My third (?) time here, but still it never failed to fascinate me because of the beautiful flowers, succulents and ornamental/"kitchen" plants being sold there. This time, I chose to buy some "kitchen herbs" like basil and thyme as well as "siling haba."

On my previous visit, I bought a chopping board with receptacles for the chopped and sliced ingredients. It is now used well (and quite frequently). But I found it too small so I never passed up the chance to buy a bigger chopping board (₱280, walang tawad yun, habang ung maliit mga ₱`180 ata). I also bought some products from Good Shepherd mainly for pasalubongs like strawberry jam, ube jam, peanut butter, peanut brittle, crinkles, lengua (my absolute fave!), etc. We also bought locally made brooms or "walis tambo."

I am not the type of buyer who haggles -- unless absolutely necessary and unless I am really short of cash -- especially when purchasing souvenir items, delicacies and other locally-made merchandise. Hindi ako yung tipong: "Wala na bang tawad yan?"

Hindi naman dahil sa mayaman ako o ano. I feel that this is the locals' chief (or only) means of living, so I'd rather support them by buying their products. It's my own little way of helping them. If I keep on haggling, I don't think they're making enough profit to meet their daily needs. Yun lang naman po. Besides, minsan lang naman ako nakakapunta ng Baguio (or any other tourist destination), so it's not every day that I'm going to buy anything more from them. As long as merchants do not cheat and/or overcharge beyond reason. #SupportLocal.

Like in my previous visits, I was disappointed by the sight of litter -- scattered plastic cups, straws and leftover steamed corns on sticks in particular. Grrrrr! 128545 Siguro gandang-ganda sila sa sight ng mga nakakalat dun. 128514

Anyway, it was my first time to buy ube taho. It was good! I even thought this was better than the strawberry taho. Kasi ung asim ng strawberry tapos ung mismong taho (the tofu) mejo mapakla minsan -- that combination threw me off sometimes. Ube halaya, on the other hand, was sweet and milky. It went well with the taho (tofu) itself.

Volume of crowds didn't seem to let up. Oh well, peak season eh.

Our 2nd stop of our Day 2 Baguio Trip last December 30,2017.

This is one of the popular attractions here at the City Of Pines 127794 Mines View Park is open as early as 5am to 8pm.its nice to go here as early in the morning , as long as the sun is out the better 127774 so you could enjoy it’s breath taking sight .

There’s a lot of food stalls in the entrance and we even had souvenir photo then we headed directly to the view point . The view was really amazing , glad I have my iPhone 128241 8 plus with me 128247. We took a lot pictures here .

Then you can even take photos with Bernard Dog and the horses 128014 there . We love the pink horse it’s so girlie128052 it’s 50 pesos for 3 shots only using your fam so make sure you’ll have a good shot .

There’s a side trip also to Good Shepherd Convent where we bought our favorite strawberry jam, and ube.

There is no entrance fee to Mines View Park. If ever you will hit the summer capital of the Philippines , make sure that you’ll visit the Mines View Park And it will surely leave the heartthrob impression to you . Truly breathtaking128561

What's a visit to Baguio without passing by mines view? Hahaha! We've actually skipped going to this place for the past few years cos it was just too crowded! However, I really wanted to drop by this time cos I wanted to buy some wooden kitchenware. TG we were able to snag a parking slot! I think lunch time is a good time to go since people are leaving for lunch.
Have been going to mines view since forever srsly. Especially since my grandmother used to have an apartment right along the same street. I've seen how the place has changed and developed through the years. There was a time where it was really super crowded and vendors would be everywhere. Now I think it's a little bit more organized with the vendors off to one side and the 'photo ops' like the sunflower wall, Igorot costumes and dogs on the other. Still crowded but hey, it is a tourist spot 128522

Our return at Mines View Park was a more pleasant experience than the previous visit. Not so crowded since it was going to be dark anyway during the time we were there.

We bought as much "pasalubongs" as we could. Since I forgot to bring my bigger eco-bag (I left it at the hotel suite we were staying), I bought fewer things, but I never forgot to buy some of my favorites like Baguio's sweet strawberry wines. I didn't have much time to find "blueberry" wines, but I did encounter a wine made from "bugnay" or local berries. I bought them out of curiosity, to see if they would taste good. (I dunno if bugnay and the so-called "blueberry" are one, since I couldn't find a real blueberry fruit in Baguio)

I got to rent a pair of binoculars too (P20 pesos for five minutes) to use at the view deck. I also bought a "banana" succulent, key chains and some trinkets, a small broom, a wooden chopping board (that came with receptacles for chopped ingredients) and some clothes. Besides, we didn't want to bring too much on our departure. Strawberries are not yet in season so they tend to be a bit on the pricey side, as far as I know.

