Wide range of dishes from western to asian like maki, sashimi, kebabs, steaks, mongolian, salads, pastas, breads, cheese, cold cuts, grilled seafoods and desserts like halo halo, cookies, jellies and fruits.

Too many to mention and i wasn't able to try everything as it is too many. So far everytjing i have tried was good but what I liked the most was their roast beef (wasn't in the picture as i was too excited to eat it). i had plenty of it :D

It was my friend’s 18th birthday and she celebrated it at Midas Hotel and Casino! The reservation was from 6pm to 10pm but I was late (it’s pre-APEC weekend). Anyway, it’s my first time to eat at Midas. What I placed on my plate:
Steak-it lacks flavor
Lechon belly- made me dizzy haha oh fats!
Mashed potato-this is the best!! I suddenly thought of a thanksgiving dinner in Upper East Side because of this
Sushi and maki- they’re good but not that great
For desserts, I do not know the names of those foods. But I think it was the panna cota that I loved most. They offer different cakes, kakanin, churros, ice cream, halo-halo, and some chocolates.
They also have a grilling section; fresh seafoods are up for grabs. They offer different kinds of cheese, a Korean section (kimchi), and some viands from different cuisines.
Midas offers a wide range of food choices. Although the place is not that nice.

Authentic Japanese food? Midas Hotel in Pasay can give what you are craving for! They have great selection of food and the restaurant staffs are all friendly and accomodating. Unlimited refill of warm green tea as well which I really like 128514 The set up of the area feels like you are the king/queen! Of course because because of this service and great food it comes with a price. But I don't mind paying once in a while for a great Japanese experience! 128521128076127860127843127861By the way I was able to eat 2 set meals! Yes I have big appetite! 1285419786128514128055128055128055 You can go to the casino later on after having a nice meal hehe

Who would spend P1,980 for buffet??? Most buffet's from a myriad of hotel's cost less and there are other restaurants which has great ambiance cost way way less. So what makes Midas stand out from the buffet pack? Entering the ritzy hotel owned by Manny Pacquiao our people's champ one would be fascinated by the wonderful scent of the entire lobby greeted with pleasant staffs and lush furniture with unique architectural structure unseen in popular hotels. Upon entering Midas Cafe the amiable ushers will show you to your reserved (or chosen seat) and again yours will pop with how their setup looks like from the lighting, opulent but relaxing seats up-to their posh restrooms. The acoustics of the cafe must have been researched since one doesn't feel crowded or in an ordinary restaurant when people chat. Only minor reservation this reviewer has is the lapses if waiters when refilling water especially when your hidden or far from the food stations.

Now for their food, what we have all been itching to find out, heck its P1,980 net! Where to start? There is the mix of salads, sushi, sashimi, mouth watering bread, dim sum and a diverse selection of cheese. You can then move on with a fresh catch if crabs, kebabs, beef tenderloin and salmon (which in this critics opinion one of the best). Going back for the salmon already made your money's worth. Can't forget their yummy US Roast Strip loin which is soft and cooked medium-well, just perfect for this reviewers liking. The chicken and liempo for this rater were the highlights though. It likewise boasts one of the most presentable dessert bars that includes not so sweet but luscious chocolates, custards, parfaits, and mini cakes that would definitely satisfy every sweet tooth you have until your dentist rejoices.

It wouldn't hurt to spend an enormous amount for special occasions with a place recognized as one of Asia Tatler Dining's beat restaurants of 2012. Viewing the hotel of our "people's champ" while browsing the huge selection from Midas Cafe. Not bad feeling like an elite personality waiting for your ride after being treated to a sumptuous meal with your special someone.

So...all in all...do you still remember the price of the buffet? Think its still worth it?

