After tasting Milkway's halo-halo a couple of months back. I decided to bring Grams here. She has a sweet tooth and likes Filipino desserts.

Suffice to say that she forgot about Razon's after the first taste. She raved about the Ube Ice Cream. This will not be the last time we're gonna dine at Milkyway. This is the first of many visits. I'll try their savory dishes next time.

Expensive for what it is! I bought liempo for lunch and it cost a lot! Not coming back here!

When I think of Halo Halo, I think of Razon's or Chowking or Manila Pen. But today, after treating my sister to Mother's Day lunch in Powerplant mall, she was craving for halo halo--the quintessential dessert for summer! So we went to Milky Way. Let me say I like the presentation, because it reminds me of how halo halo is traditionally presented--in tall glasses. But I was underwhelmed with the "sangkap". It didn't have leche flan, the ube ice cream tasted not homemade (thought their home made ice cream was good), can't taste the langka, and they weren't just generous with the preserved fruits, beans and macapuno. It could also be creamier. It was okay, but not great.

Milky Way is a comfort food zone like no other... The quality and portions make the price worth it... I come here for the Kinulop na Tilapia... If you want honest food Milky way is it...

The best thing about this restauran is it feels like a very good homecooked meal. Like an upscale eatery.....this restaurant has quite a variation of dishes - filipino, american, spanish, italian..... But expensive I was told by D for the small servings... He brought for dinner he get to spend 1500+ for it

He brought all my local faves
Adobong pusit was soft but not plump like I wish it is... Maybe smaller size squid will make it taste more succulent & delicate... Though the sauce was the perfect salty tangy sweet blending that I love

Spareribs that I use to remember soft & fork tender wasn't so this time... Maybe I remembered it wrong... Was once only & a long time ago

Dinuguan was tender, tasty & love the salty sweet tangy blending of the sauce ...But the pork blood based sauce was watery & very thin & oily... there's also no blood chunks in it like the authentic dish was suppose to be... So a little disappointing

Sinigang was just too bland and very tangy , something's missing .... And has the weird fishy taste I don't like tho the fish does look fresh ... Epic fail

The dining area is small. The price is a little bit pricey. I think this resto is for take-out orders than dining in.

Filipino fare has comfort food written all over it.

We had:
-Kare-kare
-Dinuguan
-Pork BBQ Spareribs
-Lechon Kawali
-Pinaputok na Tilapia
-Lumpia
-Halo-halo
-Ginumis (shown in photo)

We were all really hungry in the family so we all tucked in right away. Almost everything was spot on except the Tilapia. Other than that, everyone was really happy with all the food. I was particularly fond most of my Ginumis 128525. First time to notice it on their menu.

The place is a little small/tight and the chairs are a little comfortable. The service isn't bad. They get the job done but smiles would've done a world of a difference 128522. The price point is just about right for the food.

After reading Spot's Top 10 Halo Halo with Milky Way's halo halo ranking higher than Razon's (Milky Way #2, Razon's #4), I was curious, and had to satisfy my halo halo craving while the sun is scorching hot. My verdict: it was okay, traditional/ classic halo halo, but nothing special. It can't beat Razon's.

#1 was Kabigting's (Arayat), and #3 Nathaniel's (Pampanga). Since they are no branches nearby, I haven't tried these yet. I have never been a fan of Spot's rankings--always a suspect. ;) Hope we can have a Looloo ranking that is user generated!

Creamy because of the ube ice cream.128077
Beans, sweet potato, kaong, gulaman that's all I can remember.
Definetly coming back, Razon's still better, imo.
In fairness ang lansa ng table.

We tried this restaurant just for their halo-halo. I have seen their halo-halo as one of the top 10 halo-halo in spot.ph so, my boyfriend, being a halo-halo fanatic immediately wanted ti try it. Off we go to powerplant then 128516

The finely crushed ice together with their own homemade ube ice cream sent us to halo-halo heaven. If you happen to be the person who wants sweetened banana in their halo-halo, then this is not for you. This halo-halo has 0, as in ZERO banana 128521

Over-all this is a good halo-halo

Self serve. The staff were pretty fast. I bought some dinuguan for my dad cause he just loves it. I'm guessing it tastes really good. Hahha never tried dinuguan myself. Probably soon I will. 128521128077

Milky Way has always been a reliable stop for home-cooked meals but I have always looked at it as "carinderiang sosyal". We got the barbecued spareribs and kare-kare for this visit and as always, bitin ang kanin!

was at the mall today fixing my smart retention plan. so it was dinner time by the time we were done and wanted a not so heavy dinner. my dad wanted soup or ramen but we couldnt find a place for that so as we were walking on the first floor we spotted all time favorite, homey, put -a- smile-on-my-face Milky Way!!!
yey! i had the sinigang na baboy and dad had the adobong pusit.
my sinigang was great. really hit the spot. warm soup in my tummy!! just the right amount of sour for my taste. i just wish there were more veggies.
the squid was yummy too. nice taste and the squid was perfectly cooked. not gummy at all!
only thing is that dad wanted the sauce thick.

the servic of ALL milky way branches that i have been to is great. they always have good knowledge of their products, they are always friendly, accomodating and very helpfull. it makes you feel relaxed, at home and very well taken care of.

THE VERDICT: COMFORT FOOD. FRIENDLY STAFF. HOW COULD YOU GO WRONG? I WOULDNT MIND EATING HERE EVERYDAY AND TWICE ON A SUNDAY!!!

You know that turo-turo in Power Plant? The one in the basement? 128590
HAHAHA! 128540128541128539

So I had lunch with our 'new accountant' and since we needed something fast, but not fast food, I chose this place. (And, so I can write that "turo-turo" 128517)

I ordered lasagna for myself (Php195) and pork spareribs for her (Php295 + 20 for rice). Why am I posting the price? So you'll understand my disappointment.

Look at the picture closely. Notice how unappetizing they look? Well, looks can be deceiving... but this doesn't disappoint. It tastes as bad as it looks! Kalurks! 128557

Maybe it's because they're just being reheated? I don't know... but something has to be done to fix this. Seriously, everything was dry. Even the rice! I didn't even have to taste it to know it was dry.128543

Not worth it at all! I'd rather go to Greenwich for lasagna and to a real turo-turo for spareribs aka liempo! 128531
