Definitely another of Bacolod's finest pastry shop!

The white interiors designed with different art illustrations make the place a nice hangout area.

Ordered slices of their Chocolate Mud Pie (85php) and Chocolate Chip Cheesecake (90php).

Both cakes tasted really really awesome! The mud pie's sweetness is perfectly paired with the mousse's softness and texture. The cheesecake's combination with the chocolate is really delicious.

The chewiness of both cakes is really addicting!

Mom just got back from Bacolod and she brought me the best Red Velvet Cake ever!

Yes, it's the best in my opinion.128077

There are only a few people who can pull off the fluffy + moist cake and the baker of Miren has succeeded in satisfying my high expectation of Red Velvets. 128536

When you do get around to visiting Bacolod do stop by their little shop. 128539

My cousin knows how much I love Red Velvet. But like Florian Bellanger I am pretty particular with it. Not everyone can pull off a perfect Red Velvet and so far only three establishments have satisfied my taste buds.

One of those establishments would be Miren. I liked it so much that I brought one home to Manila despite the fact that I had a lot of other stuff to carry.

The cake itself was very light and fluffy not like those fudge-y Red Velvets you can buy at those Ayala Mall stalls. The sweetness was well-balanced and you could actually tell that it was made of chocolate. (Not too many people know that it's actually chocolate) The frosting was excellent! It's not one of those commercialized crap that tastes like sugar and cream. This is legit cream cheese, mixed to perfection and proportional to the amount of cake you're getting. Seeing a cupcake with a huge dollop of frosting is one of my pet peeves. Too much frosting is a real turn off for me.

The place is quite cozy and is usually quiet. My nephews are the only ones who make noise run amok after an intense sugar rush. It's crazy!

I'm definitely craving for a slice right now. 128542
