Seriously, if you will not go inside, you'll find this place a bit of nothing.
Although the view is relaxing.
Nothing much to say. 128522

For our 2nd stop of our Puerto Princesa City tour handled by Kara Travel and Tours on our Day 1 in Palawan is at Mitra's Ranch.

Rancho Sta. Monica or Mitra's ranch is located in Sta. Monica heights in Puerto Princesa. While we're on our way there we saw how many hectares of land that was for sale and our tour guide is asking if we would be interested to buy, well his just joking128518 It is easy to locate and very popular there.

Good thing there is no entrance fee collected in here. We just had a quick visit here. But if you go inside Mitra's house there will be a 20 pesos entrance fee. So mom Elaine P my daughter Adelheid L my aunt and I ,all the girls went inside because all the boys don't want to remove their kicks so that's the reason why they didn't join us inside. Rules is you need to remove your shoes when going inside the house for viewing. There's the living room where we seated and at the back of us are paintings of Mitra's family. Feeling Hacienderas and we ask the care taker to take a picture of us, then at the huge dining room too.

Then when we finish the viewing inside we go out and look at the beautiful scenery of the place and felt the freshness of air. It's a place that you can go when you want to be alone and relax, chill or unwind. The place also has serene environment in it.

There were a lot of benched scattered in the place where you can sit or have picnic but we really need to go as we still have more line up in our itinerary.

You can spot some horses 128052 and cows 128004 on the ranch, looks like your in New Zealand.

There are some activities there like the zip line. It's a new attraction in the ranch. Rates is 500 pesos.

The ranch is just few meters away from Bakers Hill, you either walk but on our case we ride on our tour van .

Ramon Mitra is a former senator a looks a lil bit like Santa Claus.  This is his mansion / ranch in Palawan.

This our second stop during our Palawan roadtrip.   Gazing upon the vastness of the ranch is reminiscent of the good old days where our ancestors would take land ownership via distance and clarity of vision.  "Hanggang saan abutin ng tingin"  in the vernacular.

Visting old ancestral houses is like travelling back in time.  Each furniture,  artwork represents an era,  a distant memory,  a story.

Entrance fee: 20pesos each

Thanks to my one week stay in Palawan, I suddenly earned the BACKPACKER BADGE!!! 128514128077🏼127881128099

Oopsie I missed to review this place when I came to Palawan. This place is just close to Baker's Hill, so after we bought our goodies we went straight at Mitra's Ranch. You could just walk though, but we couldn't stand the heat, it was around 3pm and my guy-friend said he would just drive.

There were lots of vans/coasters parked, because this is part of the city tour.

Sorry no photo, because the place was just so-so to me. I mean, yeah it's relaxing and windy and all but nothing wow or special. We just watched the people doing zipline and listened to their scream.

To the ladies, be careful when you're wearing a dress or a skirt if you don't want your friends, family, or random strangers see things they should be seeing only when you're at the beach. 128539128523 It's really windy in this place. 128514 lol SECURE YOUR SKIRTS!!!! 128513128517

After less than 10 minutes, we already left. My friend told me there were horses here before but we've never seen one when we visited. 128522

Nice view. That's it. Haha. Other activities you can do here, besides the "obligatory" jump shot, are trampoline jumping, ziplining and horseback riding. Nothing much to be excited about.

This place is part of the city tour that we took... It's a bit further from Baker's Hill... The main reason people go here is for the beautiful view of Honda Bay... They also offer zip line, trampoline, and horseback riding, but we didn't try those anymore... This is where we took our mandatory jump shot for this trip, great view to boot!128516

Before going to Kamia beach resort, my friends and I passed by here, to let them see whats all about it. You can see a beautiful view of palawan, you can also see from here is the Honda bay, aside from that you can also ride horses and take pictures. They also have zip line here but we din't try it. The Ranch is owned by the family of the late speaker of the house, senator Ramon Mitra. There's no entrance here.

Located on a hill and just further up from Baker's Hill, Rancho Mitra offers a good view of Honda Bay and the nearby hillside. The deck is off limits though. Besides riding the zipline and having your picture taken with the horses, there's really not much to do at the ranch, probably because it's privately owned by the Mitra family in Palawan.
