-like-freshly-brewed cup instead. I was not expecting much from the pandesal. If you live in the area and too lazy to go out or order in then this should be okay.

Thanks to Looloo, I got to discover that there's actually this new cafe place at the clubhouse 128514

I've been driving back and forth to tagaytay for 2 consecutive days and I was tired. So driving to get a meal is not a good option for me.

The place is small with 4 tables inside the cafe but cedar crest is generous enough to let them use all the tables in the clubhouse as dining area for them.

I ordered Spanish sardines pasta, pretty okay for php130. I was satisfied. I got to try out the fish & chips (php200) and chicken & mojos (php200), pretty okay too.

Now I know where to go if I suddenly feel hungry and don't wanna cook :P

P.S. They offer free wifi. Used their connection for this review 128521

No one wants to cook at home so I just had lunch at this newly opened cafe at the clubhouse with my parents. The place was small, with only about 5 tables inside but you can opt to eat at the dining area outside. We ordered two of their bestselling pastas while dad had their rice meal.

✅ Spanish Sardines Pasta- i only eat sardines if it's mixed with pasta. This one was pretty good. Generous serving for P130. I just don't like the aftertaste of the sardines. Haha!

✅ Longganisa Pasta- mom ordered this coz the wait staff said it was garlicky and they use longganisa from Tuguegarao. She liked it. It wasn't too oily nor salty

❎ Beef Salpicao- beef was tender but dad said it was too buttery and sweet. It overpowered the flavor of the dish.

Staff were courteous. Expect to wait for your food for a bit if they have lots of customers coz they only have one stove.