The selection: noodle station, pasta station, grill, salad, seafood spread, dessert.
The taste: just ok. Some too salty especially the fish fillet in tausi sauce & baked salmon. While some are just so, so.
The ambiance: low mirrorized ceiling, didn't hear any ambient sounds if there is..
Good thing we got vouchers from Metrodeal at 999/person otherwise should have spend it at Sofitel instead if paying for the regular price.
Bonus: selfie at their modern lobby :)

We wanted to give our Aussie balikbayans a different dining experience aside from the usual Chinese or Filipino cuisine for their despedida dinner. It's a far cry from Sofitel's wide variety of dishes but hey, the food is not bad at all.

My titas loved the Japanese section for the fresh sushi, and I, on the other hand enjoyed making my own pasta and salad. I love how they replenished every dish from time to time just to make sure that new comers have a fair share of trying each variant. The desert section is also a haven for sweet-tooths like me -- they have crepes, macarons, halo-halo, pastries and even gummies! A major disappointment, however, was their cheese section.128528 I mean, c'mon, 3 kinds of cheese?! They can do so much better in that aspect.

Aside from that, I have nothing else to complain. The food and service were decently good :) Btw, you can also request for soda, coffee or tea just in case you don't like the juices available on the buffet table. :)

Overall, Midas Cafe is a hit-and-miss.

It has a spacious floor for buffet that creates an illusion that it serves more dishes and desserts than 7 Corners of Crowne Plaza.

I like salmon and I appreciate that they have four different ways on how they served it; sashimi, pan-seared, grilled and oven-baked. Sashimi has four types of tuna, the staple salmon and red, white and GenSan tuna.

They have systematic way (by number system) of having your food grilled.

I like their dessert presentation. They serve sweets from macarons to halo-halo.

They have fewer main course dish for beef, chicken or pork, salad and sushi rolls. Noodle and pasta are similar to 7 Corners.

My red pasta and beef karma (Indian food) are disaster however.

Why? Choices for breakfast are clearly Filipino. But between the buffet here and Shang's HEAT; sorry but I'd go for Edsa Shang:)
Sorry Midas, but just the same I was amazed by your tall and fashionable receptionists at the ground floor..tall and extra high heels. Whew!...:))

Been hearing good things about the Midas Buffet. And what a perfect time to try it out...celebrating hearts day!
Main lobby of the hotel was small but nice though the interior of the main dining area had a low headroom which makes the place "ungrand".
Appetizers, seafood grille and desserts had a wide selection and fruit juices were included in the buffet which is a plus+++
Main course was simple. Except for the addition of Lamb and crusted salmon. Was like a "catering" menu, as my husband had put it. Pasta station and noodle station were included but was more of a side thought.
Despite my observations...I deem this far better than the 6 star "Raffles" buffet.
Here...No complaints...we got vouchers from Metrodeal so it was a good value for money "try-out" dinner!
Special thanks our dear friends Jay and Cel! Happy Valentine's to all!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary at Midas Cafe. And wow, it was so worth it! The place is really classy. As you enter the lobby you'll notice the Hermes bags and cases on display and their classy furnitures. The Cafe is on the second floor.
We bought our voucher through metro deals at only 800+. Thank you metro deal!
Everything was good! They have a pasta station, grilled food section, noodle station, mongolian, and my favorite, the dessert station! Loved the beef kebab and the pigeon and salmon. My hubby loved the humba. Kudos also to the servers who goes out of their way to accommodate our requests. Totally worth it just for the experience and the food:)
I'm thinking of celebrating my birthday here. Sulitin ang metro deal :) hahaha.

We got our voucher here from metrodeal Regular price is at 1930 discounted price is at 849.

Price is not bad for a hotel buffet however there were not that many choices. What we liked so much was their mongolian bbq section, there you get to choose from chicken beef or shrimp then add your choice of sauce to go with it. Other dishes that i liked were the striploin, beef kebab and salt and pepper squid. I was however disappointed with their dessert becuase they didn't have ice cream. Other than that i thought everything was good.

P.S. I really liked the interiors of the hotel especially the lobby. Very classy!
