Never get tired of fawning over Minions! This was really an eye catching treat from Mister Doughnuts. Each piece has its own personality and individual flavors. we all had a blast trying each one. Surprisingly they had Bavarian, Chocolate and Sugar flavors. I'm basing this on the 3 pieces I gobbled up before my officemates and I finished off 2 boxes. One caveat, its slightly bigger than a munchkin and priced at 10pesos each, its quite pricey relative to other doughnut offerings. But it was so good, the icing provides a slight texture and bite over the soft doughnut. The box is cool as well. Kids can cut paper doll characters and place them in different settings. A yummy treat to distract kids and adults from being glued to their phones and Ipads? I'm in!

I got so addicted to this mochi like doughnuts from Mister Donut called Pon de Ring. I remember the first time I tried it in Korea in 2009. My first bite gave me mixed emotions. That single bite made my small eyes turn into anime eyes and my taste buds rejoiced and partied as if it was Octoberfest. But that single bite also made me sad as I knew that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it when I return to Manila to face reality. (I was based in Seoul for a couple of months for an exchange student program and I stuffed myself with doughnuts till I get tired of it. But I didn't! I needed a truckload of it! 128555)

So imagine my delight when I heard that these oh so lovely and chewy doughnut beads are finally available in Manila. I shrieked, jumped, roll and had a panic attack. (Okay, the last one didn't happen but I almost hyperventilated due to too much happiness.)

I immediately asked my mom to buy some since she frequents Mister Donut.

And when she rang the doorbell, I ran like Sonic the Hedgehog (shucks, I think I just revealed my age!) and greeted... the doughnut box.

Hellooooooo Pon de Ring! *ahihihihihi*

It was just like the ones I enjoyed in Korea. It was chewy and beautifully coated. I loved sugar raised the most. 10084128523127849

Argh! I want some now! 128557

(Disclaimer: The first time I tried it was in 2014. I just want to share my love for Pon de Ring. PON DE RING!!!) 100841008410084

Brewed coffee and this snowdome donut. Ages since I've been to a Mister Donut and I did like it just like before I recall their branch in Greenhills where I used to get a box of donuts. 128522

I was trying to think of where to have lunch yesterday, because I'm too lazy to walk around the mall. Then I found this deal in Mister Donut.

It is weird and cool that they have breakfast meals already; yes ladies and gents, they are now serving rice meals. 128563

I had Beef tapa while sipping my CBT alongside with ChocoCro and Chicken Chops. Yeah, I ate all of them. 128523

Beef tapa tastes good, small servog of rice 128530 the eggs are okay. 128077 Not bad as a start!

Honestly, I'm not a fan of Mister Donut's doughnuts because it has that weird aftertaste. But what I like about this place is their sandwiches and surprisingly, their rice meal.

I ordered their Angus Beef Tapa Meal with coffee for late lunch and I really enjoyed it. The meat was tender and flavorful for the price of P99.

I can't wait ti try more if their rice dishes.

This branch in Megamall is now called Mister Donut カフェ, with the name written in katakana underneath. I initially thought that all their products would now be the same as the ones in Japan, apparently they're just promoting the Pon De Rings which are Japanese donuts, along with some Japanese-inspired dishes.

Along with my 99-peso order of Japanese Spicy Tuna croissantwich and Nescafe Freeze, I tried the Sansrival Pon De Ring (P39). It looked similar to a certain shop selling Japanese donuts which I'd rather not name, but then again that might be what it really looks like. As I bit into the chewy dough, the first thing I tasted was the intense sweetness of the glaze accented with a nutty taste. However, that sweetness eventually blended in with the dough which was a good thing. That or I made the right decision in ordering the bittersweet Nescafe Freeze (which wasn't fully filled. Boo). XD

As for the croissantwich, I found out that the spiciness wasn't infused with the tuna but with the dressing and the nori in it. The crunchy texture of the croissantwich made it a bit hard for me to eat, so I opted to take it out and wait for a few hours. Fortunately, I made the right decision in doing so. :P

Plus points for the fast service and good-natured servers. :)

Mister Donut : upgraded

It was my first time again to visit this branch since its closure a few months ago,

The place was well designed, they've add more tables and chairs, and for the menu' added a rice meal (all day breakfast for 90 pesos like beef tapa, corned beef and new donuts : a bit expensive for the price of 60 pesos per donut.
Alot of promotional tv ads for their new products ...

Their sandwich upgraded also to croissantwich, from they usual bun for the same price.

So I ordered my usual brewed coffee with sugar glazed donut.

I may say that the coffee was usual not as good as the coffee of Dunkin Donuts which I really like for only 45 pesos for the large one way much better than the brewed coffee of Starbucks.

All here was new from utensils to chairs and aircon.

Great!