As always, I was charmed by the flowers and other succulents. I wish I could take all of them home. :)

Another overlooking place in baguio, Mines view park has a lot to offer. It has stalls selling fresh plants and flowers, photo ops with traditional filipino costumes and a lane of pasalubong center that sells famous baguio products.

I feel like today is one of the great way to visit Mines View Park. Hubby kept on saying it reminds him of Picnic Grove, the crowd and temperature and he was quite right. Although the people here are much nicer.

It's so nice to see the view with a bit more greenery. Last time I've been here, the view was barren and new houses were starting to pop up. There were also a lot of trash then and little kids standing on the cliffs asking people to throw coins. It's way better now and you can also do your shopping here after enjoying the view.

It's my first time to set foot on Baguio so I had no idea what to expect from the places here. With the help of my research and some friends, I was able to list down places to visit in Baguio this season, and this was one of those.

We parked the car meters from Mines View Park since it was crowded and it'll be hard to get in and out of the area if we were to park somewhere closer.

As we entered Mines View, we were able to see lots of plants for sale, some were just flowers while others were spices (rosemary, thyme, etc).

There's not much to see here. Some of their attractions include picture taking with St. Bernard dogs and horses with dyed hair. I wasn't able to take photos of the dog because I felt pity for them. They looked so tired 128532 I think the real deal here is the view, which I liked, and would have loved if it wasn't crowded.

I also heard that there's an Igorot museum on the second floor of a building near the entrance (no entrance fee) but we didn't check it out. I believe you can also rent out traditional Igorot clothing as I saw people wearing them.

There are also lots of stalls near the park if you want to eat or do some shopping. I heard some of their products are of good quality. The area is also surrounded by taho vendors. I was able to try Baguio's strawberry taho from another place so this time I tried the ube and it wasn't much of a winner for me.

Overall, I'd love to come back to the place perhaps to reflect or have some deep thoughts, but I'll do so when it's not peak season. I'll come back to here to have some quiet time and enjoy the view.

Mines View Park may be your one-stop place for buying pasalubongs and souvenirs when you're in Baguio.

By the time we were there, there were a lot of people, as it was a Sunday too.

Other attractions include horses with neon pink manes and tails, and a St. Bernard pooch... Nakita ko na si Beethoven! Men and women who were clad in traditional Igorot attire served as tour guides, models for souvenir picture takings with tourists, or barkers.

Just disappointed about the trash, though. Ironically, the voice-over at the park said pa naman, "mahigpit po naming ipinagbabawal ang pagtapon ng basura..." I would pick the litter up and dispose of them into the bin, whenever I could. Baguio is a great place, and it was my first time going there. I hope people may realize that so that they won't spoil its beauty.

Finally back in Baguio after a couple of years, whew, since when was the last time? I guess 7 years ago? Wow, it took me that long to visit again Baguio.. Hahaha!! 128514128514128514 LOL!

Mines View Park is such a beauty, especially their viewdeck wherein you could see the beauty if Baguio even though there were a lot of houses that were already built along the different areas of Baguio. So you can't barely see much of the trees, but rather houses. Hmm, just my point of view I guess. 128514

It was really fun visiting Mines View because there is a lot of stuffs to be bought inside like if you love gardening, which my grandma is hahahah!! You could see and buy a group of different plants, herbs and flowers as well. ♥️127801127806127811

We even took a photo with the famous St. Bernard dog inside the park for only 50php you already get two shots for it wherein our case we just did a continuous shot they didn't noticed it. 128556

My sister and I also tried wearing the traditional Igorot costume for only 20php it was indeed fun because we were allowed to do unlimited shots!!! 9786

They also sell different goodies and souvenir items such as keychains, peanut brittle, strawberry jams and or preserves and many more!!

Overall experience was great!! We will be back soon!! 128556128077🏻

Horse back riding just for souvenir.
Horses look like gays for their colors. Lol 128123
There is this famous dog just for picture taking too.
Rent Igorot costumes for souvenirs that you were once look a native of Baguio.
Binoculars for rent for distant viewing.
If you're looking for shirts and other souvenirs, this is the right place for you.
Over all
Pwede na rin.
So many people out here. 128532
