I've tried a lot of burgers here in Angono -- Barney's Burger, burgers from Kim Is Hungry, The Sweet Life, Music Wizard Coffee and Tea Shop, Burger Punch, Liberty Prod (encased by two slices of "tasty" bread instead of buns haha) and Abbey Road Burgers formerly Mom's All-In Burger, so far.
And here's the newest in town -- Metro East Burger Station. Hosea I brought this to my attention so excited was I to try it.
When I got there one night, I discovered it was a small but decent place. It has enough seating inside the store (six or seven seats I think) plus two outdoor seating, where I sat since it was a bit smoky inside.
The burgers' names are inspired by the cities and towns in Rizal (except for "Pasig" burger, but Pasig used to be in Rizal, right?). I ordered the "Angono" burger (P85), fries (P35) and iced tea (P15)
It didn't take me long before I got my order. The verdict:
⚫The burger - patty was not too thick, but the burger had a considerable amount of veggies like lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. My patty fell off into pieces as I was taking a bite, or I guess I'm a messy eater hehe. Luray-luray na hahaha (it only means the patty is homemade and devoid of binding ingredients like flour). I discovered the bits of carrots mixed into the patty, which was a bit ununsual but I guess a good way to introduce carrots into the diet hehe. Liked the fried buns as well. No slice of cheese (or cheese sauce), like ko pa naman ung cheese sa burger, but it had a considerable amount of bacon weee!
⚫French fries - I expected plain fries (they also have chili fries). But no, I was happy that it was dressed in cheese sauce yay! I super loved the fries -- not oily, and not soggy despite being smothered with cheese. I didn't know if they used natural potatoes or really had a good batch of ready-to-fry french fries but either way masarap siya. Mejo crispy pa! Yum yum. And it was a lot enough for me.
To me Barney's Burger is still the best and beefiest among all the other burgers I've tried in Angono, but Metro East's burgers are good (and a bit healthy too haha). However, it's the fries that really got me hehe, they're that goooood! Next time order ako ng chili fries nila at nachos, which is their newest addition into the menu. Their burgers are super affordable, as all of them are below P100.
Thanks Hosea for the recommending this place! Hehehe.

This is a new burger place a few meters away from my home!! I think it opened this year. It had been the center of my attention every time I go home from school. The place is always crowded with teens and adults. I bet it must be good.
So yesterday, I finally had the chance to try their burgers. The burgers were named after towns in Rizal. I asked the woman in the cashier area what was their bestseller and she said Angono, and so I ordered it.
While waiting for my order, I observed the place. It was small, but can accommodate up to 8 people inside, and there were also 2 tables outside. I like the simple decorations inside also.
Alas, I got my order. Ang cute ng box (Take-out)
Judging time!! The patty was small, but it had a generous serving of veggies. The bun was your typical hamburger bun that you buy at supermarkets. Tastewise, okay lang. I didn't taste the pickles included in the burger and the bacon was just too salty for my tastebuds
I might try Antipolo or Taytay next time, and also their fries!!! I saw the waiter bringing the fries to the other customer and it had cheese sauce and coriander (ata) on it!! Ahhhhh gotta love cheese
Still recommending this, maybe it was just me who had a different taste.
