Our main goal for being in the area was to sample the coffee at Where's Marcel. They didn't have lunch options aside from an Adobo Sandwich so we headed here.

I ordered a Beef Special Chelo Kabab. According to the server the only difference between this and the Beef Chelo Kabab was that this had 2 pieces. I figured that it was quite a deal for just a P30 price difference.

The portion looked big although it wasn't the most photogenic. I transferred one piece of beef and half of the rice to an extra plate in case the others would like to try my dish. My sister grabbed a bite and she found it malansa, thinking that maybe they gave us lamb instead of beef. I told her that the piece on my plate was fine. When I tasted what she was eating, I noticed that it had a different flavor and texture. By this time I already devoured my piece so I couldn't compare anymore. I asked a server to check if the remaining piece was beef and he confirmed that it was. When we explained our observations, he informed us that the order was composed of beef tenderloin and ground beef. I wish that was written on the menu or at least the order taker was knowledgeable and upfront about the distinction. I kinda felt cheated and I guess that P30 price difference was too good to be true.

I'm still not impressed with this type of food but the dish I ordered wasn't that bad. I enjoyed the beef more when I drowned it in white saw and a dab of hot sauce.

Always good and cheap mediterranean place!

P.S. orders don't come with biryani rice, you have to order it separately.

My love for this special chelo kebab never gets old. The meal consist of 2 ground beef, grilled tomatoes and butter on the rice. The beef is ground so its tender and seasoned well, tomatoes are grilled, the butter is frozen so it takes time to melt on the rice. I also love their white sauce/garlic sauce smothered in my butter rice and beef. Interiors are cute they are white and clean. Servers were friendly and attend to our needs fast. Will definitely go back here whenever O crave dor kebabs.

The food blogger in me walked around ortigas last night in search for dinner. And at last the branch of the famous kebab and shawarma is already done renovating. You must try their Special Cielo Kebab (on the photo) and Beef Shawarma. Very tasty and I must say it satisfied my cravings. Haha. Their butter may be a simple one yet I find it alright not like the others which has strong taste. I was charged 300PHP for both orders.

Sooo glad I don't have to go all the way to QC for mister kabab. We so fortunately stumbled upon it when we attended my cousin's school event. I'm glad I asked her for a good place to have dinner and she just told me there's a good persian place nearby. To my surprise, it was mister kabab! Yipee! 128514 Really like their keema's and Kebab's with the garlic sauce and buttered rice. Oh my. 128525

A little sad that their yogurt shake is now a little watered down and in a very thin glass. 128546

Plus points for their interiors which are now very homey, love their tile floor design! Service was nice and fast too!

Clueless of where to go to while waiting for our other friend, A and I found ourselves circling around Pearl Drive.

Japanese?

Nah.
Filipino?

Not feeling like it.

Argh! I’m too hungry, let’s go to Mister Kabab!

That was how my friend and I ended up in the homey Mister Kabab.

The place was pretty much empty compared to the first time I went there with some colleagues. Perhaps it was because it was a Saturday and the restaurant’s regular customers are students from the university nearby.

I was too hungry that day for someone who had breakfast twice. I ordered Special Chicken Chelo Kabab (PHP150), Keema with Eggplant (PHP90), and Yogurt with Fresh Fruits (PHP66). My friend on the other hand settled for Special Beef Chelo Kabab (PHP155).

The service was quite prompt but they served my yogurt before my main dish(es). I had to ask them to serve it later. (Perhaps it’s actually an appetizer?)

All of our other orders arrived at the same time. (Wee! We didn’t have to wait for the other and just stare at our food and wait for it to get cold.)

My Special Chicken Chelo Kabab looked… ordinary. The picture I had in mind was The Kebab Factory’s Chicken Mast but perhaps the taste was the one that’s special.

With Mister Kabab white sauce on one hand and a fork ready to poke the chicken, I took one big bite.

It was quite savory though it was missing the tangy taste of the Chicken Mast of TKF that I loved. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good but it would have been better if the chicken was a tad bit juicier.

The Keema with Eggplant on the other hand was good though since I ate almost all of my rice with the chicken kabab, the keema’s flavor became too strong for me. It was like seasoned ground beef but juicier (or should I say saucier?).

On the other hand, the yogurt was quite good. It had the tangy taste that I love but I was surprised that the only fruit in the yogurt was mangoes. I didn’t know that it was still the season of mangoes. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.

We left the place with happy tummies and wallets. I’ll definitely go back for more.

Ordered Korma with beryani rice, sizzling beef kabab, pistachio baklava and coffee choco cake. Huge serving. I havent tasted an authentic mediterenean dish so I have nothing to compare, I have to say though that the dish packs in flavor. Dessert is good though it's too sweet for my taste. We also ordered a tall glass of yogurt shake - highly recomemended! 5 star for the food attendants.

Kabab, Kebab, whatever! All I know is they're so delicious, tasty, yummy and juicy! A colleague treated me and my sister here for unknown reasons but hey, who are we to disagree? Love their kababs here. Even tastier than the ones I had in Dubai last last week! I guess I haven't been to Dubai's finest kababs or what I had wasn't the authentic kababs there are. Will always go back to this place anytime even if I'm not in my current company anymore. Special Chelo Kabab as always FTW!

Always loved their kebab/kababs here! Always cooked as ordered. Flavor and taste is consistent everytime. Price is just right. Not too expensive and not too cheap. I think there are more Kebab restos out there that has a more authentic and flavorful Kebab compared here but it's always accompanied by an expensive price tag.

Only thing I hate going here is parking slots. It's very limited. Sometimes, you'll have to walk almost a block from your parking area to here. But what can you expect ay Ortigas eh?

Bigger place and it wasn't crowded unlike the main branch. The Biryani rice was so-so. Yogurt shake is still delish. However, my sister said that she prefers the cooking in the West ave branch, there's something off daw.

Dinner after a meeting and updates. Gotta try the Special Beef Chelo and the Pita bread. Though my father usually brings home some Beryani rice i also want to try this on my next visit.

Quite a filling meal and the block of butter is such a guilty indulgence. Special Chelo Kebab includes ground beef and tenderloin, with rice and grilled tomatoes. Value for money as it netted me P180! 128515

College Days .. The one and only place we go to after drinking.. Sadly, their kebab is no longer as good as before. The shawarma plate was good but the meat was a little tough..

Went there for lunch today and as usual, I ordered my favorite, keema with eggplant. To my disappointment, both keema and rice were served cold. The butter won't even melt in the rice.

I'd always go for their keema with eggplant. It goes so well with their white sauce and chili.

Never really liked their yogurt shake though, tastes awful.
